The closed-door eting of several pharmaceutical giants in Europe Switzerland has not yet concluded, and they have temporarily not reached a consensus.

"He betrayed us! Utterly betrayed us!" The CEO of a major company in France waved a tablet in his hand, showing Li Gaoyang’s pale and humiliating face at the press conference. "Not only has BG defected, but they have publicly acknowledged the leading position of those high-risk technologies! This makes all our previous dia guidance a joke!"

"It’s not just a joke; it’s a disaster!" A bald German man banged on the table hard, "Stock prices! Look at our stock prices! In just three days, the average market value of our company has evaporated by more than fifteen percent! You are not much better, investors are panic selling, they are worried about the future, fearing we will be overturned."

"Why would Li Gaoyang do this? Is he crazy? Or has he really been scared out of his mind by illness?" Soone questioned.

"I’ve received insider information," a director from Switzerland lowered his voice, but it instantly silenced everyone, "Rolf, Li Gaoyang’s shadow, has secretly assembled a negotiation team and flown to China. The target is clear — Huang Jiacai, President of Ruixing dical. They are not going to protest; they are going to seek cooperation, or rather, to surrender, to negotiate an agreent that is not too disgraceful."

Silence, a deadly silence followed.

The previously high-prestige president, an Arican with gold-rimd glasses, slowly surveyed the room, his voice hoarse but with an indisputable judgnt: "Gentlen, ladies, we have been arguing for days, cursing Li Gaoyang for days, repeating the sa words for days. Disputes and complaints are aningless. Li Gaoyang used his own health and the future of BG to teach us all a lesson — Professor Yang’s technology is not a paper tiger feigning strength, blockading and discrediting are fragile and vulnerable against absolute technological differences and the will to survive."

He stood up, hands on the desktop, body leaning forward: "The fact is, the treatnt concepts represented by K Therapy and X-2 technology may indeed be a generation ahead of our existing best solutions. Li Gaoyang is no fool; he’s voting with his life. Now, there are only two paths before us: First, continue stubborn opposition, watching BG and Ruixing reach exclusive or preferential agreents and then join forces to bulldoze through the market terrain we’ve cultivated for decades; Second—"

He took a deep breath: "Put down arrogance and prejudice, acknowledge reality, initiate contact, and seek cooperation. Even if the cooperation is costly, we must secure a ticket to enter, even if we can only stand. Otherwise, how many companies will remain in this room ten years from now is unknown; we must have enough sense of crisis."

The venue was silent, only heavy breathing was audible. Everyone understood that this was the cruelest, yet most realistic judgnt. At this mont, profit was the eternal driving force, overwhelming all ideological barriers and arrogance of technological fundantalism.

"I agree to establish contact." Finally, soone spoke with difficulty.

"I second that."

"Seconded... but we must unify our position and cannot let Huang Jiacai break us up individually or let BG Group take the lead."

"Imdiately form the highest standard of joint negotiation delegation and contact Ruixing, as quickly as possible."

After days of dispute, the resolution was quickly reached. A cautiously worded, but noticeably humble, invitation for cooperation was sent urgently through encrypted channels to the headquarters of Ruixing Group.

...

Almost simultaneously, China, Nandu.

The curved eting room at the top floor of Ruixing Group Headquarters.

Huang Jiacai sat at the main seat, wearing not a suit, but a finely crafted dark gray Zhongshan suit, ticulously buttoned up to the top. Laid out in front of him was a printout of the just-arrived invitation letter, along with a thick stack of evaluation reports on BG Group’s core assets, patent placents, and global channel network.

He read very slowly, occasionally rubbing the edge of the paper reports lightly with his forefinger unconsciously.

Rolf sat at the other end of the long table, behind him sat four of his key aides. His back was straight, and his knuckles were slightly white from where his fingers were placed under the table. He did not rush; he just waited quietly.

Finally, Huang Jiacai put down the report and removed his glasses, calmly and slowly wiping the lenses with a soft cloth. In fact, Huang Jiacai was not nearsighted; his glasses were plain lenses, and he wore them rely to create a refined image.

He did not look at Rolf; his gaze seed to be focused on a point in the void.

"Mr. Rolf," Huang Jiacai spoke, his voice peaceful, without any emotional fluctuations, "We have seen BG’s sincerity. We have also heard Mr. Li Gaoyang’s statent at the press conference."

He put on his glasses again, his gaze finally resting on Rolf’s face, calm and unruffled: "However, business cooperation, especially on a global scale involving epoch-making technology licensing, cannot be based rely on personal health needs or an unwilling public statent. It requires a more solid foundation, a clearer structure, and values that are reciprocal or even surpassing."

Rolf’s heart sank slightly, but he maintained a graceful smile: "Of course, President Huang. It’s with utmost sincerity that we co here. BG is willing to play the most active role as a cooperative partner in the global promotion of K Therapy and X-2 technology. Our top-notch network throughout Europe and Arica, mature approval fast-track, powerful market, and insurance paynt system influence can clear many obstacles for the popularity of these technologies; it’s a win-win."
