When Jiang Zi’er descended, the surrounding fierce beasts had already devoured most of the people in the air. The remaining few managed to escape this area, and those fierce beasts were pursuing them.
So, in this short mont, there were no fierce beasts left in the air, Jiang Zi’er was extrely lucky. Otherwise, had she fallen, she wouldn’t even have had the chance to cry out before being devoured by those beasts.
However, her shout imdiately caught the attention of several fierce beasts, who all looked up at Jiang Zi’er.
Su Yang’s face changed drastically, being targeted by these fierce beasts, how could that be?
Without a mont’s hesitation, Su Yang quickly soared into the sky, rushing toward Jiang Zi’er.
Avoiding the attacks of several fierce beasts along the way, Su Yang finally reached Jiang Zi’er in ti. But by then, dozens of fierce beasts had surrounded them completely.
Seeing Su Yang, Jiang Zi’er was overjoyed, grabbing Su Yang’s arm: "Su... Su Alliance Leader, you... are you alright? Thank goodness, you’re alright! You’re alright!"
Seeing the concern in Jiang Zi’er’s eyes, Su Yang also felt helpless and whispered, "Why... why did you co here?"
Jiang Zi’er’s eyes were slightly red as she whispered, "You... you lied to . You said you had a way to lure them down, but... but you jumped down yourself to lure them."
"How did you know?" Su Yang was astonished.
"When you told that plan, your eyes were flickering, and I... I guessed you were lying to . So, I just kept following you..." Jiang Zi’er whispered, "I... I saw you jump down, so... so I jumped down too..."
Su Yang looked at Jiang Zi’er, suddenly not knowing what to say. This girl was really courageous; knowing the jump could be fatal, she still followed. What could Su Yang say to her now?
"Roar."
A roar rang out beside them; the surrounding fierce beasts had already closed in. If it weren’t for the fact that too many were eyeing Su Yang, so of the beasts would’ve already pounced.
It was precisely because there were too many beasts eyeing Su Yang that these beasts were in a state of hostility with each other. Occasionally, they would let out a roar or display their claws and fangs, trying to scare away the others.
However, these beasts were not to be trifled with. Each one dominated an area and had been in the valley for countless years. They’ve fought each other many tis before, so how could they be scared off now? Thus, despite continually threatening each other, the number of beasts surrounding Su Yang not only didn’t decrease but increased, more and more coming.
Su Yang’s brows furrowed tightly, fully aware of the combat prowess of these beasts. Within them, Su Yang spotted so Divine Beasts once spoken of in Human World legends!
Those Divine Beasts were as strong as the Azure Dragon and Black Tortoise, and these fierce beasts being on par with them showed just how formidable their combat power was.
In other words, Su Yang and his companions were now completely surrounded by beasts comparable to the Azure Dragon and Black Tortoise. Was there even a chance to escape with Su Yang’s strength?
Jiang Zi’er finally noticed the situation around them and her expression changed too. She might not have known how terrifying the beasts’ combat power was, but she witnessed the Possessors being effortlessly devoured by them.
"Su Alliance Leader, you... you run first..." Jiang Zi’er trembled, saying, "I’ll hold them off for you!"
"What nonsense is that!" Su Yang retorted angrily, "How could I possibly leave you behind?"
Tears welled in Jiang Zi’er’s eyes, but Su Yang’s words brought joy to her heart. She gritted her teeth and suddenly leaped forward, aiming at one of the fierce beasts.
"Hey!" Su Yang exclaid in shock, pulling her back quickly.
However, Jiang Zi’er’s sudden action caused the surrounding fierce beasts to go wild. They thought the two were trying to escape and stopped threatening one another, all lunging toward Su Yang and Jiang Zi’er instead.
Su Yang’s face changed drastically, pulling Jiang Zi’er swiftly downwards, hoping to break through the beasts’ encirclent and dive into the lake below.
But Su Yang underestimated the beasts’ prowess. Just as they descended, a colossal python’s tail swept, directly landing on Su Yang, sending him flying back.
The protective light around Su Yang shattered, the strike dealing severe internal damage, forcing him to cough up several mouthfuls of blood.
This ti, Su Yang truly recognized the fearso combat capabilities of these beasts. Facing them head-on, Su Yang realized his current strength might not last even a minute.
Seeing blood, the beasts grew even crazier, howling as they charged at Su Yang.
Su Yang’s heart filled with panic; escaping now seed impossible, leaving him no choice but to fight valiantly against the beasts.
Clenching his jaw tightly, Su Yang suddenly roared, and behind him erged an illusion.
Devouring the World!
It had been a long ti since Su Yang used this move, but without a doubt, it remained his most powerful Secret Technique. In fact, according to the Heavenly Destiny Treasure Book, it was an invincible technique across three thousand worlds!
But this ti, the illusion looked different from before, greatly altered.
Previously, the illusion seed faint, like a weak projection hardly noticeable without close examination.
Now, however, the illusion appeared much clearer, like a shadow under the noon sun—though its exact form remained indistinct, it was extrely clear.
The illusion had grown hundreds of tis larger, transforming into a towering giant. Even amidst the surrounding beasts, there was no lack of awe.
Moreover, the critical difference was that Su Yang clearly saw an object in the illusion’s hand. Upon closer inspection, it seed like a long knife, though not very distinct, making it hard to discern.
Su Yang was astounded by the transformation of the illusion, enough to shock anyone. But who could have expected an unspeakable change, with a long knife appearing in its hand—what was happening?
In truth, Su Yang didn’t even know what the deal was with the illusion of Devouring the World. The Secret Technique didn’t provide much detail. It baffled Su Yang why the illusion changed and even gained a weapon?
