Milena’s heart skipped a beat when she saw her nightmare in reality. In recent days, that moving black hair had been preventing her from sleeping properly. Every ti she managed to doze off, she relived this frightening image over and over again.
Milena began to tremble, and her fragile body seed about to fall apart from this trembling.
"Hey, hey, hey!" Arabel was scared herself when she saw Milena’s violent reaction. She quickly dispelled her ability, and her hair returned to its original state.
It was only when Arabel’s black hair stopped moving that Milena was able to exhale and catch her breath. She sucked in air greedily, but the trembling still wouldn’t leave her. Milena looked at the motionless black hair with fear, fearing that they would start moving again.
Arabel sighed, looking at Milena’s pitiful state.
"What did Erza do to her that she reacts so sharply to everything?" Arabel wondered.
The only thing that comforted her was that Erza, the one who had brought her to such a state, was no longer alive.
"Milena," Arabel called, giving her so ti to calm.
Hearing the voice of the woman who called herself Elsa, Milena started.
"Please forgive for my rash actions. I never imagined that you would have such a violent reaction to my actions," Arabel apologized.
Milena didn’t say anything. She was just breathing heavily. There was still fear in her eyes. Now she was afraid not only of the hair, but also of the woman in front of her.
"I don’t belong to the Womskinner race," Arabel said. "I am the sa as you, Awakened from this world."
At the sa ti, Arabel asked her System to release energy fluctuations that were unique to the System and could only be detected by other Systems. She hoped that Milena’s System would be able to confirm her words.
And it worked!
Milena’s gaze changed slightly, and she no longer looked at Arabel with fright. Seeing this, Arabel had a faint smile of relief on her face.
"As I said before, I’m an Awakened One and I belong to a guild called Kingdom," Arabel repeated. "And I also know exactly what you’re up against."
"After all, it was the other two mbers of our Guild who saved you from creatures from another world, risking their lives," these words of recognition and confirmation, uttered by Arabel, made a strong impression on Milena. She looked at Arabel with surprise and mild disbelief.
Being in the ward of this Center, Milena had the opportunity to learn about the events taking place in the capital.
She had already heard about the appearance of two Awakened Ones who claid to be mbers of this mysterious Guild. Moreover, they claid that Ethan and Isabella were also mbers of their Guild.
However, there was no direct evidence that their words were true. All they had were their own words and a mystery similar to the one that surrounded Ethan and Isabella.
Milena herself found out that it was Ethan and Isabella who saved her when she ca to her senses.
At first, she didn’t imdiately rember who they were, but then she rembered that she had already t Ethan in the north, in the city of Rumbus, where she blad him for the disappearance of a mber of her forr guild, The Untouchables.
The next ti she saw him was in that mysterious village at the portal leading to another world, where he and Arslan’s older sister ca to their aid when she and the rest of the awakened were captured. However, unfortunately, as a result, they were unable to save anyone except Arslan. And that was because of the whim of a creature of Darkness.
That day, at the portal, she and the other awakened ones heard Ethan calling himself Idan Fein, responding to the demands of a creature of darkness nad Erza, a diamond-ranked being.
The sa Idan Fein who disappeared along with Arslan’s older sister. The sa guy who is also rumored to be the younger brother of Irene Fein, the leader of the Queens Guild.
Milena realized that it wasn’t Ethan Goldwing and Isabella White who really saved her, but Idan Fein and Arabel Morgan.
Arabel, noticing the reaction to her words, decided to clarify:
"It was Ethan Goldwing and Isabella White who saved you and the other awakened ones."
"No," — Milena spoke for the first ti, her voice low and weak.
"Not them," she shook her head slowly, as if denying sothing.
Arabel was pleasantly surprised to hear Milena finally speak. She didn’t correct her, just waited for her to say next.
Milena was amazed by her own act. She couldn’t understand why she had so abruptly refuted this woman’s words. Deep down, she was convinced that Idan and Arabel had saved her, and the others didn’t need to know that.
"An offer..." murmured Milena. "What offer do you have?"
She decided to change the subject.
Arabel, unlike the others, was not interested in finding out the real identities of Ethan and Isabella. Therefore, she was glad when Milena showed interest in her proposal.
"My offer is simple. I can help you deal with your current problem," Arabel stated bluntly. "And I can make sure that you don’t lose touch with your system."
These words had an effect on Milena. The others who ca to her never ntioned her System.
"In return, I want your loyalty," Arabel said imdiately.
Milena, having heard this suggestion, thought about it.
Many people tried to help her, and they all promised that they could do it, but demanded sothing in return. Milena felt that there were ulterior motives in their words, and not all of them were telling her the whole truth.
She didn’t know who all these people were. She only had a hunch that so of them belonged to the sa force that was just trying to get close to her from different angles.
Milena realized that there are many beautiful won in the world who are perhaps even more beautiful than her. Therefore, all these attempts to help her were not so much related to her beauty as to her family.
Everyone wanted to use her to gain access to the Orleans family. Without this connection to her family, few people would have co to visit her when she was in such a state.
Looking at Arabel, Milena also thought that the mysterious Guild called Kingdom wanted to help her precisely because of her family.
"Take your ti, Belle, take your ti..." Arabel repeated to herself, seeing Milena hesitate.
Arabel really wanted to take her away without waiting for her to make a decision on her own.
She restrained these urges, giving Milena ti to consider her offer. Just recently, Arabel scared this poor girl so much that she almost fainted.
