Chapter 861: Chapter 766: Supersaturated Attack Chapter 861: Chapter 766: Supersaturated Attack The reformatting of the Science journal was finally settled, and Manstein was very pleased with the efficiency of his old friend Lewis.

This kind of rush job was indeed too hasty and prone to errors in formatting, but in order to have the paper published as quickly as possible, to reflect its scientific value and historical significance, Manstein had no choice but to go through with it.

Now that it was all done without any major issues, Manstein could breathe a sigh of relief.

He picked up the phone and dialed August’s mobile number. He now had a higher regard for August because it was August who recomnded Yang Ping’s first CNS paper to Manstein. It was because of this paper that Manstein rembered Yang Ping, leading to that impulsive click which otherwise would not have made him see those three historic papers so soon.

“Mr. August!”

The usually proud Manstein had never before addressed August with the title “Mr.,” opting instead to call him by his na.

“Has Professor Yang Ping submitted three articles to Science again?” Manstein asked deliberately.

August confird, “Yes! He recently submitted three papers to Science. Have these three papers co into your hands again?”

Manstein’s voice rang out loud and confident, “Yes, your friend is quite a troubleso fellow. Can’t he submit one at a ti? Submitting three at once made pull an all-nighter, owing favors to the Aricans, and incurring the resentnt of the editorial team. But at last, I managed to get everything settled. Tell him, your troubleso friend, that his three papers will be published in the upcoming issue, one of them as the cover article. This friend is truly a character, three papers at once, I have never seen such boldness.”

August spoke in an even tone, “Sir, I’m very grateful for your enthusiasm, but I must correct two points. First, Professor Yang is not my friend, but my ntor. Second, he did not submit a total of three papers this ti, but twelve. He only sent three to Science, four to Nature, and five to Cell. My ntor always acts like this; in such matters, he particularly likes saturation attacks.”

“Twelve papers?”

Manstein exclaid in surprise, then silence fell on the call. He was completely flabbergasted. Twelve papers submitted to CNS at once? Three papers were already astonishing, but now that number was twelve.

Even Manstein’s super brain felt a bit dizzy. The genius’s brain felt as if its CPU power was clearly insufficient.

“Are you sure? Twelve papers?”

Although Manstein heard it clearly, he still wanted to confirm.

“Yes, twelve papers.”

August replied bluntly, repeating it in both German and English.

“Well then! CNS is going to suffer the strongest firepower in history.”

Manstein fell silent again.

The genius’s brain CPU seed to be squeaking. After a long silence, Manstein managed to squeeze out a sentence:

“What a troubleso fellow indeed. Alright, tell him if they co my way, they’ll receive the sa treatnt as the first three. However, I can’t be sure about the brains at Cell and Nature, what portion is actual brain tissue and what’s just tofu. In my view, Lewis is still sowhat truthful, passing on papers he doesn’t understand to to try, but so are different, especially the Brits. You know they’re the best at pretense. It’s very possible the papers will be outright rejected by them and not even make it to peer review.”

“Don’t worry, leave it to . As long as I’m aware of it, and the papers are legitimate, I won’t let them dismiss it so carelessly.”

Manstein, serving as a reviewer for the dical categories of all three CNS journals, was probably the only one in the world to hold this honor. The greater the ability, the greater the responsibility; Manstein wouldn’t let the shine of gold be obscured.

“You said it yourself; I’m not asking for your help, I don’t owe you any favors this ti,” August stated right away for clarification.

“My old friend,” Manstein spoke slowly, “but you can’t go back on your promise from last ti.”

“Of course,” August affird unwaveringly.

No one knew what kind of deal was struck between the two Germans.

In truth, Professor Yang Ping had no interest in “Outstanding Young Talent”; for him, even millions in research funds were insufficient to fill the gaps. Now with specialized funding support, he had no concerns about research funds. Hence, if possible, Yang Ping hoped all his topics would be self-funded to save ti on various reviews and conserve national funds, leaving the limited resources for those in need.

However, Dean Xia and Director Han were highly enthusiastic, and the “Outstanding Young Talent” title was crucial for the developnt of Sanbo Hospital. Yang Ping could not let the elders’ enthusiasm turn cold, so he, too, had to participate actively.

Thus, Yang Ping took ti out of his busy schedule to attend the Outstanding Young Talent quota voting eting at Nandu dical University. This eting required the presence of the candidates, who also had to make speeches — essentially lobbying for themselves.

Between the dical University and its affiliated hospitals, the managent operates in a hierarchical relationship, but in reality, there’s not much interaction. Everyone is busy with their tasks, so it’s rare for them to gather together.

Today was different. The bigwigs from Nandu dical University’s headquarters and several affiliated hospitals were gathered around a rectangular conference table. On the surface, they were polite and even-tempered, but beneath that, they were all brimming with competitive energy.

Principal Ruo could see that the last eting’s three factions had shifted to two today, with the middle power being divided between the two sides. It was a real case of “the Eight Immortals crossing the sea, each displaying their own abilities.”

Professor Yang Ping had just completed two surgeries before he set out, so he didn’t arrive particularly early. When he reached the venue, it was already full. With the staff’s guidance, he found his seat, directly opposite the well-known Guan Ruyan.

Guan Ruyan’s face soured upon seeing Yang Ping, a hint of hostility evident in his eyes, but Yang Ping didn’t care and simply ignored him.

Everyone was engaged in the realm of academia, where fair competition was the norm. There was no need for such overt hostility.

Professor Zhou’s gaze swept over Yang Ping’s face, pausing briefly as if to reassure Yang Ping not to worry, as they had his back.

When it ca to networking, Vice Principal Ding was far inferior to Professor Su. The newly inducted Academician Su Qingyun was not only academically competent but also skilled in managing various relationships, with virtually no weaknesses. He was well-connected, not just within Nandu dical University, but nationwide.

But still, Nandu dical University’s headquarters was Vice Principal Ding’s turf, and while Professor Su could be considered a “mighty dragon,” Vice Principal Ding was definitely the “local snake.”

“Has everyone arrived? We have six minutes left; our eting will start on ti,” Principal Ruo announced as he scanned the room, ntally counting the attendees. It was unusual for all the experts to arrive on ti without any tardiness or absences.

The two most representative experts were obvious to any discerning person — Professor Zhou was representing Professor Su, and the head of Nandu dical University’s Science and Technology Departnt, Shi Qingxian, represented Vice Principal Ding.

Professor Zhou appeared more composed, while Professor Shi’s expression was clearly troubled.

In recent days, several of Professor Shi’s prospective contacts had tactfully declined, refusing to et with him. This suggested they might have joined the opposing camp.

Professor Shi surmised that apart from the covert support of Su Qingyun, Yang Ping also had the help of many others. The eager involvent of Xia Changjiang and Han Jiangong from Sanbo Hospital was obvious; they were actively rallying support.

There were also complications within Nandu dical University itself. Professor He from the Digital dical Laboratory was almost openly supporting Yang Ping. While Lin Lan from the Genetics Laboratory had to avoid involvent due to suspected familial ties, she held influence at the university, and undoubtedly, her circle in genetics was siding with the opposition.

The most troubleso was Academician Xiang, who likely was also aiding from the shadows. Several professors from the headquarters who initially promised to support Guan Ruyan had suddenly changed allegiance in recent days, all of them being students of Academician Xiang.

Academician Xiang, an Old Academician, held great esteem at Nandu dical University.

Vice Principal Ding and Professor Shi had thought they were evenly matched, but in just a few days, what seed an even struggle had turned into being overwheld by numbers.
