Chapter 1565: Chapter 1160: Why Isn’t It Just One Person?

Dr. Yuan said, it’s impossible for everyone to just sit here and wait around, he’s willing, but is Professor Yang willing?

Dean Xia checked his watch and said, “Old Zhao, could you please accompany Dr. Yuan, I need to head back to the office, there are many things I need to attend to.”

Then he got up and left, Yang Ping went back to continue guiding the students in analyzing cases, Wen Ruzheng returned to the Pathology Departnt, Director Zhao took Dr. Yuan to the hospital cafeteria for lunch, and then arranged for a staff mber to give Dr. Yuan a tour of the hospital.

As a forensic expert in the province, Dr. Yuan is usually very busy, so it’s rare for him to have ti to co out, and he took this opportunity to tour the renowned Sanbo Research Institute—now known as the Southern dical Science Academy.

He originally studied clinical dicine during his undergraduate years. Later, he read about the achievents of Li Changyu, a Chinese-Arican forensic scientist, and developed a love for forensic science, which is the closest field to clinical dicine. Thus, he abandoned clinical dicine to pursue a Master’s and then a Ph.D. in forensic science, under the ntorship of a renowned authority in the field within the country. After graduating, he directly entered the Nandu Province Hall and, after so years of hard work, is now a heavyweight figure in forensic dicine in Nandu Province and also well-known nationally.

An hour later, a designated person brought the pathology slices in a box. Dr. Yuan, with his assistant, took the box to the institute to find Yang Ping. He first called Director Zhao, who happened to be free, and personally led him to find Yang Ping again.

Yang Ping was still on duty and said, “Let’s go to the Pathology Departnt, you go there directly, and I’ll follow shortly.”

Director Zhao hastily led Dr. Yuan to the Pathology Departnt. Before Dr. Yuan arrived, the Provincial Hall director personally called Dean Xia to arrange the contact, and because the case was of significant importance to the province, involving many aspects, there could be no room for error.

If the deceased was murdered, the situation becos much more complicated; if it was a natural death due to illness, things are much simpler.

Wen Ruzheng was still in the Pathology Departnt looking at the tissue sections. He had just eaten a bowl of instant noodles with two stewed eggs and continued to work, though for him, it was not work but a ga, a joy in life.

His enthusiasm for tissue sections is like the passion high school students have for video gas, able to work through the night tirelessly, without losing interest.

Seeing Dr. Yuan bring the pathology slices over, Wen Ruzheng’s eyes lit up like a hungry wolf seeing fresh at, his mont to shine had arrived again. Every highlight mont for Wen Ruzheng happened at such tis.

He could see things in pathology slices that others could not, and he believed that’s how a man should be.

This is Wen Ruzheng’s value system.

Dr. Yuan placed the box on a nearby table, and Director Zhao pointed to a microscope, “Dr. Wen, please take a look and see what’s going on.”

It’s quite impolite to bother Prof. Yang with such a trivial matter, and it would be very inappropriate. Prof. Yang agreeing to co is already very considerate. Wen Ruzheng carefully took the pathology slice handed over by Dr. Yuan, securely placed it, and prepared the microscope, just about to start when he noticed that Prof. Yang wasn’t there yet.

Prof. Yang hadn’t arrived, and he wanted to wait for him to start, as a sign of respect, and to show off in front of Prof. Yang.

More importantly, only Prof. Yang would understand the value of so high-difficulty pathology slices. If there truly was a discovery, discussing it with these people would be pointless. They wouldn’t understand.

About ten minutes later, Yang Ping arrived with several students. It wasn’t that Yang Ping was trying to make a grand entrance; now wherever Yang Ping went in the hospital, besides the plainclothes guards following secretly, there were many young graduates who followed him to see the scene, learn a few things, while also assisting Professor Yang as assistants. This was the graduates’ spontaneous behavior.

Once Yang Ping was seated, Wen Ruzheng adjusted his breathing and began looking at the pathology slices through the microscope, appearing very focused as if handling a very delicate task.

Approaching pathology slices with reverence because a misdiagnosis can destroy soone’s entire life, this is Wen Ruzheng’s belief.

