"Well, Miss Milla, lead the way," Idan said to a young girl who, after giving evidence and compiling a report, volunteered to show them the way to the association's branch in this city.
During his testimony, Idan learned that the city was called Rumbus.
Using the privilege of the Awakened, Milla quickly arranged a car with a driver for them. Idan, who was not used to such a relationship, felt uncomfortable.
If Idan could, he would have asked Ned to take the form of so kind of beast and use it as a ans of transportation, like in the world of Junonia, where there were no cars and other modern ans of transportation.
The group got into a military SUV driven by a military man and, passing through checkpoints, left the base. They went straight to the branch of the awakened Association.
"The city seems a bit empty," Idan remarked, looking outside during the ride.
"Mr. Ethan, most of the civilians have long since evacuated to the central part of the Federation. There were only those who did not want to leave the city of their own free will," the military man who drove the SUV answered instead of Milla.
Idan was surprised, "Is the situation on the border really that serious and dangerous?" He had heard from his sister, Irene, that there were a lot of beasts on the border right now, and it was restless there. However, as they walked north, Idan and Arabel did not think about the current situation.
"Recently, the number of beast attacks on the city has increased significantly. Just yesterday, another attempt was made to break through the city's defenses," the military said, swerving the SUV at the intersection.
"Has anyone managed to determine the reasons why the beasts are attacking the city?" asked Idan, now seriously interested in this question.
"The exact causes remain unknown, but scientists often compare the wave of beast attacks with a natural disaster," Milla, who had been silent until now, answered instead of the driver. "Under normal conditions, when eting people, most beasts do not show aggression and do not attack first until a person takes the initiative."
Idan nodded, agreeing with Milla, and rembered the two foxes and the wolf he had recently encountered. These beasts didn't seem that scary or dangerous.
"The behavior of beasts in the wild has not changed much since the disaster. Small beasts are still prey for larger ones, and large ones often conflict over territories," to Idan's surprise, the silent Milla did not stop talking, but began to share information.

Idan frowned, finding the behavior of the beasts during the wave, as Milla had said, rather strange.
"What could have changed their behavior so much?" he asked.
"Everyone wants to know what exactly is behind all this," Milla replied. "So believe that nature itself is behind all this. They think that nature wants to destroy us humans in this way. And others believe that this is how nature tempers us, humanity, by sending us trials and at the sa ti balancing the rapidly growing number of beasts in the world."
Idan couldn't co to a definite conclusion without sufficient evidence. However, deep down, he couldn't help but admit that so of these claims were well-founded.
Idan was sure of only one thing: all these strange behaviors of beasts were probably related to the rapid and unnatural developnt of the world itself. The third calamity is about to begin, and perhaps the current actions of the beasts are preparing for the world's transition to a new stage of developnt.
"Are you from around here, Miss Milla?" asked Idan.
"No, I'm not from around here. I ca to this city to complete a task given by the Awakened Association to our Guild," Milla replied to Idan's question.
"Oh, are you a mber of the guild? And if it's not a secret, what is this assignnt?" asked Idan. He had heard from his sister, Irene, that the Arslan Guild had co to the north to protect the cities. It was probably the association that asked the Arslan Guild to help protect this city.
"Yes, I'm a mber of the Defenders Guild," Milla replied to Idan's surprise.
"Damn it! What a coincidence! This is Arslan's Guild!" exclaid Idan in his thoughts, surprised at such a coincidence.
"Defenders?" asked Idan, feigning surprise on his face. — "The Defenders Guild, whose leader is Arslan Morgan?"
"Yes, it's our guild!" Milla proudly confird, clearly enjoying Idan's reaction.
Idan, looking at her reaction, couldn't help but smile.
"Is your leader Arslan here? In this city?" he clarified.
"Yes, our leader is in the city," Milla confird.
"So Arslan is here after all," Idan said to himself, convinced that his goal was near.
"I need to deal with Kraus first, then quickly go get Arabel, and only then go in search of Arslan," Idan quickly sketched out his imdiate plans.
Idan didn't want Arabel to be involved in his assassination task. Therefore, as soon as he found out that Arslan was in this city, he imdiately decided to act quickly to complete the task and go after Arabel.
It's been a little over two days, and it must have been less than a day in Limbo.
As for Kraus, after eting with the military and receiving so information, Idan decided to eliminate him without drawing attention to himself.
As he understood it, the military currently wields enormous power and still mostly follows the rules of the old world. An open confrontation with the awakened one and his murder can have serious consequences for Idan.
"Do you belong to a guild, Mr. Ethan?" the driver asked, listening with interest to the conversation between the two awakened ones.

"Would you like to join our guild?" Milla imdiately invited Idan to join their Guild, based on her impression of pleasant communication with him and his high rank.
"Thank you for the offer, Miss Milla, I'll think about it. But before making a decision, I would like to et with the famous Arslan. However, not today," Idan imdiately voiced his desire to see Arslan, without refusing the offer.
"Hmm...I'll talk to the leader and let you know, — Milla replied after thinking for a while.
"Good, — Idan said, ntally glad that he had found a way to et Arslan without causing undue attention.
Soon, the SUV stopped at the entrance of a large building that served as a branch of the awakened Association.
