Pallas and the battered Silver-Armored Spiritual Monarch stiffened in terror as a figure erged from the shadows of the courtyard.
Their fear sharpened into awe the mont their eyes adjusted.
It was a girl.
No—sothing far beyond human beauty.
Long silver hair cascaded down her back like a river of starlight, flowing all the way to her ankles. Her dress fluttered faintly, its fringes revealing smooth, slender legs and jade-like feet untouched by dust. Her lashes curled delicately, framing a face so flawless she resembled a porcelain doll carved by the heavens.
But those eyes—those violet, crystalline eyes—blazed with fire, locking onto the path where Rose and Nux had vanished monts ago.
Her lips pressed into a thin line. Her small fists trembled as her chest rose and fell.
Her voice slipped out, sharp with venom.
"Dog man! I said—why did you rush out in such a hurry? So it was for her all along!"
The air crackled.
"He secretly raised a little lover behind my back?"
Felberta’s anger seared like molten steel in her veins.
She had never trusted Nux to roam freely, not with the dangers lurking in Spirita. That was why she had hidden in the shadows, following him, shielding him in secret, her presence cloaked.
And what had she seen for her devotion?
Not gratitude. Not fidelity.
But him—Nux—kissing another woman.
Her heart twisted. Her entire dragon’s pride felt trampled.
"Is it because I, Felberta, am not good-looking enough?" she hissed, her teeth gritting. "If he wanted a woman, why didn’t he just look at ?"
Her voice cracked with bitterness. "So it was for that girl?"
Her violet eyes shimred with unshed fury, her words dripping like poison. "This bastard is just too much!"
Her chest heaved. Her fists shook.
"He hasn’t even kissed yet..." Her voice broke, trembling with humiliation. "...but he kissed her first!"
The fury drowned her sha. Spirit energy exploded from her hands, weaving into a shimring, wide-bladed hatchet that glead with killing intent.
With a flicker, her body vanished.
The next instant, she appeared before the half-dead Silver-Armored Spiritual Monarch, weapon raised.
The man froze, horror cracking his voice. "Y-You... who are you? What do you want with !?"
Felberta’s tone was glacial. "Just now, you dared to insult him. I tolerated it only because I was watching quietly..." Her violet eyes narrowed, shimring with cold fire. "...but now, I’ve had enough."
"W-Wait, I—" The Spiritual Monarch’s plea strangled in his throat.
Her blade fell.
Silver armor shattered like brittle glass. Blood spurted into the air, splattering across the tiles. The man’s scream ended before it left his lips.
Compared to Rose’s restrained cruelty, Felberta was rciless—direct, efficient, absolute.
Her gaze slid next to Pallas.
The Platinum Bishop shrieked in terror, scrambling backward, his battered body gathering every shred of spiritual energy to flee. "No! Don’t co near !"
Felberta’s voice lashed like a whip. "You dared to plot against him. You think you’re worthy?"
She raised her hand. The hatchet whirled free, streaking through the air with a sonic boom that split the courtyard.
Pallas never finished his scream. His skull burst apart in a spray of red mist.
Silence.
The courtyard reeked of iron and fear.
Felberta exhaled slowly. The hatchet dissolved, then reford in her palm, humming with energy.
She glanced at it critically. "No... too small."
She waved her hand. "Shua!"
A larger machete appeared.
Her brows furrowed. "Still too small."
"Clang!"
Stone tiles split as a monstrous blade, ten ters long, materialized in her grip. It cracked the courtyard, scattering rubble as it embedded itself into the ground.
Her violet eyes glead with satisfaction. "Better."
Dragging the colossal weapon behind her, sparks screeched across the ground as she stalked toward the Queen’s chambers, leaving deep gashes etched into the stone.
Her voice carried a bitter, jealous tremor.
"Damn it... after all this ti, you never once said you wanted to kiss . But the mont you see her, you move so fast?"
"I’ll ask you myself, Nux—" her grip on the blade trembled, her lips quivering, "—is it because I, Felberta, am unfeminine? Or... is it that I can’t hold a knife anymore?"
The giant machete screeched against the ground.
But after only ten steps, she stopped. Her violet eyes wavered. Her crimson lips pressed tight.
With a sharp exhale, she let the weapon fall. It crashed with a thunderous clang, shattering tiles.
Her voice dropped, trembling between fury and sorrow. "Forget it... killing you now would only cheapen ."
Her body shimred with silver light, her form growing hazy.
"But rember this, dog man." Her voice lingered in the courtyard, heavy with warning and yearning. "Don’t forget your old love just because you’ve found a new one."
The silver light vanished. She was gone.
Only the faint echo of her dissatisfaction remained.

anwhile, within the Queen’s chambers—opulent, veiled in silks, thick with intoxicating fragrance—Nux sat carelessly on the edge of the grand bed. In his arms, the Soft Bones Charming Rabbit wriggled, pouting like a neglected pet.
Rose stood at the side, her cheeks flushed, her composure unraveling.
"That’s... that’s my bed," she whispered, her voice twitching, stripped of all the cold majesty of the Queen.
anwhile, within the Queen’s chambers—opulent, veiled in silks, thick with intoxicating fragrance—Nux sat carelessly on the edge of the grand bed. In his arms, the Soft Bones Charming Rabbit wriggled, pouting like a neglected pet.
Nux raised a brow, utterly unbothered. "I know."
Her lips parted, hesitant.
Not a single man had ever stepped into this chamber. To sit so casually upon her bed—her sanctuary—was unthinkable. If anyone in the Soulforge Citadel saw this, the entire empire would tremble.
But it was Nux.
And so, she swallowed her protest.
"...Are you thirsty?" Rose asked softly, her voice weak, grasping for composure.
"Co here," Nux beckoned with a smirk.
She blinked. "Huh?"
Her long, beautiful legs carried her forward before she even realized it.
In an instant, Nux’s arms wrapped around her, pulling her down onto his lap.
