Chapter 1699: Chapter 1900: Overestimating Oneself!!!
Hao Jian sat on the sofa with an indifferent expression, as if nothing could stir a ripple in his heart, then he looked at Brother Zhang with the sa indifference.
Brother Zhang, seeing Hao Jian’s deanor, felt very proud, assuming that Hao Jian was too scared to speak or show any expression, thinking that Hao Jian’s earlier words might have slipped out by accident, and then he was intimidated by Brother Zhang’s words, so scared that he couldn’t utter a single word now.
However, just as he was thinking this, Hao Jian suddenly stared at him and repeated, “Let him go!”
Upon hearing this, Brother Zhang laughed imdiately, “Who the hell do you think you are, damn it? Talking to you is already giving you face, and you still want to spoil my business, try to play hero? Get lost.”
At this mont, Wang Shuangshuang struggled to escape from his restraint, saying, “Let go, or you’ll face the consequences.”
Brother Zhang, naturally stronger than a woman like Wang Shuangshuang, restrained her effortlessly despite her attempts to struggle free, rely wasting her energy. So he held her with one hand and mocked Hao Jian with his expression and movents.
He sneered, “Haha… You poor bastard probably think you have the guts today. How dare you ddle in my affairs? I give you three seconds, I’ll count to three, if you pretend you didn’t see anything and leave, everything will be fine. But if you dare to stay, don’t bla for being ruthless, you might not get out of here today.”
Brother Zhang said with a cocky tone, in his eyes, Hao Jian was nothing more than a poor lad, usually lacking confidence and spirit, easily frightened into submission. After saying this, he was already convinced that Hao Jian would flee imdiately.
He kept laughing and looking at Hao Jian, then closed his eyes with a smile and began to count down.
“Three!”
“Two!”
“One…”
By the ti he counted to one, a confident smile spread across his face, he assud Hao Jian would be scared before he reached two and run for his life, so he slowly opened his eyes while counting one, believing Hao Jian would be gone.
However, upon opening his eyes, the scene before him made him look shocked.
Hao Jian hadn’t left; rather, he suddenly stood before him, and then unexpectedly threw a punch. Before Brother Zhang could react, it landed directly on his face.
A big fist ca crashing down, he couldn’t react in ti, “Bang!” Suddenly his vision blacked out, stars flashed before his eyes, and he couldn’t even tell where he was.
Then he felt warm fluid suddenly gush out of his nose, he reached up and felt sothing sticky, blinking and recovering, he saw he was bleeding from the nose.
At that instant, his anger surged to the extre, overtaking his mind. Damn it, just a poor lad, told him to leave yet he didn’t, and now struck him so hard he’s bleeding.
What the hell! If word got out, I wouldn’t be able to show my face, what a damn disgrace.
In a flash, he forgot all about Wang Shuangshuang, released her hand, and glared angrily at Hao Jian. Today, he was determined to teach this poor bastard a lesson, to show him the law, what it ans to ss with him, a regret he’ll carry for life.
He clenched his fist, wiping the blood from his nose, grabbed a wad of tissue to stop it, then seized a stool and charged at Hao Jian.
Raising the stool high, he fiercely swung it at Hao Jian. Hao Jian smiled, moved slightly, and dodged it. Missing a strike despite his wrath, watching Hao Jian evade made him even angrier.
He raised the stool again, swung it at Hao Jian, this ti targeting Hao Jian’s head, his rage overcoming everything, consud by anger.
Yet, as the stool was swung, still in mid-air, it suddenly stopped, hanging motionless, no amount of force could drive it downward further.
At this mont, he looked closely and saw Hao Jian had caught the stool with just one hand, veins bulging on his face, yet Hao Jian seemingly unbothered, held the stool easily, preventing it from moving an inch further down.
An expression of surprise appeared on his face. This chair suddenly flying toward him was sothing he wasn’t confident he could easily catch, and even if he did, his hand would likely be seriously injured. However, Hao Jian caught it in one swift motion, leaving him completely helpless, unable to muster any strength.
