Blood Seals Everything [Part-2]

Leon leaned back on the throne.

Slowly.

Like the weight of everything that had just happened... finally settled on his shoulders.

The contracts were done.

The room was bound.

And yet—

No one looked at peace.

The silence that followed wasn’t calm. It was heavy—thick enough to feel in the chest. No one moved at first. Even the air seed to hesitate.

Leon let his gaze move across them.

One by one.

Rias.

Aria.

Cynthia.

Syra.

Kyra.

Nova.

Sona.

Lira.

Mia.

Cassidy.

Tsubaki.

The maids.

Ronan.

Black.

Johny.

He didn’t rush it. He couldn’t. Each face told a different story, and he forced himself to read every single one.

Every face carried sothing different.

Frustration.

Concern.

Resignation.

Unspoken fear.

A small movent gave her away - Rias stiffened, folding her arms firmly across her chest. Her chin rose a fraction, as if bracing against an impulse to speak too freely.

This... she let out a breath, her red hair falling past one shoulder as she barely moved her head, ...this had strayed far from the plan, Leon

Quiet she spoke. Enough it was.

A silence ca first, though her gaze tightened - keen, assessing. Not until then did words follow. "Too quick your actions," she said, voice steady yet carrying a blade beneath. Everyone already tied, no chance to ask why

Cold silence hung around Cynthia, though her face stayed calm. Yet a small twitch in her grip gave her away. "Your Majesty," she began, then stopped short, weighing each sound before it left her mouth. "Walking forward here - there’s no coming back from what cos next."

Just a soft snort escaped Syra, light, nearly playful. "Could you ever just make it easy?" she said, looking off - then right back at him, gaze snapping into place.

Still silent, Kyra fixed her eyes on Leon - piercing, steady, probing what hid behind his words. She did not speak yet her stare pressed deeper, refusing to let go.

A shift in stance gave it away - the unease creeping through her fra. Things were different now... that much ca out in a low voice.

Sona opened her mouth, as if a thought needed air - only to seal it shut once more. That pause, heavy with what stayed unspoken, shouted louder than any sentence.

Frozen stare fixed on him, Lira stayed quiet, a touch of warmth where frost once lived - though rcy hadn’t arrived. Not just now.

A quiet settled over Mia, her eyes dropping as she gripped the edge of her sleeve. Silence held her voice - no reason to break it. Around her, tension hung thin, ready to crack at any sound too sharp.

Cassidy made a quiet sound with her tongue. This ti, you’ve gone and tangled us deep, she remarked, yet sothing steady lived beneath - like the mont had been expected all along.

Tall like a soldier, Tsubaki held her ground, though a small clench ran through her face. Her voice cut clear - compliance was expected. A breath passed before she added, almost under it - there would be fallout. Silence hung heavier than the words

Over there, the servants looked at each other fast. Silence between them. A mont of knowing passed without sound.

Still as stone, Ronan held his ground. His eyes stayed fixed on Leon, just like every ti before. Patience lived in his silence. Trust shaped his stance. Yet awareness sharpened his gaze.

Leaning into the wall, Black stood quiet, hands crossed tight over his chest. His face showed nothing at all. Over by the door, Johny scratched his neck slow, then let air slip through his teeth like he’d been holding it too long. A pause ca before he said anything - then just one word floated up: Man. Followed after by sothing softer, almost disbelief. You did it, didn’t you. Went straight through without looking back

A shadow crossed Leon’s face as he watched. Every mont stayed clear in his mind. Nothing slipped past him that day.

Each hesitation. All the things left unsaid, hanging between them.

For just an instant -

A soft breath left his lips without aning to.

A weight pulled at his shoulders, barely noticeable, as the crown seed heavier for one quiet mont. Not royal. Just worn.

It had to be that way. Nothing else worked.

A small shift in his posture, then stillness settled into place - no chill behind the look, no withdrawal either, just quiet certainty.

"...I know you don’t like it."

A sound ca from him once more, slicing through the quiet.

Low.

Calm.

Heavy silence filled the air. Not a shout, yet impossible to ignore. This stayed deep inside, pressing down without sound.

One moved a foot, just an inch. Tension climbed into their shoulders. Their fingers began to close, slow and quiet. A stillness followed.

A hush slipped from Rias, her gaze tightening slightly. Not fond of that? The words crept out low, yet loud enough to be caught. One version among others, at least, was how she chose to reply

Her eyes fell first, just briefly, then rose once more - uncertain, tangled inside. Mia stayed quiet, though her mouth tightened like it fought to keep sothing locked away.

"...But now that you’ve signed..."

A silence ca. He stood still, feeling how the room held its breath - those words now pressing down more than they had just seconds earlier.

"...listen carefully."

The shift was imdiate.

It was subtle—but undeniable.

The tension didn’t disappear. It hardened.

Emotion didn’t vanish—it got buried.

Duty took over.

Rias straightened first, her earlier resistance folding neatly behind a composed expression. Her arms crossed, but her posture sharpened. "Fine," she said, quieter now, but steady. "Then don’t waste our ti."

Tsubaki adjusted her stance beside her, chin lifting slightly, eyes focused. "We’re listening."

Mia inhaled softly, then nodded once, as if forcing herself into alignnt with the others.

They straightened.

Eyes sharpened.

Focus returned.

Leon leaned slightly forward.

Golden eyes steady.

For a brief mont, he said nothing—just looked at them.

Not as subordinates.

Not as tools.

But as people who had chosen to stand here anyway.

And then—

"When I leave this kingdom..."

A pause. Not the kind that ca from hesitation—but the kind that forced everyone else to hold their breath with him. His gaze didn’t waver, not even for a second. It moved across them, steady, unshaken.

"...no one must know I’m gone."

That—

That pulled everyone in.

The weight of it settled heavily in the room, like sothing unseen had just locked the doors from the inside.

"...Not the nobles."

"Not the servants."

"Not even the shadows watching from the walls."
