Then, Tang Xiaoyun led Ye Hao towards Zhongnanhai, but Ye Hao was stopped upon entry.
The guard was a fully ard officer from the Security Bureau, responsible for the main security of Zhongnanhai.
"Hello, this is Zhongnanhai. Please present your credentials," the Security Bureau officer saluted.
"He's here to visit my father." Tang Xiaoyun lowered the car window with a smile.
Seeing it was Tang Xiaoyun, the Security Bureau officer greeted promptly, "Miss Tang, it's you!"
"Yes! The driver here is Ye Hao, a Huaxia soldier, though I'm not sure which division or regint he belongs to. However, he's here to visit my father today." Tang Xiaoyun smiled.
"Well… Miss Tang, I'm sorry, but as per protocol, military personnel generally are not allowed into Zhongnanhai," the officer refused entry.
"Is my face insufficient?"
"Apologies, duties as demanded," the officer's face briefly showed embarrassnt but remained firm about not allowing unauthorized entry into Zhongnanhai.
Seeing this, Ye Hao reluctantly took out his Major General's insignia, which he rarely showcased, to see if it would be effective today.
"Hello, would this count as a pass?" Ye Hao handed over his Major General's identification to the officer.
The officer imdiately recognized the authenticity of the Major General's identification and saluted, "Greetings, sir. However, this does not serve as an entry pass to Zhongnanhai."
The officer returned the Major General's insignia booklet to Ye Hao with both hands.
Tang Xiaoyun quickly took it and opened it. Upon seeing "Ye Hao, Major General of the People's Republic of Huaxia," she was bewildered by the wind. Ye Hao turned out to be a Major General? This... this is unbelievable! How old is he?
"You... are already a Major General?" Tang Xiaoyun stared dumbfounded at Ye Hao, asking.
"Several months now, but I feel that this Major General title wasn't appropriately earned, so I rarely bring it out." Ye Hao smiled, acknowledging that the way he earned the title was inappropriate for public announcent, as it involved eliminating potential threats to Huaxia from other countries and asserting Huaxia's power.
Should others learn of his deeds, they'd likely wish to tear Ye Hao apart.
"Why can't you reveal it?" Tang Xiaoyun asked in confusion.
"Haha, military secret. Well, it seems I won't be able to visit Chairman Tang today. Just let him know Ye Hao ca to pay a visit when you get a chance." Ye Hao smiled.
"No way, you've co this far, how can you not go in? I'll call my dad." With that, Tang Xiaoyun took out her phone and called her family.
Once connected, Tang Xiaoyun sweetly asked, "Dad, are you ho yet?"
"Is sothing the matter?" Tang Xiangdong on the other end answered with a serious tone, as no one typically called him while he was working.
"Ye Hao wants to visit you but is now stopped outside Zhongnanhai, Dad..." Tang Xiaoyun said.
"Oh? Comrade Ye Hao is here? Then, please hand the phone to the officer," Tang Xiangdong instructed.
"Okay." Tang Xiaoyun nodded and handed the phone over to the officer, "My dad wants to speak to you."
Hearing this, the officer quickly took the call and asked, "Chairman Tang, any instructions?"
"Comrade Ye Hao is a great contributor to the People's Republic of Huaxia. He should not be stopped from entering Zhongnanhai in the future," Tang Xiangdong instructed over the phone.
"Yes, Chairman." The officer said and then returned the phone to Tang Xiaoyun.
Tang Xiaoyun took the phone and let Ye Hao drive in.
As they drove inside, Tang Xiaoyun curiously asked, "My dad said you're a great contributor to Huaxia? What exactly did you do to earn such a title?"
"Chairman Tang was flattering; Ye Hao doesn't deserve such accolades," Ye Hao modestly replied.
"Hmph! If you don't want to tell, I can still ask my dad," Tang Xiaoyun playfully huffed.
"Haha." Ye Hao chuckled without further comnt, driving straight towards Chairman Tang's siheyuan.
Upon arrival at the siheyuan, a strong and sharp-eyed middle-aged man approached and stopped the vehicle, asking, "Miss Tang, who is this?"
"Brother Wu, this is Ye Hao."
"Strangers may not approach the residence of the leader's family; please leave promptly," the middle-aged man coldly glanced at Ye Hao.