This… it took him by surprise for a mont, completely unprepared for Hao Jian possessing such skill. But these thoughts only flickered through his mind briefly. His fury had already consud him, leaving no space to consider these things.
Seeing the chair caught by Hao Jian and unable to move, he let it go quickly and instead aid a kick at Hao Jian. This kick, if landed on any adult man, could easily send him flying.
Brother Zhang’s face was alight with extre arrogance and confidence as he threw a sidekick, but suddenly, his expression twitched and then contorted.
Before his foot could reach Hao Jian, Hao Jian swung the chair at him, striking his leg with its iron edge. Instantly, a wave of intense pain surged up from the bone in his thigh. At that mont, he felt as if his entire leg was ruined, followed by the sound of a bone cracking. He fell back with a “thud,” landing hard on the ground.
“Ah!” He scread miserably, clutching his thigh, looking at Hao Jian, a flash of fear and terror crossing his eyes.
At this mont, Hao Jian set the chair down, arranged it, and looked at him with a slight smile, saying nothing.
Brother Zhang looked at his leg, then at Hao Jian, his eyes filled with rage. Initially, he thought to teach Hao Jian a lesson, but he hadn’t expected Hao Jian to injure his leg with a chair. He wanted nothing more than to beat Hao Jian up right now.
He shifted his thigh, finding he could still move, so he painfully stood up, glaring at Hao Jian, shouting angrily, “Alright, you punk, if you have the guts, don’t leave, you’ll regret it.”
He had suffered at Hao Jian’s hands just now. As the saying goes, once bitten, twice shy. Although he looked down on Hao Jian as a poor boy, he could still see that Hao Jian had so skill. He wasn’t Hao Jian’s match, so he didn’t plan on confronting him head-on.
However, a mighty dragon can’t overpower a local snake, and you, damn you, are just a poor boy. No matter your skills, how capable can you be? This is my territory, and I call the shots here. You’ve offended , so just wait for your doom.
Thinking this, he stood up, looking at Hao Jian with confidence, slowly taking his phone out of his pocket, getting ready to call reinforcents. Once they arrived, they’d show Hao Jian the consequences of crossing him.
As he pondered, he had already opened his contacts, finding the number, just about to dial. But as his finger pressed down, suddenly he felt his hand being grabbed. He looked up and saw it was Hao Jian holding his hand.
At that mont, he wanted to shake off Hao Jian and continue dialing, but Hao Jian held his hand with ease. He struggled, using all his strength, but his hand couldn’t move an inch.
The dial button was plainly in front of him, just needing a push to complete the call. But even though it was only about a centiter away, his hand was incapacitated by Hao Jian’s grip, unable to move even a milliter.
He looked up at Hao Jian, his face already strained with bulging veins, but Hao Jian seed indifferent, his expression calm, showing no sign of strain. Yet in this scenario, his hand couldn’t move at all due to Hao Jian’s grip.
The two of them were in a standoff, his face drenched in sweat, but Hao Jian remained calm. At this point, it was impossible to shake off Hao Jian’s hand because using all his strength was utterly futile.
Right now, looking at Hao Jian, fear finally surfaced on his face.
What kind of person is this, damn it, with such strength, he thought, looking at Hao Jian, unable to help but marvel internally.
But Hao Jian looked at him, smiling, and that little smile froze him in place. The smile, to others, seed ordinary and approachable, but in his eyes, it was extraordinarily terrifying.
At this mont, he genuinely felt a little scared of Hao Jian.
Smiling, Hao Jian suddenly let go, the imnse force that was pulling against him abruptly vanishing. His hand, which had been resisting that force, jerked uncontrollably backward.
“Bang!” His hand flew back, uncontrollably landing a punch on his own face. In that instant, he was utterly stunned.
Soon after, a large fist mark appeared on his face, a mark made from punching himself.
