Chapter 719: You can call Darkia
In the capital of the Federation, two young people, a guy and a girl, appeared at the door of a small eatery called Moonshade Pies.
The guy had brown hair and brown eyes, and the girl had long black hair and sapphire eyes. Both were dressed in ordinary casual outfits.
“Are you sure we should have co?” the girl asked her companion.
“Yes,” the guy nodded. “Since you beca my wife, Belle, the Dark System no longer poses the threat it once posed. Even the System itself has confird this.”
“But we cannot deny that the Dark System, as before, can manipulate others to get to us.
Yes, the Dark System can no longer infect us and make us its puppet, but is it permanent?
What if, as the world evolves and new powers are gained, the Dark System regains the abilities that can subjugate us?” Arabel asked anxiously, unable to shake off these thoughts.
“Of course you’re right, Belle,” — Idan said, taking her hands.
“But as long as it doesn’t pose a danger to us, we should take this opportunity to learn more about it. We already know almost nothing about him, and an enemy we don’t know may be more dangerous than soone we’ve already t.”
“Yes, it’s risky, but it’s a necessary risk.”
“Based on the little information we have; we can say with confidence that the Dark System knows almost everything about us.”
That was what scared Arabel.
The ssage from the Eye of the Web clearly referred to her five other versions of herself that existed in her own head, which few people knew about.
Arabel learned from Idan that for a brief mont, while she was under the influence of the Dark System, four versions of her appeared, and many saw them.
However, none of them ntioned their nas, which they used to address each other.
Therefore, no one should have known that Arabel nad them by their hair color, much less the order in which they appeared in her mind.
No one knew about the existence of Silver, the little fifth version, except Arabel herself. Even her husband, Idan, wasn’t aware. The only one who could have known about her was the Dark System.
The fact that the Eye of the Web had designated this place as the eting place in its ssage made Arabel even more convinced that the Dark System had read all her mories.
After all, this was the very place Arabel had visited in search of a chef, following the information she had received from Leo. It was then that the Dark Dragon appeared and began to rage in the capital.
Taking a deep breath and feeling the support of her husband, who held her hands, Arabel pushed open the door, and the enticing scent hit them again.
Rembering her last visit to this establishnt, Arabel followed Idan, who confidently stepped inside.
Although it was long past lunchti and it was still a long way from dinner, there were many more custors inside than Arabel had expected.
When they entered, all the visitors paid attention to them at the sa ti for only a mont, and then so returned to their orders, while others returned to their smartphone screens.
“Welco,” the waitress ca over, but before she could ask if they needed a table, they were called.
“They’re with ,” a slightly emotionless voice rang out, and everyone saw a young girl with long black hair and sunglasses stand up from the corner of the restaurant.
“We’re with her,” — Idan said to the waitress with a smile, and he and Arabel, holding hands, walked to the corner of the establishnt to this girl.
“Hehe,” the girl grinned as they approached her.
“Sit down, sit down,” she said, pointing to the empty seats opposite.
Idan and Arabel sat across from the girl and watched her closely, especially her black sunglasses.
Noticing their gaze, the girl leaned forward slightly with a smile and lowered her glasses, revealing her black eyes, which slightly frightened Arabel.
As Idan and Arabel had expected, they were indeed invited to this eting by the Dark System, which was sitting across from them, having taken over the body of the young Awakened One.
“If you’re hungry, feel free to order whatever you want, I’ll pay for it,” the Dark System said, handing Idan and Arabel the nu.
“How did she know it was us?” Arabel asked, a little worried, through a ntal link.
Both of them used not only a Ghost Mask, but also a bracelet, creating a completely different image not only in appearance, but also in the fluctuations and waves of their powers. Even Sierra and the others could barely recognize their disguise.
“Who knows,” Idan replied. “Perhaps she has so special ability. We don’t know anything about her yet.”
Idan was aware of his wife’s concern and remained alert the whole ti.
“Do you want anything?” asked Idan, handing Arabel the nu.
She looked at Idan for a mont, then picked up the nu and began to study it.
She was not averse to sothing to eat and at the sa ti once again appreciate the skill of the chef.
“And how should I address you?” asked Idan, turning to the Dark System.
“Hehe,” the Dark System laughed and rubbed her chin as if thinking. Instead of answering, she asked her own question: “How do you access your own System?”
Arabel looked up from studying the nu and looked at the Dark System.
“Let guess, do you, like everyone else, refer to your System simply as ‘The System’?” she asked with confidence in her guess.
Idan and Arabel exchanged glances and, without hiding or denying, nodded, confirming her guess.
“Darkia, you can call Darkia,” the Dark System said confidently. “You don’t have to treat like all these Systems, I’m different from them.”
“Darkia, huh?” wondered Idan. “So, Darkia, why did you decide to et with us? Why did you call us here?”
“Straight to the point, right?” The Dark System smiled. “I like you, Idan Fein.”
Arabel, who was holding the nu at the ti, crumpled the entire nu when she heard such a confession.
“And you, Arabel Morgan, I like you both,” the Dark System added.
“I called you here to congratulate you on your wedding first, and I even prepared a small gift,” she continued, ignoring Idan and Arabel’s surprise. “And secondly, I wanted to discuss with you the upcoming Third Disaster and the future of this world.”
I would like to express my gratitude to those who give gifts, power stones and golden tickets. Your support allows to stay motivated and continue working on the book.
