Chapter 536: Chapter 487 Visiting Professor Chapter 536: Chapter 487 Visiting Professor Yang Ping’s lecture was originally scheduled for the next day, but it was moved forward to the afternoon by Fujiwara Masao.

As ti was limited, Yang Ping chose only one topic for his lecture — treatnt of scoliosis with external fixation device. The remaining topics were handed over to Song Zimo to present at the tea break venue.

Reluctantly, with too many treasures in hand and limited display space, the ones of low value had to be discarded from the exhibition.

However, what was considered of low value in Yang Ping’s eyes was still priceless to others.

The attraction of the tea break venue skyrocketed. Many big shots were unwilling to rest. They squeezed in with the young people to listen to Song Zimo’s lecture.

After the afternoon conference ended and before the banquet, Fujiwara Masao privately invited Yang Ping’s team to visit the orthopedic ward.

After the visit, Yang Ping rested in Fujiwara Masao’s office. Takahashi was there accompanying and acting as the interpreter.

Fujiwara Masao took out his uncle’s imaging photos, “Doctor Yang, can you help to look at this case?”

After looking through them carefully, Yang Ping said, “This elderly patient’s condition is similar to Ning Yu’s. Due to the limited brain plasticity of the elderly, we should be more cautious during the surgery.”

“This patient is my uncle. If it’s alright, I would like to ask Doctor Yang to be the chief surgeon for his operation.”

Fujiwara Masao bowed in request.

Yang Ping felt that the main job of surgeons is to operate. There was nothing inconvenient, it was just a surgery and it would not take up too much ti, so he promptly agreed:

“There is no inconvenience. Where is the patient now? Any detailed dical records?”

Fujiwara Masao did not expect Yang Ping to agree so easily. He imdiately retrieved the dical records and happily said, “He is in the special care ward of our hospital. He has been ill for more than a month and is currently in a coma.”

Yang Ping went through the dical records one by one, reading every word and sentence, and then said sowhat dissatisfactorily:

“It’s been so long, a month? Why didn’t you have surgery sooner?”

Fujiwara Masao looked embarrassed, thinking to himself, this surgery couldn’t be perford just because he said so. In the world today, only Doctor Yang had the capability to be the chief surgeon.

Yang Ping realized that his question was inappropriate and imdiately said, “We need to arrange for surgery as soon as possible. We can’t wait any longer. There is a risk of danger at any ti. It’s fortunate that his heart rate is at fifty, but it won’t be able to maintain at fifty much longer. Once it drops, it could be fatal.”

“Ergency surgery?”

Fujiwara Masao was quite anxious when he heard Yang Ping say this because Yang Ping had far more knowledge about this condition than they did.

“We can’t rush into surgery!”

Yang Ping thought for a mont, then asked, “Have you been using an icing cap to reduce the oxygen consumption of the brain tissue during this period?”

Icing caps and cooling blankets are generally used for physical cooling, such as reducing fever. They are commonly used in neurosurgery. For Fujiwara Tani, who did not have a fever, using an icing cap obviously was not for the purpose of lowering his body temperature, but to reduce the brain tissue’s oxygen consumption and enhance the brain tissue’s tolerance under low perfusion.

“We’ve been using it.”

Although Fujiwara Masao wasn’t as formidable as Yang Ping, he was still a top-tier Professor.

“That’s good! In this case, I’ll have Dr. Song from my team involve in the preparation for the surgery. It’s necessary to conduct so comprehensive tests to ensure safety during the surgery. So tests need to be conducted a few tis for comparison. At least a day’s ti should be reserved for preparation. Waiting for another day won’t increase the risk.”

Yang Ping didn’t care who the patient was. His communication with Fujiwara Masao was entirely centered on the patient’s condition.

“One day! So, the surgery won’t happen until tomorrow evening?”

Fujiwara Masao did a quick ti calculation.

Yang Ping nodded, “At the earliest, tomorrow evening. If sothing unforeseen happens midway, we will have to risk ergency surgery. If nothing unexpected occurs, try not to take risks.”

Fujiwara Masao had to admit, in Yang Ping’s concept, this surgery seems to be without any risk.

“Then–shall we go take a look at the patient together?”

Fujiwara Masao had no choice but to refer to his uncle as a “patient”, following Yang Ping’s train of thought.

“Wait, let’s wait for Dr. Song and the others.”

Yang Ping took out his phone and called Song Zimo. They were chatting in the doctor’s office.

At this ti, Fujiwara Masao received a call. Tokyo University Hospital, spurred on by Ikeda, was now eager to hire Yang Ping as a visiting professor and hoped that Fujiwara Masao could talk to Yang Ping. If possible, they wanted to sign an agreent as soon as possible.

Fujiwara Masao put down the phone and expressed his intention to Yang Ping, asking him about his conditions.

After thinking for a bit, Yang Ping felt that the visiting professorship was advantageous and harmless. As for conditions, there must be so. So, he told Fujiwara his conditions.

Tokyo University Hospital would give Sanbo Hospital fifty training quotas each year. The allocation of specialties for these fifty people would be decided by Sanbo Hospital. Each person’s study duration should not be less than three years. During their study period, Tokyo University Hospital would need to enforce strict requirents as if they were training their own doctors.

If the quota was too small, they couldn’t form a scale advantage. If it was too large, the quality of training from Tokyo University Hospital would inevitably decline.

Fifty was just right.

If all the newly recruited young doctors at Sanbo Hospital could be trained in these world-class hospitals given the ti, the overall level of the hospital would soar.

The more, the rrier!

Yang Ping felt that it was limited to just rely on his own prowess. Only when the whole Sanbo Hospital advanced would it be the right course.

Sanbo Hospital always thought about his needs, so he also had to consider Sanbo Hospital’s needs too. He couldn’t just focus on his own benefits; he needed to use these channels to seek opportunities for Sanbo Hospital.

When Yang Ping stated his conditions, Professor Fujiwara was stunned for a mont.

The conditions were so simple. He didn’t even ntion things like salary.

“Is it really just this condition?” Professor Fujiwara wanted to confirm.

Yang Ping nodded, “Just this, is there a problem?”
