"That is a more aggressive form of hijacking." Yang Ping pointed to a branch on the whiteboard, "Not only do cancer cells activate TIM mbers, but through gene fusion, they directly link the TIM core with potent oncogenic domains, such as kinases and epigenetic modification enzys. It’s akin to welding the identity lock to the energy switch, creating a self-sufficient, uncontrolled malignant cycle.
