Chapter 938: Chapter 937: They Don’t Dare to Look for

“Young Master Yang, we’ve arrived!”

After disembarking from the plane, Bai Yang quickly made his way to the location where Hao Jian was. Looking at the towering building in front of him, Xu Ru, the Baisha Gang’s leader, hurriedly jumped out of the vehicle, opened the car door for Bai Yang, and pointed at the skyscraper with a sycophantic nod.

“Hmph! Charge inside!”

As soon as Bai Yang stepped out of the car, he let out a cold snort and waved his large hand. Xu Ru imdiately led his group of n, ard with weapons, storming into the building’s interior.

Once they entered the building, however, they were dumbfounded. They had seen sothing they should never have seen…

“This… This…”

Xu Ru’s face turned pale in an instant as he looked at the scene before him. It’s over, completely over! This ti, they’re dood!

“Why are none of you moving?! Why are you piling up at the entrance?! Are you waiting for them to surround you?!”

Seeing Xu Ru and the others standing numbly in the lobby after entering the building, Bai Yang, who was following behind them, was visibly furious. He barked in a low voice and pushed aside the subordinate blocking his way as he slowly walked inside.

“Young Master Yang…”

Xu Ru looked at Bai Yang with a bitter expression, unable to answer Bai Yang’s question. Instead, he extended his hand and pointed forward. There, a silhouette was hanging in midair…

But what shocked them was not the suspended figure itself, but its true identity. The person was Bai Herong—shot in the head by Spice Ginger, then hung from the ceiling with a rope afterward!

Dead Bai Herong’s eyes were wide open, his lips pale, his face frozen in terror from his final monts. Seeing Bai Herong’s tragic state, Bai Yang’s expression imdiately shifted, and he roared furiously, “Hao Jian! Get out here! You… You dared to break our agreent!”

This is a disaster! That guy Bai Jingze is definitely going to stir things up now! Bai Yang’s face darkened like water, anxiety clawing at his heart. He might belittle Bai Herong, but he would never dare to underestimate Bai Jingze. This man was capable of standing shoulder to shoulder with Bai Yang’s father, an equal force within the Bai Family.

From Bai Yang’s father alone, one could deduce Bai Jingze’s power. Now, Bai Jingze’s beloved son was lying dead before him. Once this news reached the Bai Family, Bai Yang could already foresee the chaos that would ensue.

But at this mont, no one replied to Bai Yang’s outburst. The entire building was eerily silent. Apart from the noises from Bai Yang’s n, not a single sound could be heard. The building’s occupants had long evacuated…

Bai Yang also noticed this. His expression shifted slightly. This was undoubtedly Hao Jian’s sche! If not, how could he have abandoned this base upon Bai Yang’s arrival, leaving only Bai Herong’s corpse here?!

Thinking about the difficulties awaiting him upon his return to the Bai Family, Bai Yang realized that perhaps Hao Jian had already anticipated all of it—or perhaps everything was following Hao Jian’s carefully laid plan.

Terrifying! Absolutely terrifying! How could this man predict that I would appear here at this exact mont?!

For reasons he couldn’t explain, once Bai Yang understood, an icy chill began spreading from the soles of his feet, rushing upward, and finally engulfing his entire body.

No wonder that guy was so kind-hearted as to let everyone else leave. It’s all a part of his ploy to set this trap! But now, what should he do? With Hao Jian out of sight and none of his associates visible either, Bai Yang couldn’t even find soone to confront. There was no way forward.

After all, this was Hua City—Hao Jian’s territory. Bai Yang’s influence from the Capital City was rendered useless in this domain…

Could he really leave and return to the Capital City just like this? If Bai Jingze found out what happened, the Bai Family would undoubtedly find itself in peril!

“Young Master Yang, what… what should we do?!”

Seeing Bai Yang suddenly fall silent, Xu Ru’s face filled with anxiety. Being a subordinate to the Bai Family, he knew that if the Bai Family fell, so would he. There were no exceptions.

He wasn’t a fool. The mont he saw Bai Herong’s corpse, he understood—this was no ordinary problem they were facing, but a crisis that would impact the Bai Family’s future!

Being a long-ti mber of a gang in the Capital City, Xu Ru was well-versed in the various entanglents of interests among the powers there. Especially since he served the Bai Family.

“Let’s head back!”

At this point, returning to the Capital City was their only option. Though taking such a loss was humiliating, Bai Yang had no choice but to swallow it. Hua City was Hao Jian’s domain; dealing with him here would be next to impossible!

He needed to return to the Bai Family imdiately, relay everything that happened to his father, and strategize from there. If his father still desired to maintain the role of Family Head, there might still be room for maneuvering!

“Young Master Hao, Bai Yang and his group have boarded the plane and are heading back!”

