So when they heard Li Weiwei say that, they all burst out laughing right away. As for Zheng Jun, it was obvious he was just a high school kid full of passion who couldn’t read the situation; otherwise he wouldn’t have rushed straight in and dragged soone out to protect them when he saw there were so many people on the other side.

That alone showed his hot-blooded nature and how angry he got when he saw injustice. He was clearly a pissed-off idealist. So when he saw this group of punks mocking Li Weiwei, he just couldn’t hold it in. He pointed at the gangsters and snapped, "You laughing at my teacher?"

Just now Li Weiwei had shielded them like that and was standing up for their rights, so when they saw her being mocked by this bunch, of course they couldn’t help saying this.

When those gangsters heard Zheng Jun actually dare to talk to them like that, they all instantly flared up, each one rolling up his sleeves looking ready to swing. Li Weiwei quickly blocked Zheng Jun and the others, stopping them from throwing punches at this group. After all, she knew that if it really ca to blows, they’d definitely co out on the losing end.

"Say that again, you little shit." One of the gangsters pointed at Zheng Jun.

Normally, in a situation like this, Zheng Jun definitely wouldn’t be able to hold back and would shoot right back, but this ti Li Weiwei stretched out an arm to stop him, and she clearly wanted them to calm down. So they swallowed it and backed off.

The gangster who’d spoken saw Zheng Jun actually retreat and imdiately laughed. "I thought you were sothing special, turns out you’re just a little coward hiding behind a woman, hahaha..."

As he spoke, they all roared with laughter, cackling loudly. Zheng Jun was about to fire back, but Li Weiwei held him back. He forced himself to endure it and in the end didn’t say anything.

And just then, one of the gangsters stepped out and confronted Li Weiwei, saying, "You want an explanation from us? You’re their teacher, right? Then today they beat up my boys for no reason, and beat them so badly they’re all seriously injured. How do you say we should handle this?"

The one talking was the boss of the gangsters, the guy with the stud in his ear, looking arrogant as hell when he spoke.

Li Weiwei wasn’t blind; she could see perfectly well. What do you an your guys are seriously injured? Three or four students fighting a whole group of local thugs—who do you think would win? And clearly nothing was wrong with them. They didn’t even have a scratch on them. Aside from a few footprints on so of the gangsters’ clothes, the rest of them didn’t have a single mark. anwhile, Zheng Jun and the others were covered in wounds, blood all over them.

One look and you knew who had beaten whom, yet they still said that kind of crap. They were obviously trying to pull the usual shaless routine and squeeze so money out of it. Normally at a ti like this, they’d start demanding "dical expenses" and "herbal dicine money" and whatever.

And her, was she going to pay? Could she possibly pay? Today they’d beaten up her students and even tried to take liberties with several girl students, so there was no way she was going to let them have their way. This ti, they had to apologize and promise that they’d never do this again. Otherwise, knowing these guys’ character, once they latched on this ti, there would definitely be a next ti, and after a next ti there would absolutely be a next-next ti.

On this matter, her attitude was extrely firm.

She replied, "How to handle it? Shouldn’t you first be apologizing to these girl students, and then apologizing to my students? How is it you’re the one asking how to handle it? Don’t you know in your own heart what you deserve?"

Li Weiwei’s tone was very sharp. First, because of her role in this mont—as the horoom teacher she had to take the lead and absolutely could not lose the upper hand. Second, because she was honestly furious. This was the first ti since she’d beco a horoom teacher that she’d run into sothing like this, so she had to handle it properly.

The gangsters’ boss, the guy with the earring, heard Li Weiwei’s response and instantly got mad. He looked her over and said, "You look pretty decent, so how co you talk so tough? Aren’t you afraid sothing might ’happen’ to you one night when you’re walking ho alone?"

That line from the earring guy was nothing but pure threat. He was threatening Li Weiwei, trying to scare her, make her back down, or else they’d co after her.

But when Li Weiwei heard that, she only got angrier. "You dare?" she said.

The earring guy chuckled. "Why wouldn’t we dare? My boys here aren’t exactly soft. When it cos to getting things done, they’re very hardworking. And you, walking ho alone at night—if sothing ’accidental’ happens, who can say for sure, right? So before you go out, you’d better check the almanac and pick a good day."

