The celebration was promptly fild, as Luis and Skylar made sure to paint the cafe in a positive light.
"How long will the editing take, and when can we expect to see results?" Michael asked, being unfamiliar with reporters’ work.
Luis scratched the back of his head. "Truthfully, things ended much faster than I anticipated, and the footage is pretty clean already. It shouldn’t take longer than a day to edit it."
Skylar giggled. "The second it’s ready, we are uploading it online. Our page isn’t that popular just yet, but it should at the very least guarantee a certain number of eyes to set their interest on the cafe. As for real results, it would take about a week to see if the video will be a hit."
Satisfied with their response, Michael bid them farewell.
"Oh, before we go, can you promise to not watch the docuntary for the first week or two? I want it to be a surprise." Skylar added with a mysterious smile.
Since Michael didn’t see harm in that, he agreed. After all, his sister would certainly watch it and warn him if there was sothing wrong.
"Enzo!" Once he saw his brother, Niko instantly rushed up to him. "This place is so clean, and the two ladies, Scarlett and Isabella, are so nice! Can we live sowhere close to them?!"
Taken by surprise, Enzo found the idea of his little brother thoughtful. After all, it would be for the best if they moved to a place where they knew their neighbors. Not to ntion with the nearby gang gone, it ant that the streets would be safer. If there was ti to buy a place of residence, it would be now, before the prices skyrocketed with the gang’s influence gone.
"If that is okay with Michael." Enzo glanced at his rival. Even if the idea was enticing, he didn’t want to be a nuisance.
"I don’t mind." Michael shrugged. The more trustworthy people were close to his family, the better they would be protected.
"Mom, I am heading out for a bit." Michael said. With the advertisent soon going online, it would an their custor base would skyrocket. That was why he planned to buy additional tables and large umbrellas for outside use. Up until now their coffee shop hadn’t been popular enough to put tables outside, but that was destined to change soon.
While Michael was out on his shopping expedition, Richard approached Isabella and bowed respectfully.
"So you are the Boss’s mother? I wish to express my gratitude any way I can. Even if I may look quite ugly with the scars going across my face, I hope you see as dependable as if I am part of your family."
Isabella was montarily surprised. She wasn’t really knowledgeable about cultivators, yet even she knew what kind of status Grandmasters held. Not only was this man following her son, but he even bowed his head to her.
’I guess his outer appearance gave the wrong impression.’ She sighed internally. It was as they said: never judge a book by its cover.
"Please raise your head. Every friend of Michael is part of our family. There is no need to speak to so formally."
Stubbornly Richard shook his head. "I can’t do that. I owe my life to your son."
Overhearing their conversation, Ava butted in. "Really now? If you are so thankful, then I guess you must be inford. Apparently there is a man with an influential background that wished to force Michael’s sister to marry him."
"Ho? And the na of that man is...?" Richard whispered, his eyes starting to gleam with a dangerous edge.
"Don’t get any funny ideas. Michael has specifically ordered us to not take action. According to his words, he would take care of them." Ava interrupted his plan.
"..."
Going silent for a few seconds, the Grandmaster realized that Ava worked as a waitress in the cafe. Which had the side effect of ensuring she was close to their family.
"In that case, would you consider hiring as well?" Richard requested, casting a hopeful gaze toward Isabella.
"Eh?" The woman was stunned. She had agreed to let Ava work for the shop because she lived with them and because her woman’s intuition told her that she and Michael would get closer. But hiring even more personnel would certainly put a strain on her budget.
"I think it’s fine." Scarlett spoke up, seeing her mother’s hesitation.
"After all, we are about to see a surge of custors."
Isabella considered the idea. "But that is only if the docuntary goes viral, right? What if it fails to get enough traction?"
Staring her mother dead in the eye, Scarlett reasoned. "Of course it won’t fail. Michael is a part of it after all."
’When did she begin to think so highly of her brother?’ Isabella wondered as a smile tugged at her face. ’But I get it... He indeed gives the feeling that whenever he sets his mind on sothing, it will get accomplished.’
"Then so be it. Welco to our cafe." Isabella decided to hire the Grandmaster.
"I swear you won’t regret your decision!" Richard bowed again, certain that the future held many entertaining uncertainties.
The week passed seemingly in a flash. Michael had spared no expense with expanding the cafe, bringing in nurous more tables and upgrading the interior of the kitchen. All to make his mother’s dream a reality.
"I wonder how the video is going..." Scarlett mumbled, opening the site of the reporter duo.
"Heh..." Instantly her lips curled into a mischievous smile reading the comnts of the docuntary.
Noticing the reaction of his sister, Michael pressed her for answers.
"So? How is it?" He asked yet to watch the docuntary, considering Skylar’s request.
"You will find out soon enough." Scarlett didn’t elaborate further.
Ding!
At that mont the bell positioned over the entrance chid pleasantly as a woman entered. Her outfit was a bit unusual, a tight black dress that seed more suited for a nightclub than a café. Still, Michael wasn’t one to judge.
"Welco to your humble cafe. What can I get you?" He smiled warmly, today being behind the counter.
"!!!"
The eyes of the woman enlarged as her gaze settled on him.
"So the rumors were true..." She whispered quietly to herself as she neared.
She stopped in front of him, her face flushing with embarrassnt as she tugged her dress downwards, emphasizing her cleavage.
"Um..." Her face turned rosy as she handed him a piece of paper.
"If that’s okay with you, c—could I get your number?" She stuttered, her eyelashes fluttering nervously.
