Hao Jian cocked his head at the Big Brown Bear and said with a grin, "How would you prefer to lie down?"
"You're looking for death!" The Big Brown Bear instantly flew into a rage, his fist as large as a bowl, striking directly at Hao Jian's face.
However, Hao Jian remained unflinching, just staring directly as the fist drew closer and closer.
"Smack!"
Just at that mont, Hao Jian suddenly reached out and grabbed the Big Brown Bear's fist, that seemingly ferocious punch was now caught single-handedly by Hao Jian.
Seeing how easily Hao Jian had blocked the Big Brown Bear's punch, not only was the Big Brown Bear taken aback, but so was the soldier who had followed him in.
"Is that all you've got?" Hao Jian contemptuously said to the Big Brown Bear and then punched him in the abdon. With a grunt, the Big Brown Bear expelled what he had eaten earlier in a ss.
"You!" The Big Brown Bear was enraged again and swung another punch.
But this ti Hao Jian ducked, and the Big Brown Bear's fist swept over his head.
Taking advantage, Hao Jian grabbed his throat and slamd him against the iron cage behind them with a dull thud.
The Big Brown Bear saw stars, and montarily, he couldn't tell east from west.
"Don't underestimate the Huaxia people, big guy. Huaxia is a vast country with over a billion people, many of whom are stronger than you," Hao Jian sneered and then unleashed a flurry of punches and kicks on the Big Brown Bear without any rcy.
"Stop hitting , please, stop hitting ," the Big Brown Bear soon pleaded, his face swollen, waving his hands at Hao Jian in complete fear, losing all his spirit as he begged for rcy.
Hao Jian, however, sneered incessantly, "Weren't you acting all tough just now? How co you're cowering all of a sudden?"
"Big brother, Huaxia people are the best, please stop hitting ," the Big Brown Bear howled, looking utterly deflated.
"Swoosh!"
Just then, a cold gleam suddenly shot forth, slicing at the Big Brown Bear's neck, then blood spurted as his body slumped to the ground.
Seeing this, Hao Jian was also taken aback, then glanced towards a young man in a nearby cage. The young man was draped in an odd poncho and hat, his face pallid as paper, fingers dry as tree bark, giving him a frightening appearance.
It was he who had just slain the Big Brown Bear.
At that mont, he glanced down at the Big Brown Bear's corpse and said indifferently, "You were too noisy!"
Hao Jian looked down, astounded to find the man had used a piece of his robe to kill him.
This guy must be a master!
"Who is this guy?" Hao Jian couldn't help but ask the soldier standing beside him.
"I… I don't know. Master Long captured him," the soldier answered truthfully, clearly referring to Moon Goddess Jiang.
Hao Jian walked over to Moon Goddess Jiang and before he could ask, she began to explain the man's background: "His na is Pharmacist, a pervert. When we found him, he was using a person as a test subject, torturing him until his body was battered and bruised."
"How did he torture him?" Hao Jian asked, curious.
"Have you ever seen a man covered in pus-filled blisters?" Moon Goddess Jiang asked Hao Jian.
Hao Jian was shocked and said, "That intense, huh?"
Moon Goddess Jiang gave Hao Jian a huge eye roll, prompting him to quickly correct himself, "That man is truly pitiable."
"Why are you keeping him here? He should be executed," Hao Jian wondered, aware of the danger of keeping such an individual.
"What do you know? He might be a pervert, but he's a genius at concocting dicine. His research is beneficial to society. I plan to persuade him to join Dragon Tooth and serve the society," Moon Goddess Jiang said.
"But it seems like the progress isn't going smoothly," Hao Jian chuckled.
Moon Goddess Jiang huffed in displeasure, "This guy is stubborn, refusing to accept my proposal. If that's the case, I'll just keep him locked up forever in this cell and see who's more patient!"
Moon Goddess Jiang was determined to keep Pharmacist locked up for life until he agreed to join Dragon Tooth.
Hearing this, Pharmacist twitched his lips, his facial expression incredibly ugly, evidently detesting this woman imnsely.
"What else can I do? I can't just let him harm others, can I?" Moon Goddess Jiang defended indignantly. If she left Pharmacist unattended, who knew who he might use as a test subject next?
If Pharmacist refused to join Dragon Tooth, he would remain a threat, but killing him seed too wasteful to Moon Goddess Jiang. After all, talents were hard to find, so she felt she had no choice but to keep him imprisoned.
Unless Pharmacist agreed to join Dragon Tooth, he would not be allowed out.
This dungeon, known as Black Iron Mountain, was specifically used to imprison particularly troubleso criminals, much like Moon Goddess Jiang herself.
"Damn, are you really planning to keep him locked up for life? Isn't that a bit too much?" Hao Jian couldn't help but say.
"Otherwise, should we let him out to wreak havoc?" Moon Goddess Jiang said with a roll of her eyes. It wasn't that she didn't want to release the Pharmacist, but that he was simply too dangerous.
"How about this, if I can subdue him, will you let him go?" Hao Jian asked, actually considering taking the Pharmacist under his wing.
"You subdue him? Why would you want to subdue him?" Moon Goddess Jiang couldn't help frowning, unsure what Hao Jian was really planning.
"Because I lack an Inquisitor, and a Poison Master skilled in potions would also be quite useful to ," Hao Jian said with a smile. Poison, no matter the ti or place, was always sothing to be revered.
Hao Jian thought to himself that if he had such a Poison Master, then in the future, he would essentially have a secret weapon, making it much more convenient to kill people, wouldn't it?
"But can you ensure he won't harm society?" Moon Goddess Jiang asked. If Hao Jian couldn't guarantee that, then they couldn't let the Pharmacist go and endanger society.
"A woman cheats because she's hungry; if you feed her well, won't she stop cheating?" Hao Jian said with a sly smile, clearly believing that the Pharmacist's killing was rely due to his desire to use human bodies for experints. But what if he could provide the Pharmacist with test subjects? After all, he had so many enemies he couldn't finish killing them all. What the Pharmacist needed was exactly what he could provide.
"That analogy is quite vivid indeed," Moon Goddess Jiang sneered coldly.
"So, do you agree?" Hao Jian smiled and asked, noticing that Moon Goddess Jiang was relenting.
"If you can assure he won't endanger society, I have no objections," Moon Goddess Jiang said generously, knowing that keeping the Pharmacist locked up here wasn't a solution forever. It might be better to just let him go.
So, Hao Jian walked out enthusiastically towards the Pharmacist's cell and said to the soldier guarding the door, "Open the door, please."
The soldier didn't dare delay and hurriedly unlocked the cell door.
As soon as Hao Jian walked into the cell, a whirlwind stirred at his feet and the Pharmacist, who had been sitting cross-legged in front of him, suddenly leaped up, extending his withered branch-like hand straight towards Hao Jian's throat.
