Chapter 992: Chapter 991: Really Afraid of Death!

“You can speak Swahili too?!”

Hearing that Hao Jian could actually speak a Tanzanian dialect, Shu Ya looked at Hao Jian with disbelief and exclaid.

“Isn’t that obvious?! After all, I used to be a traveler roaming various countries, so learning a few more languages can co in handy. In situations like today, it saves a lot of headaches.”

Hao Jian shook his head and smiled, then, disregarding Shu Ya’s curiosity, he directly pulled her along to catch a taxi.

As a forr God of Death, mastering multiple languages is a must. After all, you never know which country your next target will be from or what language they speak.

Arriving at a hotel where they had booked a room online, Hao Jian and his companion tossed their luggage aside and fell directly onto the bed.

The next day…

“Hao Jian, here are the things you need to prepare for tonight’s party, and there’s a suit specially prepared for you…” Early in the morning after breakfast, Shu Ya pulled out a pile of items from her suitcase—a mix of docunts and clothes—and dumped them in front of Hao Jian.

“Uh… What are all these?”

Sitting on the sofa sipping his coffee, Hao Jian’s face froze as he looked at the pile of things in front of him. He then gave a dry laugh and asked.

“These are the contracts we’ll sign with Mr. Uli tonight, and the suit for the evening party. After all, Mr. Uli is Tanzania’s renowned gem rchant, and we shouldn’t appear too shabby at his event.”

Shu Ya squinted her eyes, smiling at Hao Jian. However, in those eyes that smiled like crescent moons, there was a hint of danger, as if she would explode if Hao Jian dared to say no.

“Hehe!”

Sensing the danger in Shu Ya’s eyes, Hao Jian rubbed his nose and chuckled, trying to make light of the situation, “I’m fine with the contract papers, but you know how much I dislike attending these kinds of parties, especially wearing such formal suits. I’d rather attend in this outfit!”

Not needing to attend the party is mainly because Hao Jian dislikes people who speak with masks on. A party results in eating little, but feeling full, which ans being filled with air.

Of course, the main issue is wearing formal attire for such parties, which Hao Jian particularly dislikes. Just hearing about wearing a suit, he already feels averse to it.

“No way!”

Although she had anticipated Hao Jian’s refusal, Shu Ya pouted, her face showing slight annoyance. She reached out and poked Hao Jian’s chest, pretending to be fierce, “If you don’t wear it for , then you don’t have to co with ! If anything happens to , you wouldn’t even know!”

“Hmph! You’re aware of the environnt here in Tanzania, and as my man, can’t you accommodate in this small matter?! Besides, what you’re wearing now, costing over a thousand bucks, looks like rags to Mr. Uli!”

“I don’t like my man Shu Ya to be looked down upon by other n!”

Upon hearing this, Hao Jian was montarily stunned. He didn’t expect Shu Ya to care so much about this matter. Imdiately, he stood up slowly, extended his arms to hug Shu Ya, and a gentle laugh ca from his lips, “Protecting you, my woman, only requires to be by your side. What I wear doesn’t matter.”

“From this mont on, I am your bodyguard!”

Hehe, being this girl’s bodyguard ans I don’t have to wear that tight outfit…

“Alright then…”

Rolling her eyes, Shu Ya finally relented. With Hao Jian’s refusal, there was nothing she could do. But having him as a bodyguard would suffice. As Hao Jian said, as long as he’s by her side, whatever identity they portray to others is inconsequential.

“Hehe, that’s the spirit!”

Lowering his head, he gently kissed Shu Ya’s forehead. Hao Jian smiled and said, “Do you think I’d care about Uli’s opinion with my status? If we were in Huaxia, his influence wouldn’t even be fit to tie my shoes!”

Hao Jian’s words were filled with confidence, a light aura emanating from him, influencing Shu Ya and dispelling her initial dissatisfaction.

Although Uli’s influence might be top-tier in Tanzania, if he were to co to Huaxia, compared to Hao Jian, he wouldn’t even have the chance to act as Hao Jian’s subordinate.

Because the gap between their statuses is not slight, the main reason for coming to Tanzania now is due to its globally envied resources, particularly gemstone resources.

If it weren’t for this, Hao Jian probably wouldn’t even be bothered to co.