“Dr. Wen is our Sanbo Hospital Pathology Departnt’s academic leader, young and promising, his achievents in pathology are very high, whether dostically or internationally, he is a top-tier pathology talent, he is our Sanbo Hospital’s gold standard for viewing pathology slices.” Director Zhao introduced Wen Ruzheng to Dr. Yuan, sitting next to him.

Of course, Director Zhao didn’t ntion those unspeakable things.

“Those involved in academia can be a bit straightforward, speaking very bluntly,” Director Zhao explained for Wen Ruzheng’s prior comnts.

When Wen Ruzheng said in front of Dr. Yuan that the quality of the pathology slice was too low and not up to standards at Sanbo Hospital, let alone the forensic laboratory’s pathology slice, even slices from other large hospitals weren’t done as ticulously as Sanbo Hospital. The entire process was extrely rigorous, thorough, and on-point; Wen Ruzheng would point that out and criticize. At first, the Pathology Departnt doctors felt uncomfortable, under a lot of pressure, and had substantial grievances against Wen Ruzheng, thinking he was excessively strict, nitpicking, unnecessary. So aspects would just do.

But over ti, everyone gradually developed a habit of seriousness, if any step wasn’t well-done, everyone instead felt uneasy, and the task must be done perfectly, the whole departnt was infected with “perfection syndro” by Wen Ruzheng.

The quality of this pathology slice was indeed very poor, and as Wen Ruzheng was looking, he mumbled internally, if it were a colleague in our departnt, he would start criticizing directly, but since these were outsiders, he couldn’t keep pointing fingers.

Ten minutes later, Wen Ruzheng’s eyes hadn’t left the microscope’s eyepiece, and Yang Ping understood in his heart that there was a problem with this pathology slice, because any slice that could make Wen Ruzheng observe for so long was certainly not an ordinary slice, it had to be a difficult case.

Director Zhao chatted with Dr. Yuan, introducing the developnt of Sanbo Hospital over the years, while also inquiring about the status of a few acquaintances in the Provincial Hall. Sotis discussing a few recent major cases in the province to avoid awkward silences during the wait.

In front of Yang Ping, Dr. Yuan remained cautious. In front of such a dical expert, he was afraid of saying anything wrong, so every word was carefully considered, especially when it involved technical matters.

Director Zhao also noticed Dr. Yuan’s cautiousness and nervousness and deliberately made the atmosphere very relaxed.

Fifteen minutes had passed, and Wen Ruzheng still remained motionless like a statue. Could it be there was a problem with him? Director Zhao had a sudden feeling of alarm, got up, and quietly walked to Wen Ruzheng’s side, wondering why he was completely still?

At this mont, the phone in Wen Ruzheng’s trouser pocket was vibrating, but he remained completely still, with no reaction to the vibrating phone.

“Dr. Wen?” Director Zhao gently called out.

Wen Ruzheng didn’t respond, and his entire being seed fixed in place, completely unmoving.

“Dr. Wen!” Director Zhao’s voice was slightly louder than before and then looked towards Yang Ping.

Wasn’t Wen Ruzheng about to suddenly pass away here, thinking about all things related to diseases for doctors.

“Don’t disturb , just wait!” Wen Ruzheng suddenly blurted out.

Director Zhao’s accelerated heart rate imdiately cald down. What a scare, he almost thought this guy was going to suddenly pass away here, and his sudden stillness was quite terrifying; this Wen Ruzheng is always doing quirky things, just looking at a pathology slice, why be so still, moving a little would be that impactful?

Twenty minutes later, Director Zhao looked at the electronic clock on the wall; twenty minutes and still no movent. What pathology slice was he analyzing today, expecting to see a blossom?

He sotis slowly examined slices, Professor Yang wouldn’t have the ti to put up with his slowness, but Director Zhao only grumbled internally a bit and didn’t want to rush him, so he could only wait patiently.

“Our Dr. Wen works more ticulously, so let’s wait a bit longer. Maybe he has so new discovery,” Director Zhao explained to Dr. Yuan, lest he think Sanbo Hospital’s skills were inadequate, and the most skilled doctor in the Pathology Departnt was taking so long on such a simple pathology slice.

Suddenly, Wen Ruzheng lifted his head: “The red blood cells in the thrombus belong to two different people, not just one person…”

This conclusion startled Dr. Yuan.
