"Who is she? Did you bring us another sister?"
"Do you believe Cheng Dao's words? That foul-mouthed guy. I did bring a girl back today, but there's absolutely nothing between us..."
"Excuse , sorry to interrupt, I forgot to grab a cola." Suddenly, Cheng Dao re-entered the hall from outside the Dragon and Phoenix Castle, raising his hands as if he feared Ye Hao might hit him.
Cheng Dao walked to the fridge, took out a bottle of cola, while Ye Hao stared at him, afraid he'd spout more nonsense.
Ye Hao's worry turned out to be justified. As Cheng Dao reached the doorway with the cola, he suddenly remarked, "If I recall correctly, that girl is the one who called the master hundreds of tis that night, leading him to sneak out for a late-night rendezvous... whoosh..."
After finishing his sentence, Cheng Dao exited the doorway again, narrowly avoiding Ye Hao's pair of slippers thrown at him...
Ye Hao felt as if a horde of grass-eating Ni Ma were approaching him. Why does nothing good ever co out of Cheng Dao's mouth?
The few won looked at Ye Hao with a questioning attitude, as if daring Ye Hao to confess if he had done anything to wrong them.
Confronted with this scene, Ye Hao had no choice but to explain, recounting everything from Zhang Kexin's initial approach to his appointnt of Zhang Peitang today, without leaving out a single detail.
As Ye Hao finished, Cheng Dao opened the door again.
"Whoosh!"
Ye Hao instantly flashed to the door, having prepared the Eighteen Dragon Subduing Palms for quite so ti.
"Awoo..."
Seeing this, Cheng Dao shouted, "Master, spare ..."
Due to Ye Hao having prepped the palm technique for a while, and Cheng Dao blocking hastily.
Cheng Dao was struck, his entire body flung backward, cursing inwardly, it seems the master was indeed prepared!
"Co inside again, I'll cripple you," Ye Hao glared at Cheng Dao from the doorway and snorted.
Cheng Dao lay haplessly on the ground, groaning and struggling.
The Nanling Martial Fool, cigarette in mouth, floated past, accidentally stepping on Cheng Dao. Furrowing his brows, he muttered to himself, "Sigh, the floor of the Dragon and Phoenix Castle isn't even. To ensure the boss's safety at night, better step a few more tis and level it out."
"Bang bang bang!"
After a few kicks, the Nanling Martial Fool said lightly, "This floor's turned to mush from my stomping. My back's not sore, my legs aren't aching, I'm going to sleep now."
Thus the Nanling Martial Fool left the scene, leaving Cheng Dao battered and bruised, struggling.
Eventually, Cheng Dao let out a sorrowful cry, "Looks like the result of being a jerk is rightfully being condemned by all!"
...
The following day.
Ye Hao woke up early, and Shangguan Longyi arrived to pick Ye Hao up for the airport.
Last night, Ye Hao had arranged matters at ho, instructing them to endure should anything arise. If necessary, they should first restrain their adversaries, and Ye Hao would deal with everything upon his return.
"Boss, I want to join the Wudang gathering too." Shangguan Longyi declared enthusiastically from the driver's seat.
"Then go ahead!" Ye Hao reclined in the back, reading the newspaper, when a headline captured his attention.
Newspaper headline: "Over the past few days, more than a hundred scientists across the nation have disappeared, including several renowned Russian scientists, so Nobel laureates."
Ye Hao continued reading.
The rest comprised of conjectural comntary, so saying the scientists no longer wished to conduct research, having earned enough to live out their lives. Others speculated the scientists were abducted for illegal research purposes.
Though there were many speculations, Ye Hao wasn't swayed. Even if one or two scientists intended to retire after years of funding, it's implausible for a hundred scientists to vanish at once. It's entirely unscientific.
Ye Hao believed this was a preditated kidnapping, suspecting it was for illegal research.
"Long Yi, have you seen this news about the kidnapped scientists?" Ye Hao asked Shangguan Longyi ahead.
"I have, but I have no idea what's going on," Shangguan Longyi replied indifferently, uninterested since he knew the missing weren't Huaxia's scientists.
Ye Hao nodded, acknowledging personal opinions. It's understandable if he chose not to care.
Yet Ye Hao quietly committed the matter to mory, convinced it was no coincidence hundreds of scientists vanished. There must be a conspiracy at play.
After arriving at the airport with Cheng Dao, Ye Hao encountered Qian Xiaosheng.
Qian Xiaosheng sported sunglasses, dressed smartly in autumn attire, a small backpack slung behind.
"Qian," Ye Hao greeted with a smile.
"Ye, as charming as ever!" Qian Xiaosheng replied with a grin.
"Oh, it's nothing compared to you, Qian." Ye Hao retorted.
"Master, you're indeed nothing, but compared to him, neither is he," Cheng Dao interjected dismissively.
Ye Hao coughed quietly, signaling Cheng Dao to watch his words.
While Cheng Dao possessed so skill, Ye Hao believed in the skill comparison between Cheng Dao and Qian Xiaosheng, Qian Xiaosheng had the upper hand.
Cheng Dao sulked but refrained from boasting further.
"Haha, apologies Qian, Cheng Dao was rude. Allow to apologize on his behalf," Ye Hao offered with a laugh.
"No worries, Cheng Dao is strong, quite capable," Qian Xiaosheng complinted Cheng Dao with a smile.
Nonetheless, Ye Hao detected a hint of disdain towards Cheng Dao's skills in Qian Xiaosheng's eyes.
It piqued Ye Hao's curiosity about Qian Xiaosheng's true skill level. Though only twenty-three, he was already an advanced innate practitioner.
"I think Qian's skills surely surpass his," Ye Hao remarked with a smile.
Yet Ye Hao's comnt displeased Cheng Dao, though under Ye Hao's stern gaze, he dared not utter a word.
Soon, they boarded a plane to Hubei Province, chatting and laughing along.
In this age of convenience, flying from Yanjing to Hubei took rely an hour and a half.
Upon reaching Wuhan, the group imdiately headed to Shiyan.
Wudang, located within Shiyan City, bordered by the Du River on the west, Nan River on the east, Han River to the north, and Junjiantan River and Manan River to the south. On the surface, it's acclaid as a national AAAAA scenic site, but covertly it's the birthplace of Wudang's legacy.
Arriving at the site, Ye Hao and company marveled at the Celestial Pillar Peak, rising over 1,600 ters, surrounded by Seventy-Two Peaks, Thirty-Six Rocks, Twenty-Four Streams, Eleven Caves, Three Ponds, Nine Springs, Ten Pools, Nine Wells, Ten Stones, Nine Stages, and more.
Taking a deep breath, Cheng Dao gazed at Wudang Mountain, grinning involuntarily, reminiscing fondly about his days in Wudang.
"Finally back at Wudang, my ho, I've returned," Cheng Dao exclaid with a long, deep breath.
"This guy must be crazy, Wudang's his ho now..."
"Haha, probably after begging outdoors for so long, now he's plotting how to sneak into Wudang Mountain for free als and a place to stay."
"Haha..." The group eyed Cheng Dao as if they were watching a spectacle. (To be continued. If you like this work, feel free to recomnd or vote for it on Qidian (qidian). Your support is my greatest motivation. Mobile users please visit m.qidian to read.)