The words were so obvious that Zheng Jun and the other students all understood perfectly, so they all looked furious. But right now, they only dared to be angry, not speak up—only Zheng Jun stepped forward and said to the earring guy, "Scum like you on the streets, one day heaven will punish you."

The earring guy laughed and said, "Yeah, we’re scum on the streets, and heaven will punish us? Has heaven punished us yet? But you, you beat up my guys and you can’t even pay a bit of dical money? If you can’t pay, then you shouldn’t have thrown a punch. Don’t act all high and mighty. Let tell you, the people I despise most are people like you. What do you know? In this society, if you’ve got fists, then you’ve got the right to speak."

"And right now, I’ve got fists in my hands, and my fists are the biggest. That ans whatever I say, you have to listen!" As he spoke, the earring guy suddenly raised his voice and clenched his fist, looking completely full of himself.

Listening to him, Li Weiwei instantly didn’t feel like saying another word to the earring guy. She really couldn’t understand what the hell these street gangsters are thinking nowadays—the way they talk is pure thug logic. Maybe it’s because they’re not well educated, so their mindset is forever stuck at so primitive level. Otherwise they wouldn’t have ended up as street punks in the first place.

And at this mont, the earring guy suddenly got a lot more arrogant and said, "This isn’t over. These people laid hands on my guys. I’ve got no beef with them, but if they don’t cough up sothing good today to show my brothers, then my guys sure as hell aren’t vegetarians."

As he spoke, the whole group rolled up their sleeves, clearly about to start sothing. Li Weiwei instinctively stepped in front of them to shield the others, then took a step back. If it really turned into another fight, that would go completely against her original intention. Since she’d co here, of course what she wanted was to settle this peacefully.

However, at this ti, these Gangsters already looked like they were about to throw down, then started walking over. The way they moved made it obvious they were heading straight for Zheng Jun and the others—they were going to go after Zheng Jun’s group. This was straight-up intimidation.

Seeing this, Li Weiwei’s fine brows knit together. As soon as she’d gotten the news just now, she’d rushed over in a panic and had even forgotten to bring her phone. Otherwise she could’ve called the school security office by now. These punks roam the streets all day doing nothing; if it really cos down to a fight, with how they usually act like they fear neither heaven nor earth, they really might throw down.

And when that happens, the consequences will be serious.

Right then, with just a look from the earring guy, his n slowly started closing in on Li Weiwei and the others, clearly ready to make a move.

Li Weiwei raised her voice and shouted, "What do you think you’re doing!"

The earring guy grinned and said, "I’m too lazy to bullshit with you. Anyone who dares hit my n, I’ll make damn sure he understands what happens when you throw the first punch!"

As he spoke, the group had already forced their way closer, and Li Weiwei blocked them, saying, "You dare?"

The earring guy laughed. "Why the hell wouldn’t we dare? Brothers, do it!"

Right after that, the guy standing at the front reached out, trying to shove Li Weiwei aside. But when he pushed, his hand went straight for Li Weiwei’s chest. No need to think about it—he’d clearly been dazzled by her looks and wanted to cop a feel and take advantage of her while he could.

When he reached out, there was a lewd grin on his face. Seeing that, Li Weiwei’s face instantly turned livid.

But just as his hand was about to land on Li Weiwei’s body, suddenly his face twisted with pain, and he let out a miserable scream.

"Ah! It hurts! It hurts! It hurts!" the guy cried out in agony.

In an instant, everyone’s eyes snapped over to this side. No one knew when, but soone had suddenly rushed over, grabbed the hand that was supposed to push Li Weiwei but clearly had bad intentions, and with a sharp twist, there ca the sound of bones cracking. The guy was in so much pain he could barely stand it.

The one who’d shown up and made the move was Hao Jian.

He’d been watching from the side the whole ti without stepping in, wanting to see how Li Weiwei would handle this. Up to this point, he’d actually planned to just stand by and keep watching, but he hadn’t expected Li Weiwei’s temper to be this fiery, to the point that she’d provoked the Gangsters into actually making a move.

So he could only shake his head helplessly, and when that gangster tried to lay a hand on her, he rushed over and took the guy down in an instant.

"It hurts! It hurts! It hurts... Let go!" the guy scread in pain.

Hao Jian just laughed and said, "Let go? Give a reason. If it’s good enough, maybe I will."

As Hao Jian spoke, he wore a harmless, almost innocent smile.

Li Weiwei clearly hadn’t expected Hao Jian to suddenly appear at a mont like this.
