Capítulo 1762: Chapter 1963: News of Ye Xiao!!!

So, the Moon, who had been watching nearby for a long ti, observed Hao Jian’s every move. Naturally, she saw the ambiguous relationship between Hao Jian and Shu Ya, noticed them sleeping and eating together, and then saw Liang Yuwei coming to find him, even shopping and dining with him.

At this sight, her temper flared up, but she forcibly restrained her nature and didn’t have an outburst. Otherwise, she would have grabbed Hao Jian and given him a good beating.

Just monts ago, she hadn’t realized this issue. The instant she saw Hao Jian, her emotions overwheld her, and she rushed to hug him. Now, as she cald down, she imdiately rembered this matter.

Hao Jian wasn’t a fool; the Moon’s words were clear enough. As soon as he heard them, he understood and his face turned slightly grim. It felt like his inner self had been spied upon.

“This, this…” Hao Jian hesitated, unsure of what to say. He knew Moon’s temperant and feared that saying sothing might provoke her, so silence was the best option.

But the Moon knew what kind of excuses Hao Jian was thinking of, and didn’t give him the chance to speak. She cut him off, saying, “Hmph! You think I don’t know the sches you’re plotting in your head? There’s no point in trying to explain because it’s futile.”

Surely, after spending so much ti with Hao Jian, if she didn’t know what kind of person he was, then what was the point of being with him all this ti? So Moon’s words were justified.

Upon hearing this, Hao Jian showed a slightly helpless expression. Everything he wanted to say or do had been anticipated by the Moon, leaving him feeling sowhat stifled. However, he suddenly paused, then looked at Moon with delight.

Moon had previously lost her mory, forgetting who he was. If he hadn’t done those things, she might never have believed him. But now, as Moon spoke these words, wasn’t it evident that her mory had returned? How else would she ntion knowing his cunning ways? Those were things Moon often said to him before.

At that mont, he couldn’t hide his joy, gazing at Moon excitedly and grabbing her hand in exhilaration. Yet, Moon looked at him perplexedly, finding his expression inexplicable, not understanding what had happened to Hao Jian.

Hao Jian laughed and asked, “Has your mory returned?”

The Moon suddenly understood and replied, “I’ve only recovered a little, rembered so things. There’s still a lot that’s blank.”

Upon hearing this, Hao Jian beca even more delighted, his excitent was unmistakable. He was truly overjoyed—it was unexpected to receive such delightful news today. Even though the Moon had only regained part of her mory, she rembered who he was and even understood his nature well enough, which was more than enough.

Compared to before, during the Ancient Martial Artist competition, when Moon didn’t rember him at all, and forgot everything about him—she even attacked him—he felt dejected. Getting this news now made him incredibly happy.

Then, holding Moon’s hand tightly and not letting go, wearing a look of happiness, Moon was initially a bit angry with him. But seeing him like this, her anger dissipated imdiately.

Her hand was hurting from Hao Jian’s grip, so she shook it free and said, “Oh dear, you’re holding too tight; you’re hurting my hand.”

Only then did Hao Jian realize, quickly retracting his hand. He was too happy and a bit carried away with himself, forgetting he was holding Moon’s hand out of excitent.

At this point, no words could fully express his feelings, so he took Moon by the hand, invited her to sit down so they could talk without standing, which was tiring, and independently grabbed two cans of milk from the fridge, drank one himself, and handed another to Moon.

Moon took a sip. During this ti, Hao Jian sat beside Moon; previously, in his excitent, he had forgotten to ask so things, but after quickly finishing a can of milk, he cald down considerably, and his emotions settled.

Now sitting down, he looked at Moon and asked, “Didn’t you say you wanted to spend so ti alone in peace to regain your mory? How did you recover it then? And since you’re in Hua City, why didn’t you notify in advance?”

The Moon, hearing Hao Jian’s string of questions, was montarily unsure of where to begin, looking at him with bewildernt. Hao Jian realized he had asked too many questions at once and said, “One by one, take your ti.”

Moon nodded, then began organizing her thoughts to recount them to Hao Jian.

