The echoes of explosions rang overhead, drowning out the sounds they made.

Victoria attempted to take shallow breaths, panic slowly settling in her erratically beating heart.

’Oh no.’

Her embrace tightened.

’I don’t want to stop.’

A big... No colossal lapse of judgnt on her part.

She was soone who usually planned things well in advance, following a clear course of action and rarely straying from her goals.

Today her objective had been simple: confess to Michael. He would either accept her love or reject it, and she would respond accordingly.

If he accepted her, she would grow stronger over the years, perhaps even centuries, eventually surpass her grandfather, and beco the leader of the Golden Vanguard. By doing so, she would earn Michael’s trust and persuade him to share the secrets he had kept to himself. And then, and only then, could they lose themselves in the heat of passion.

Even if today turned out exactly as she hoped, a single kiss was all she had allowed herself, and nothing more. After all, she by no ans wanted to ruin things by rushing blindly.

As seconds blended into minutes, Michael’s heat spread through her body. A raw, feral scent awakened sothing deep in her soul, and the realization of her miscalculation finally began to settle in, turning her masterfully crafted plan upside down.

Much like an author who wakes up on a sunny morning, brews a cup of coffee, stares into a docunt file, mind utterly empty, only to suddenly proclaim aloud, "You know what? Fuck it!" before derailing the entire story on a whim.

Anyway...

Victoria’s mind seed to short-circuit. Yes, circumstances had led them to see each other naked in the past, the result of grueling battles. But only now, as Victoria lay upon him, her breasts pressed tightly against his torso, did she truly grasp how sturdy his fra was, like iron beneath her.

’I need to stop.’

She told herself, her tongue responding to his call, intertwining with his in their mouths.

’Control yourself!’

Weird dilemma... Her mind tried to pry free, yet her body wouldn’t cooperate. Any hope of resistance vanished the mont Michael wrapped his arms around her waist, his firm hold effortlessly lting her resolve.

Eventually, with the threat of oxygen running out, their faces parted. Faces flushed red as they desperately panted for air.

Undoubtedly, this was Victoria’s one and only chance to break free. Even with Michael’s hands on her waist, she had regained just enough of her rationality and composure to halt what was about to happen.

Yet the next mont, a shiver ran down her spine as Michael’s hand drifted lower, slipping beneath her bikini with deliberate ease.

Unable to resist the feral temptation, he instinctively squeezed her bottom softly, which caused her to let out an adorable squeak.

"Ah~"

"..."

Freezing on the spot, the two stared at each other silently.

"We are in a public space..." Victoria gulped drily. "But... due to the darkness, even if sothing happens, no one will see a thing."

The first part was her rationality speaking, the second was her longing desire.

"We might be heard..." Michael took a deep breath. "But the fireworks are drawing out the sounds well enough."

Similarly, Michael too appeared to be in internal debate.

It was a fragile balance that rested on a thin thread, where the smallest misstep could tip everything to either side.

For a mont, Victoria felt Michael retreating his hand backwards. Whether it was a byproduct of her imagination or reality was unknown. Regardless, the end result was the sa. Acting on impulse, her hand shot forward, settling on his palm.

That insignificant action sent them spiraling over the edge.

In a flash, the top of her bikini fell to the ground, and the bottom shifted aside, opening a clear path. At the sa ti, Michael’s swimsuit dropped lower, revealing his mighty dragon.

Victoria gasped at the sheer sight. "Gods... They can get this big?"

Although the sight startled her, it also weirdly captivated her. Goosebumps rose on her body as she lay upon him, gently accepting him within her.

A long breath escaped her lips, and when she looked down, a thin line of blood sent her heart into a flutter. Still, it wasn’t as painful as she’d feared from what she’d read online. Michael made sure to ease her discomfort with his steady, gentle approach.

"I can’t believe it." Victoria whispered, looking past Michael’s sculpted abs where they connected into one.

Her gaze settled on his intense eyes, which seed to wonder if she was in too much pain. Clearly, he was holding back a lot for her sake.

Once the little pain she experienced faded, her body relaxed upon him again.

"I want to feel your love... So please don’t hold anything back."

At that mont Victoria was glad the firework display had prolonged for so long and proved louder than anticipated. Still, she resorted to putting her hand over her lips in order to keep her voice low.

"Hm... hm~!"

With each thrust, which always seed to poke in the right spot, her hips shuddered, lting from his touch. As her restrained moans drifted in Michael’s ears, the fla of his longing ignited even brighter within his spirit, urging him to keep going.

"You!"

Realizing he upped the intensity further, she was left with no other option but to intertwine her tongue with his once more in the hopes of limiting her charming voice from leaking out.

At the end, her palms dug into his muscular fra as an intense wave of euphoria washed over them.

"Sorry." Michael whispered, keeping his voice low. "I lost myself for a mont there and didn’t manage to pull out in ti."

Victoria giggled, feeling an odd sense of pride as warmness spread within her. "I don’t mind."

Not keen on pushing their luck further, they scrambled to put on their swimsuits properly and fix their appearance. A few monts later the fireworks finally settled, and the darkness over the capital lifted.

’At least nobody saw us...’

Both of them let out a sigh of relief as a weight lifted from their hearts. They were glad that no one had noticed them.

Exchanging glances, they realized their bodies were in desperate need of moisture, so they headed toward the drink stand.

"Excluding alcoholic drinks, what beverage do you serve?"

The bartender t Michael’s gaze.

"Ah, we actually received an unexpected shipnt of high-quality lemons."

"Is that so?" Michael chuckled. "Then make a lemonade."
