Shariel's longsword, though powerful, is still no match for magic artifacts like the Tai Chi Diagram.
If it was said that the masked man bestowed it upon him, it would make sense.
"Just because he gave you a longsword, you squat at the door and act like a dog for him?" Su Yang jeered coldly.
Shariel's face changed, and he yelled angrily, "What do you know? The master is inside undertaking important matters, we stay outside to protect him. When the master's plans succeed, no one in the Nine Realms will be a match for him. He might even beco the ruler of countless worlds. And we, as his most loyal subordinates, will beco ritorious figures under his command, understand?"
"I don't know if you can beco ritorious figures, but you sure have a lot of experience being lapdogs!" Su Yang said coldly, "After all, you were once lapdogs for the Feather Clan. Now, you're lapdogs for that masked man, just changed owners, no big deal. But as they say, a dog doesn't despise a poor ho, your loyalty as lapdogs isn't up to par. Do you think your current master cares about you?"
Shariel was infuriated and shouted in embarrassnt, "Su, you have quite the filthy mouth. If I let you die comfortably today, I won't be called Shariel!"
"You can change your na to Lapdog; it suits you!" Su Yang sneered.
"Ahhh!" Shariel roared, suddenly waving his hand, "Kill him for !"
As Shariel's voice fell, nearly a hundred people suddenly surged out of the surrounding void, encircling Su Yang and the others.
These people, Su Yang recognized; they were the Feather Clan descendants he had encountered at the Turquoise Pool. So had fallen from Kunlun Mountain with Shariel, while others had entered the Feather Spirit Palace from the front courtyard like the Three Eagles of Yanbei.
No matter which group, Shariel was obviously leading them now.
Su Yang was secretly alard; the positions where these people appeared weren't far from him. This ant they had been hiding nearby all along. Yet he hadn't sensed them at all, which was very strange.
In truth, Su Yang's current strength was definitely above any of these Feather Clan descendants. Still, these people had been hiding nearby without him noticing, there was definitely sothing wrong.
And Shariel, though previously stronger than Su Yang, was now akin to the defeated Yuan Fei San Zang; he likely couldn't withstand even three moves from Su Yang.
Yet he managed to ambush Su Yang successfully. Had Su Yang not suddenly beco alert, Shariel's sword might have pierced Su Yang's heart.
Although even then, Su Yang wouldn't die, yet he would be more severely injured, needing more ti to recover.
"I didn't expect so many of you to guard this entrance as lapdogs for that masked man!" Su Yang sighed, "That masked man entered the Feather Spirit Palace clearly to acquire what's inside. Yet you remain here like obedient dogs, not daring to enter? Tsk tsk, you have the nerve to say there's a close connection between the Feather Spirit Palace and the Feather Clan. Is this how Feather Clan descendants are, offering their things to others willingly?"
Su Yang's words caused a slight commotion on the scene.
Shariel's face subtly changed; he noticed so people were swayed by Su Yang's words.
He quickly stepped forward, and said coldly, "Su Yang, there's no need for you to sow discord here. Who said we're handing the Feather Clan's possessions to outsiders by serving the masked lord? Let tell you, the masked lord is also a mber of the Feather Clan!"
At this, the audience was shocked, everyone stared at Shariel in astonishnt, even Su Yang's eyes widened.
The masked man is actually a mber of the Feather Clan?
After pondering for a while, Su Yang entirely didn't believe it.
Firstly, the masked man of course lacked the aura of a Feather Clan mber. Secondly, Shariel was extrely cunning, he didn't believe Shariel's words at all.
"Shariel, is the masked lord really a Feather Clan mber?" an elder asked excitedly; he was a master who had entered the Feather Spirit Palace years ago, powerful and highly revered among them.
"Of course!" Shariel said sternly, "Otherwise, how could the masked lord have co this far, and even entered the palace to take the Feather Spirit Palace's legacy? This legacy belongs to our Feather Clan, only we can claim it; no one else is qualified to touch it!"
The scene boiled over; everyone was excited.
Truthfully, they didn't want the masked man to take the Feather Spirit Palace's legacy, but they lacked the power to stop it.
Now hearing the masked man was one of the Feather Clan, they felt no guilt. As long as he was of the Feather Clan, any victory belonged to them!
"Heh, keep deceiving them." Su Yang smirked, "Shariel, you can only fool these people. Is that masked man a mber of the Feather Clan? If he was, he would have revealed it long ago, why hide his identity? Plus, if he really was, why did he attack you before? Don't forget, when he sent us away, how many of you were killed!"
These words were like a bucket of cold water poured over the crowd's heads.
The people were initially rejoicing, but upon hearing this, they froze. Everyone looked at Shariel, questioning with their eyes whether Su Yang's words were true.
Shariel's face was grim, and he shouted angrily, "Su Yang, what do you know? If the masked lord hid his identity, he surely had his reasons. Killing a few people to keep it hidden is nothing! What he's doing is sothing to glorify the Feather Clan for generations. Sacrificing a few for the greater good is worth it!"
"Heh, you've said all this, yet you still can't prove he's a Feather Clan mber!" Su Yang chuckled coldly, "What's the point of arguing forcibly?"
Shariel's brows furrowed, and he suddenly shouted angrily, "We Feather Clan descendants don't need to explain our actions to you! Su, you have no right to question the masked lord's identity. You're an enemy of our clan, no matter what, killing you is never wrong!"