In another temporary base, Hao Jian was seated in a chair, sipping coffee, quietly awaiting the news. Shortly after, Spice Ginger burst through the door.

“Haha! Wonderful!”

Upon hearing the news, Hao Jian let out a hearty laugh. He waved his hand and instructed Spice Ginger, “Spread the word discreetly to Bai Jingze. This ti, I want to see the Bai Family collapse!”

“Understood!”

Spice Ginger responded affirmatively, turned toward the door, and gestured to a subordinate waiting outside. After whispering a few instructions, the subordinate nodded quickly and went off to execute them.

As the subordinate departed, Spice Ginger turned to Hao Jian and asked hesitantly, “Young Master Hao, was our decision to kill Bai Herong this ti a bit too abrupt?”

“Not at all!”

Hao Jian shook his head decisively. “This is exactly the result I wanted. If Bai Yang hadn’t brought people here, I would’ve forced him to. Only by provoking him could we showcase his unwillingness to pay up. As for right or wrong, that’s none of our concern; it’s Bai Jingze’s problem to deal with!”

“You’re aware of Bai Jingze’s standing within the Bai Family. As long as he and Bai Yang fall out with each other, the Bai Family will collapse without us needing to lift a finger. After all, Bai Jingze wouldn’t dare confront directly!”

Hao Jian sneered coldly. “Since he wouldn’t dare co for , and without any outlet for his fury, plus the influence of his wife, all that resentnt will undoubtedly be directed at Bai Yang. Bai Yang, anwhile, has his own elder brother backing him. As Family Head, their father would obviously take issue with his elder son tornting the second son’s offspring. This chain reaction is inevitable.”

“And as for what follows… I don’t think I have to spell it out for you, do I?”

Hearing Hao Jian’s words, Spice Ginger couldn’t help but shiver. To destroy an entire family by targeting one person—a feat like this was surely only achievable by soone like Hao Jian!

What he said was also true. In the Land of Huaxia, nobody dared to cross Hao Jian lightly—because even if they could overpower him, Hao Jian would still find a way to exact so terrible revenge.

“Very well. Make sure our people keep a close watch on developnts in the Capital City. Pay particular attention to Bai Yang’s actions!”

“Understood!”

……………………………

“What did you say?! Say that again for ?!”

With a furious shout, Bai Jingze abruptly stood up from the sofa, his eyes glinting coldly and locking onto his trembling subordinate. His voice thundered, “You’d better speak clearly!”

“Master… I… I’ve just received news from Hua City. They say… say that Young Master Rong… he’s been killed by Hao Jian!”

“And now Bai Yang is bringing Young Master Rong’s corpse back…”

“Bang!”

Upon hearing these words, Bai Jingze slamd his hand down on the solid wooden table, instantly causing spider-like cracks to spread across the surface. It was a shocking sight. As he lifted his palm, a vivid handprint was left behind, silently asserting his rage.

“Bai Yang, that bastard!”

Bai Jingze growled lowly and swept his arm angrily, shouting, “Assemble everyone imdiately! Stake out the airport and bring Bai Yang to the mont you see him!”

“Understood!”

Once his subordinate had left, Bai Jingze’s fierce deanor suddenly waned, and his face flushed red. Then, he opened his mouth and let out a loud groan. A mont later, a mouthful of bright red blood sprayed onto the floor, staining the luxurious fur carpet below.

“Husband!”

Standing nearby, Zhu Tong—long overwheld by despair—was horrified when she saw her husband cough up blood. She rushed to grab so tissues and carefully wiped his mouth. After Bai Jingze regained his composure, she began to sob and complain, “You can’t let anything happen to yourself! I already feel like dying after losing our son. If you collapse too… I’ll truly have nothing left to live for!”

“Wife, don’t worry! Even if I die, I’ll make sure to avenge our son!” Bai Jingze’s eyes burned with relentless fury as he clenched his fists tightly and growled coldly.

“Yes, yes! Hao Jian must die!”

Zhu Tong nodded desperately, echoing his sentint.

“No! Hao Jian isn’t our true target. It’s Bai Yang!”

Surprisingly, Bai Jingze shook his head, his expression laden with venomous hatred. He continued, “You know what Bai Yang’s personality is like. He had clashes with Hao Jian before. And I’ve said it before—he’s arrogant and proud. He would never bow to Hao Jian.”

“I suspect he never intended to pay the ransom in the first place, hoping instead to rely on brute force to rescue Rong’er. But Hao Jian’s strength far surpasses anything we—let alone Bai Yang—could muster!”

“Knowing he couldn’t defeat Hao Jian, he still chose to bring people along. It’s clear he never cared about our son’s fate! All that mattered to him was saving face! In this, he’s just like his father—a man obsessed with pride!”