As Moon spoke, it went on for about half an hour, detailed and thorough, with Hao Jian listening intently, neither interrupting nor speaking a word, allowing Moon to narrate.

Half an hour passed before Moon finished, taking a sip of water while Hao Jian pondered over what Moon had just told him, systematically compiling it.

Moon had no specific rationale for how she rembered. She simply woke up one day with many things flooding into her mind, yet unsure of what they were. Gradually, without knowing why, after waking up one morning, she recalled many things.

She couldn’t explain clearly how she recovered. Each ti she woke up, she rembered more. As for why she went to Hua City, it was because after regaining her mory, she recalled a lot and wanted to trace back to the place she first lost her mory for any clues.

She discovered so puzzling things, and the more she thought it over, the more perplexing it beca. She later encountered Ye Xiao, and following Ye Xiao, they ended up in Hua City. After arriving, Ye Xiao mysteriously disappeared, and recalling that Hao Jian was in Hua City, she exerted a little effort to find him here.

As Hao Jian listened, he silently distilled and summarized these thoughts into a coherent whole. When he heard Moon ntion that Ye Xiao ca to Hua City, his expression turned decidedly serious.

Pausing for a mont, he looked at Moon seriously and asked, “You say Ye Xiao also ca to Hua City? Where did he disappear?”

Moon nodded affirmatively and specified the last ti and place she saw Ye Xiao. Hao Jian matched this up and perfectly aligned it with Mrs. Zhu’s incident.

Ye Xiao arrived in Hua City not long after trouble ca to Boss Zhu, and following his eting with Mrs. Zhu, she too was murdered. The way Mrs. Zhu was killed had puzzled him; such a thod wasn’t sothing an ordinary person could accomplish—only soone extraordinary could.

He had been baffled about who killed Mrs. Zhu, unable to find the answer despite pondering it. But with all these pieces laid out and fitting together, it felt like a sudden realization flooded in.

It was as if everything had beco clear and the facts revealed themselves. Although he couldn’t fully confirm this hypothesis and conjecture, the evidence strongly suggested it all connected to Ye Xiao—it was likely related to him.

Moreover, previously, Hao Jian couldn’t understand the nagging feeling that everything seed aid at him. He had been puzzled, but now, it was clearer. This whole matter was distinctly targeting him.

Now, his mind began to formulate his own ideas and strategies. He hadn’t gone to confront Ye Xiao yet, but Ye Xiao had co seeking trouble with him, which made his mood unpleasant. Being soone who holds grudges, he decided to temporarily set this aside, handle it quietly for the ti being, and revisit the matter for a reckoning later.

At this mont, he looked at Moon and felt a sudden surge of pity towards her. She had endured pain that few others had; others might not understand, but he did, and that’s why he felt hurt for her.

The Moon, startled by Hao Jian’s sudden gaze, felt sowhat uncomfortable. Then, the two of them continued to speak extensively, but Hao Jian didn’t tell Moon the complete truth because he didn’t want her getting involved.

He thought that he would exact revenge on her behalf, and her role in this should be only to rest well, keeping her unaware of these things.

Later, Hao Jian initially offered Moon a room upstairs to stay in, but Moon outright refused, saying she wouldn’t stay, seemingly angry at Hao Jian. Yet, he was used to such monts—Moon often got mad at him, but a girl needs only gentle coaxing, not taking it too seriously.

Initially hoping to say sothing more, Moon was firm on ending the topic and, when Hao Jian turned to fetch so things, by the ti he turned back around, Moon had already vanished.

Looking at the table, he saw a note left by Moon.

“I’ve left. I’ll be staying in Hua City for now, but I might not co to find you. Maybe after everything is resolved, I’ll seek you out. For now, I want to be alone. —Moon.”

As Hao Jian gazed at the elegant handwriting on the note, he was filled with thoughts of Moon’s charming figure, and a flood of emotions surged through him.

Looking at where Moon had disappeared, he felt a lancholic longing and found himself lost in thought, reminiscing over past events.
