The trash can suddenly exploded like it had been released...
"Boom boom boom boom boom!"
Five grenades exploded simultaneously, their detonations ringing out at the sa mont.
The shock waves from the grenades shattered the bodies of dozens of people—these were modified grenades, and even the aftershocks could displace the internal organs of those nearby.
"Bang bang bang!"
Even those twenty ters from the grenades were flung against nearby buildings, while those closer were turned into minceat, indistinguishable from each other. Only the skulls retained their shape, though they were covered in blood and flesh.
Aaaaah!
The sudden explosion caused the surrounding people to scream in terror. They scrambled blindly, trying to find escape routes, but the crowded streets led to instant chaos.
Ye Hao and Xue Zhaolong used the crowd for cover to evade snipers from the high-rise. In the Zhuorong Town of Tokyo Tower, the duo watched Ye Hao and his group's movents with urgency, aware that approaching the Tokyo Tower might only reveal their position.
"I'm so excited," Lu Yunsong's eyes lit up as he watched Ye Hao and Xue Zhaolong weave through the crowd, speaking with enthusiasm.
"I'm really worried." Zhuorong Town's expression hardened, the overwhelming number of enemies made the situation perilous; a slight misstep could see Ye Hao's group gunned down.
"Wait! Trust the boss," Lu Yunsong patted Zhuorong Town's shoulder for reassurance.
"Right!" The two watched Ye Hao and Xue Zhaolong rush towards the fringes of the crowd, helpless to assist, feeling greatly anxious.
Ye Hao darted through the crowd, occasionally picking off one or two shots. The Sun Team, observing Ye Hao's guerrilla tactics, grew anxious, as drawing their guns would only cause greater panic.
Behind them, the ground was littered with minced flesh, which was promptly trampled even more by the frightened masses, the bloody scent perating the entire street.
This was not the end. The grenades Ye Hao had thrown at the second location were about to detonate.
"Boom boom..."
A powerful explosion erupted, throwing the crowd into another panic of bloody and gory chaos.
The whole street reeked of blood.
Watching from behind, right-wing leader Yoshida Koyama scread, "Ah! Kill him for , I'll bear all the consequences, kill him!"
As Yoshida Koyama spoke, he pulled out a handgun, firing rounds at Ye Hao's hiding spot.
"Pfft pfft pfft!"
Several civilians were hit by Yoshida Koyama's bullets and instantly dropped dead. Ye Hao kept dodging through the crowd, stunned by the brazenness of Jiepeng's right-wing elents, enraged to the point of firing into a densely packed crowd.
And this was not the end. After Yoshida Koyama fired, hundreds of right-wing elents simultaneously pulled out Desert Eagles, aiming at Ye Hao and Xue Zhaolong's hiding spots and firing volleys.
Ye Hao noticed the thinning crowd behind him and shouted to Xue Zhaolong, "Long, it's your ti to shine!"
"Yes, boss!" Xue Zhaolong discarded his shirt, revealing powerful muscles.
He brandished the MG3, unleashing a barrage towards the right-wing behind them, while swiftly following Ye Hao towards Tokyo Tower, advancing through retreating steps.
"Rat-a-tat-tat!"
The MG3's racket drowned the street, casting an even darker shadow of death over the already terror-stricken civilians; those faint-hearted ones felt their hearts breaking.
In the blink of an eye, Ye Hao and the right-wing elents' shootout lasted a re minute, but the street was littered with over five hundred bodies—so shot, so blown to pieces, so trampled to death, and so frightened to death.
The Sun Team mbers in front yelled, "Idiot! Stop shooting..."
Yet, the right-wing elents ignored them and continued to fire at Ye Hao's group, determined to achieve their objectives.
Xue Zhaolong was already injured, and even with Ye Hao's swift advance using the crowd, he sustained several grazes.
Blood oozed profusely.
Ye Hao swiftly picked off shots at the front, instantly exploding the head of the leader who had earlier shouted "Idiot stop."
Ye Hao, in that mont of tension, overlooked the security the eighth-generation system had provided and the sense of insecurity felt without it. He vividly recalled three years ago, taking two subordinates to a turbulent region in South Africa, surviving by killing and looting, where anyone could beco a target for a shootout.
Ye Hao's resolve strengthened amid this battle; even without the eighth-generation system, he maintained unwavering confidence in his instincts to conquer anything.
It was this belief and unwavering heart that allowed him to weave effortlessly through the dense crowd.
"Idiot!" The Sun Team mbers growled angrily as several attempted to pull out guns to eliminate Ye Hao.
However, their nation's laws forbade it, their conscience compelling them not to draw guns, for doing so would lead to more civilian deaths.
And their Emperor's birthday erged as a day of sorrow.
"Long, stop firing, let's charge ahead." Ye Hao saw only twenty ters to the front, planning to break through with Xue Zhaolong.
Xue Zhaolong swiftly turned his head, his body bleeding from multiple places, but he pushed through with sheer will, trusting Ye Hao to lead him out of Jiepeng—alive or dead, his body would not remain here.
Ye Hao raised his H-3, this ti not picking off shots but firing at any movent towards them.
"Boss, give the gun, I'll kill them!" Xue Zhaolong tossed the MG3 to Ye Hao.
Ye Hao discreetly drew another H-3 from his waist, a ploy to confuse the adversary, preventing them from discerning unusual movents on his part.
On the rooftop, a sniper anxiously sought his commanding officer's direction; "Captain, target locked, should I fire?"
"Don't shoot, keep a tight watch on their location, report to at any mont," said Captain Muto Jiro of the self-defense team.
"But..." the soldier wanted to argue that letting this continue would cause more deaths.
Unfortunately, Muto Jiro feared responsibility, coldly replying, "Am I the captain or are you?"
"Yes, Mr. Muto." The sniper atop Tokyo Tower simred with frustration, unable to act, overwheld by restlessness.
"Whoosh whoosh whoosh!"
Ye Hao and Xue Zhaolong raised their H-3s, advancing unchecked, shooting at any movent. The Sun Team could only hide behind cover to dodge Ye Hao's group's suppressive fire.
"Whoosh whoosh whoosh!" Ye Hao and the Sun Team squared off directly... (to be continued). If you enjoy this work, feel free to vote for it on Qidian using recomndation or monthly tickets. Your support is my greatest motivation. Mobile users, please visit m.qidian for reading.
