Chapter 1130: Let’s go in, we have something to discuss
After a stormy, but at the same time gentle and careful round, after spending some time in each other’s arms and tidying themselves up, Idan and Arabel left the bedroom of the family home closer to lunch.
“Okay, go mind your own business. And I’ll go get some more sleep in the time room, where no one will bother me,” with these words, Arabel kissed goodbye and went to Essora’s house.
After seeing his wife off, Idan, using his power over the Kingdom, quickly examined who was doing what. He then focused on his three contracts.
“Hmm… Ned is not in the Kingdom,” Idan frowned slightly.
“He’s probably in the dungeon with the others, considering that Milena is there too,” he suggested with a slight smile.
As Idan knew, the baby dragon was still in the Lava Lake, visiting his parents.
“I wonder how Hailey is? Could the dragon’s parents help her?” wondered Idan.
Arabel had told him yesterday that she’d had to transfer Hailey to Limbo at the request of the dragon’s parents. They wanted to see the human girl to whom their boy had bee so attached and so persistently asked for help.
“This little rascal has already forgotten who his master is,” Idan shook his head with a smile, suspecting that the baby dragon’s affection for Hailey was mainly due to her Dragon System.
“I hope Hailey gets better soon,” with these thoughts, Idan got distracted and looked at another place, where a little wolf, sparkling with lightning, was chasing thunderclouds all over the Kingdom.
Of course, this wolf cub was a Pulsar.
“Finally, someone is enjoying life,” Idan laughed and did not stop him. For Pulsar, lightning was the same as flame was for fire spirits: a source of food, strength, and instinct.
“Well, it’s time to meet with Grandma and the others before returning to studying the Golden Fire,” with these words, Idan teleported to the entrance to his and Arabel’s house, where his older brother Ryan was sitting alone on the terrace.
Ryan’s thoughtful expression changed to a serious one when he noticed Idan’s appearance.
Idan frowned when he saw his brother, mostly because he was sitting in his favorite chair.
Then, with a sigh, he nodded in greeting.:
“Ryan.”
“Idan,” Ryan replied, also nodding in response.
“Let’s go in, we have something to discuss,” Idan suggested, opening the door first. With the help of his Soul Force, he immediately found his grandmother in one of the bedrooms on the second floor. She was with Estelle and the two twin boys.
“Go down to the first floor,” he sent them a short message.
Once inside, Idan looked around the kitchen and, remembering that he hadn’t cooked in a long time, decided to cook something for himself and the others.
Ryan, who came in after him, saw Idan go into the kitchen and start taking out ingredients, and stopped abruptly.
“Can you cook, too?” he blurted out.
Idan, without turning around, just nodded silently and continued cooking.
Remembering that his grandmother and Estelle were still mortals, Idan had already stripped the ingredients of most of their nutrients and mana during the preparation stage.
Footsteps were heard, and soon Eleanor and Estelle came down the stairs, each holding a small boy in their arms.
Both women were pleasantly surprised to find Idan in the kitchen.
Estelle glanced at her son, who frowned with displeasure, because despite his mother’s best efforts, Ryan couldn’t cook well.
Eleanor, watching how deftly Idan handled the groceries, felt proud. But at the same time, she felt sad again, remembering how much time she had missed.
“Don’t stand, sit down,” Idan said, noticing that everyone was standing and silently looking at him. “I’ll be done soon.”
The three of them sat on one side of the table. Idan, as he said, finished the preparations quickly and placed several dishes in the center so that everyone could choose what they liked.
“Bon appetit,” with these words, Idan started the meal first, and the others followed suit.
“How delicious,” Estelle almost bit her tongue and quickly covered her mouth.
Eleanor silently tasted one dish after another with a satisfied smile, enjoying her grandson’s cooking.
Ryan tried to stay calm, but after trying the first course, he gripped his fork with force, breaking it.
His gaze fixed on Idan.
“How the hell can he be so perfect?” lamented Ryan, feeling his confidence in himself as an older brother rapidly melting away.
When everyone had finished eating, after a short pause, Idan said:
“Let me start by saying that Belle told me everything yesterday.”
“I don’t mind you being here, but I strongly object to his presence.”
Estelle looked down, and Eleanor looked sad. Only Ryan nodded slightly, agreeing with his words.
“I’m not going to tell you who to talk to outside the Kingdom. This is your life, and I won’t forbid you to keep in touch with him if that’s what you want.”
After a short pause, Idan’s gaze became colder.
“And I warn you right away: don’t try to bee a bridge between us. Do not convey his words, requests, or regrets. And even more so, do not do anything on his orders if it can somehow harm the Kingdom.”
After giving everyone some time, Idan turned his gaze to Estelle and his two younger brothers, after which he continued:
“Estelle, I agree with everyone that it’s better for the boys to stay safe here.”
“I totally agree with that,” Ryan nodded. In the short time he had spent here, he had made sure that this place was much safer than outside.
“Of course, I won’t mind if you want to show them to him, but I want someone from the Kingdom to acpany them in this case. I don’t want anything bad to happen to them.”
“Thank you, thank you, Idan,” Estelle said, hugging one of the twins. She was glad to be here, where her boys were safe, but at the same time she did not seek to hide them from her father if he still wanted to see them.
“Grandma,” — Idan said to Eleanor.
“Tell me, are you going to continue to live the rest of your life as a mortal and hold on to your pride, or have you already changed your mind and are ready to bee part of a new world?”
Eleanor did not immediately answer Idan’s question. She looked at him, then at the grandson she was hugging, at the second grandson in Estelle’s arms, and finally at Ryan, her first grandson. She remembered the only granddaughter who wasn’t here right now.
She smiled and looked at Idan.
“Of course, I am against accepting help from beings from other worlds if this is the only way to bee a part of the new world. But if you, my grandson, have another way, I’m ready to consider it.
Idan had partially anticipated such a response from her. Therefore, immediately after she said these words, he handed her a small box he had prepared beforehand, saying:
“First of all, accept this as a gift from Belle and me.”
“Eh? What is it?”— Eleanor was pleasantly surprised, accepting the box, and slightly excited.
Estelle and Ryan looked at the box curiously, wondering what was inside.
“Open it,” — Idan said.
As soon as she opened the lid, the kitchen was immediately filled with the scent of herbs.
Eleanor saw three cells inside, each containing one tablet.
“It’s a Rank 1 Longevity Pill, a Rank 1 Youth Pill, and a Rank 1 Beauty Pill,” Idan explained.
Upon hearing the names of all the pills, Estelle and Ryan widened their eyes, and Eleanor almost dropped the box in disbelief.