As a famous gem rchant in Tanzania, Uli controls nearly seventy percent of the country’s gem resource transactions, half of which he discovered with his team, while the other half was purchased from various gem rchants.

With Uli’s resource supply, Shu Ya Group would not need to worry about gemstone resources for the next five years. Yuan Shanshan could focus more on her creations, and the profits of Shu Ya Group would increase significantly.

Perhaps Hao Jian doesn’t care about the developnt status of these companies, but Shu Ya is quite concerned. The joy of watching the company she built step by step grow is akin to a mother watching her child grow up day by day under her education.

“Hao Jian, I don’t care, you must stay by my side at all tis!”

“That’s no problem at all, my beautiful princess!”

………………………

At local ti six o’clock in the evening, Hao Jian and Shu Ya arrived at Wenguja Island (also known as Zanzibar Island).

On Wenguja Island, near the seaside, Uli owns a plot of land spanning two acres, on which he has built an exceptionally magnificent sea-view villa.

This sea-view villa is also the venue for tonight’s banquet, which will feature celebrities and successful businessn from various parts of Tanzania.

“Miss Shu Ya?”

When Shu Ya presented an invitation from Uli, the doorman, a young black man, respectfully inquired. Anyone who could attend an event at his master’s house today was either famous dostically or internationally.

His master had specifically instructed him today that a distinguished guest from Huaxia would be attending tonight, and he had morized this guest’s na long beforehand.

Therefore, after seeing Shu Ya nod, he opened the gate to allow her entrance. However, when it was Hao Jian’s turn, he blocked Hao Jian with his hand and in a cold voice said, “Sir, please show your invitation, if you don’t have one, turn right!”

“Heh, quite the airs you’ve got…”

Hao Jian sneered to himself but kept a smile on his face as he looked toward Shu Ya. Then he aid a punch at the young man’s body.

“What are you doing!?”

The young man, in pain, was knocked to the ground by Hao Jian’s punch and angrily yelled, trying to get up by supporting himself with his hands. But as he attempted to rise, a foot had unknowingly landed on him, pressing him back down…

“As your guest, your disrespectful behavior toward grants the right to teach you a lesson for your rudeness.”

Using fluent Swahili, Hao Jian voiced this statent while casually glancing at the young man, sneering, “Barely anyone here shares my and my boss’s skin color, you’re picking a fight with on purpose, aren’t you?!”

“Alright, let him go!”

Seeing that Hao Jian hadn’t even entered yet and had already beaten soone, Shu Ya felt quite exasperated, sternly saying to Hao Jian.

Openly, their relationship was now that of an employer and a bodyguard.

“Yes!”

Hearing Shu Ya’s command, Hao Jian removed his foot, then stood by Shu Ya’s side, coldly glaring at the young black man.

“This is my bodyguard, I hope you won’t make the sa mistake next ti.” Shu Ya casually glanced at the young man, then turned to walk into the villa.

With Hao Jian closely following Shu Ya, ever vigilant, his eyes constantly scanning the surroundings. Punching the young man was partly because he was annoying and partly to draw attention and see who was present.

This move was to prevent unforeseen incidents like an attack. After all, when Hao Jian ca to Tanzania, he specifically investigated Uli and discovered Uli had quite a few enemies there.

With such a high-profile banquet, it was likely to attract the attention of those with ill intentions. Although they wouldn’t target Shu Ya, considering they were here to sign a contract with Uli, who knows what might happen during the signing.

Walking into the villa, Hao Jian was imdiately captured by its luxury. The entire structure was made with marble, and just a touch showed the walls were strong enough to withstand four-tenths of his strength, equivalent to the force of a grenade.

Looking at the crystal chandeliers, various jade ornants, and famous artworks, their combined value was in the billions, not to ntion what was hidden beneath the surface.

This sturdy villa was enough to withstand dozens of grenade attacks; in so way, it was a safe house.

“Tap, tap…”

Lightly tapping the floor with his foot, Hao Jian’s eyes montarily reflected so thoughtful glimrs. He pondered for a mont and nodded slightly to himself.

Indeed, there was nothing simple about this villa, it seed Uli was really quite afraid of dying…

Then there were the security guards around…
