Chapter 703: The bride’s bouquet and the one who caught it

Unlike the other girls, Irene joined them without much enthusiasm. At the rchant’s command, she and the others moved to the edge of the dance floor.

“I want to remind you that the use of any abilities, Soul Forces and other magical manipulations by the participants is prohibited,” warned Lustina.

“Just like the bride, she is not allowed to use her strength and throw a bouquet without looking back,” the rchant added.

Irene watched as Arabel nodded in acceptance of this rule, looked around at everyone present, and turned to prepare to throw the bouquet. At this ti, the girls began to worry, but Irene remained calm, realizing that her chances of success were slim. And, to be honest, she wasn’t really trying to catch the bouquet.

Irene thought that her presence here was just a formality, nothing more.

Arabel waved her arms and tossed the bouquet high. Loud screams and commotion rang out in the air, and while Irene was watching the bouquet fly, suddenly the girls started pushing, distracting her attention.

“What’s going on?” she lost sight of the bouquet, focusing on her surroundings where the girls were jostling from side to side. Irene was slightly taken aback by this. Everything seed a little wrong.

“Look up,” soone whispered in her ear, and following this advice, Irene barely had ti to look up when sothing appeared in front of her, and she instinctively caught it.

Everyone around her burst into applause.

“Huh? What?” — Irene looked at the bouquet she had just caught with surprise and disbelief.

Arabel opened her eyes and turned to see with great joy that Irene had caught her bouquet.

Arslan, seeing the desired result, almost jumped with delight. He nodded gratefully to Sierra, who smiled and waved her hand to indicate that everything was fine.

The bridesmaids, who were also among the girls, looked at each other and smiled at each other, pleased with the successfully completed task.

Those who were watching what was happening noticed so oddities and, seeing who caught the bouquet, roughly understood what had happened.

Irene was completely stunned. She knew that her chances were slim, and she shouldn’t have been so lucky.

“Only if…” — when her thoughts cald down a little, she quickly began to analyze everything that had happened, and ca to the conclusion that it was not an accident or luck.

“Congratulations!” said Arabel, going up to Irene and hugging her.

Irene gladly returned the hug, but after releasing Arabel, she looked into her eyes and asked directly:

“Are you involved in this?”

“Eh? Involved? For what?” — Arabel wondered, not understanding what she was talking about.

From Arabel’s reaction, Irene realized that Arabel didn’t know what was going on, and turned her gaze to Arslan, who was looking at her with a silly smile.

“So this is his doing,” she whispered with a sigh, but then her face lit up with an embarrassed smile.

“Thank you,” she said to Arabel, lifting the bouquet above her head and waving it to the applause.

The other girls also joined in the congratulations.

“Does the bride-to-be have anyone she would like to dance with?” The rchant asked bluntly, and everyone, without waiting for Irene’s answer, fixed their eyes on one person.

For a mont, Irene considered asking soone else to dance in retaliation, but quickly abandoned the idea.

Under the close attention of others, she went to Arslan, who, without waiting, took a step towards her.

By the ti they t, the other girls had returned to their seats, freeing up the dance space for the two of them.

“Tell , Dan, did sothing happen during the bouquet throwing?” Arabel asked, returning to Idan and settling on his lap. “Your sister didn’t catch the bouquet by accident, did she?”

“Well, it’s not that obvious, but yes,” Idan smiled. “Your brother and your sisters helped her to ‘catch’ the bouquet.”

All the light balls went out, except for the one that hung over the heads of Arslan and Irene.

The music started playing, and under the gazes of the audience, Irene and Arslan began their dance, clinging to each other.

Compared to their first performance, their movents have beco smoother and more harmonious.

Irene, with her blonde hair, and Arslan, with his bright red hair like Arabel’s, looked like a really great couple.

Everyone present watched their every move with bated breath, unable to take their eyes off this srizing sight.

When the music stopped and Irene and Arslan finished their dance, there was silence for a mont, which then gave way to a standing ovation and applause.

The previous awkwardness disappeared from Irene’s face, giving way to a joyful and satisfied smile. Arslan was simply beaming with happiness, unable to take his eyes off Irene’s radiant face, which he saw so rarely.

“I’m a little sad that Bera and Ned are not with us,” Arabel said, sighing regretfully and still applauding Irene and her younger brother.

“ too,” Idan supported her. “But you know it was necessary.”

“Yes, I understand,” Arabel nodded. “It’s just a little sad that instead of being with us and sharing our happy day, they continue to work for the benefit of everyone, even though they’ve already done so much.”

Idan did not object, realizing that Arabel was right.

It wasn’t just Bera and Ned who were currently absent from the Kingdom. Almost all of the Doppelgangers that Irene and the others had contracted with were in the Capital, watching over what was happening and protecting those mbers of the Queens Guild, Red Foxes, and others who had not yet had access to the Kingdom and had not beco part of it.

The Dark System could only affect the Hosts of the Systems, so the Doppelgangers were ideal creatures to protect and collect information during this difficult ti.

Ned and Bera realized this and, without waiting for Idan to seal the Kingdom, volunteered to return to the Capital, taking their relatives with them. Their goal is to protect what belonged to their Masters.

“And now, Arabel and Idan, please co here,” the rchant said, interrupting Idan and Arabel’s thoughts.

“This is the sweetest mont of the wedding!” Lucinda added with a smile.

“It’s ti to cut the wedding cake!”
