August and Manstein stood by, still digesting Yang Ping’s space theory gene, and now the K Therapy has erged. Originally, they intended to wait and find ti to visit China and learn more, but they did not expect that the K Therapy would suddenly sweep the world like a whirlwind.

Several hospitals in Europe have actively started applying to beco treatnt centers for K Therapy, catching Manstein and August off guard. How could such a good thing not include them? They should be the ones promoting K Therapy.

Upon learning that Yang Ping sent Li Guodong to Germany to guide the limited clinical trial of K Therapy, they imdiately dropped their work to join this endeavor. That’s why they are now standing by, observing Europe’s first local clinical trial of K Therapy.

It’s truly fascinating, such a high-tech treatnt thod turns out to be as simple as an infusion. Complex things ultimately presented simply, which requires a lot of technical support behind it. Manstein and August understood this principle. At the sa ti, they were also shocked at how quickly the world-class research result of K Therapy was launched.

The WeChat group was also getting lively at this ti.

Griffin: [I’m in advanced oncology. I’m going to Sanbo this ti, and I’ve already booked the tickets.]

Griffin is usually very low-key in the group, often lurking and only showing up during Red Packet grabs.

Woodhead: [Have you passed your Chinese level four exam?]

Woodhead was quite surprised. Griffin had always been silent in the group, could it be that he had already passed the Chinese Level Four exam? Impossible.

Griffin: [Already passed Level Six.]

Woodhead: [Wow, you’ve already passed Level Six? How co I’ve never heard you ntion it?]

Woodhead was devastated, as he had struggled nurous tis to barely pass Level Four, and the usually reticent Griffin had already passed Level Six.

[Actually, you don’t need to take it so to heart, Griffin didn’t an anything by it. He didn’t report his Chinese national-level achievent to everyone because he didn’t want to upset you.] John Ansen chid in.

Woodhead stopped replying, and it beca another sad story.

[As the first K Therapy trainee from the US, no one is more suitable than Griffin. Here I co, Sanbo!]

Griffin shouted, followed by a series of Red Packets.

Swipe, swipe, swipe, the group had already started a Red Packet grabbing battle.

Hans’s K infusion was complete, and he didn’t have any reactions. Everyone stood by the hospital bed, as if there was nothing left to do, and nothing left to say, everything was so calm.

"Do you feel uncomfortable?" August added.

Hans shook his head: "No."

"Not at all?" Manstein also leaned in.

Hans thought for a mont: "With so many people around , I feel a bit scared, does that count?"

Manstein turned to look back, a dozen doctors stood upright with serious expressions, lined up as if waiting for so major event to occur.

...

In the small conference hall of the Waldorf Astoria Hotel, Shanghai, a breakfast eting with a subtle atmosphere was underway.

This ti, Wu Dechang’s invitations were particularly special—three top Chinese professors in the tumor field, and two technical heads from state-owned pharmaceutical groups. No investors, no officials, just people from the front line of technology.

"Good morning, experts." Wu Dechang’s opening words were very pragmatic, "Today’s gathering isn’t about comrce, nor policy, purely technical exchange. Our ’Global dical Equity Alliance’s scientific advisory board has independently analyzed the technical path of K Therapy, and so findings might be worth discussing."

He gestured for his assistant to distribute materials, not hefty business plans, but a few preprint papers and data analysis reports.

Professor Chen adjusted his glasses, quickly skimd through the materials and frowned: "Are you questioning the target specificity of the K Factor?"

"Not questioning, just proposing a possibility." Wu Dechang pulled up a complex signal pathway diagram. "Based on existing data, we hypothesize that the core chanism by which the K Factor induces tumor cell apoptosis is by activating p53 and caspase family proteins. But here’s the issue: so normal cells, under specific stress states, may also highly express the target markers on the surface of tumor cells. Theoretically, K Therapy carriers might inadvertently harm these normal cells."

Another Professor Li shook his head: "The paper published by Professor Yang Ping’s team in Nature dicine shows that no such off-target toxicity was observed in primate animal experints."

"There’s a gap between animal experints and human applications." Wu Dechang was unhurried, "Moreover, we noted one detail: in all published K Therapy clinical data, all cases involved limited treatnt sessions. If future uses of this therapy require repeated use like chronic disease managent, a long-term safety data is missing."

This remark highlighted a potential Achilles’ heel, as all present experts knew, if tumor treatnt enters the "chronic disease" managent era, and K Therapy proves effective with minimal side effects, for certain high-risk groups or easily recurring tumors, it might be used like hypertension dication for a long term, even lifeti. Long-term safety is indeed a question that only ti can answer.

The current clinical trials of K Therapy indeed only have short-term observation data over a few months, with no long-term data, as clinical trials have only just begun.

"Mr. Wu, what exactly are you suggesting?" A technical head from a state-owned pharmaceutical company asked straightforwardly.

"We want to initiate a multi-center, independent validation clinical study." Wu Dechang looked around, "Not to replicate K Therapy, but to explore alternative solutions based on the sa principle but following different technical routes. For example, using a lentivirus vector instead of adenovirus, using different pro-apoptotic gene combinations, and even exploring non-viral delivery systems."
