"You can’t go back to the dorm in this state, or..." Yin ng looked at Yin Shixiu, "Uncle, just let Xiao ng rest at your place for a few days?"
"Pfft... cough cough! Cough cough cough!"
Su Xiaong sputtered out the porridge she was eating, Yin ng hurriedly grabbed a tissue to wipe her, "Eat slower."
"Cough cough!" Su Xiaong quickly waved her hand and shook her head, her face turning red from choking, "No, no need to trouble Uncle! I’ll go back to the dorm! It’s okay!"
"At a ti like this, why are you trying to be tough?" Yin ng frowned, actually a bit angry!
"I... it’s really too much trouble for Uncle, or I’ll just go back to the hospital. I’ll listen to you and go back to the hospital, is that okay?"
"It’s fine, I don’t feel bothered."
Yin Shixiu suddenly said sothing, with his thumb still touching his lips, his expression was profound, making Su Xiaong feel a chill down her spine.
"No, no, no, it’s really too much trouble, I feel bothered, I have trouble sleeping on a different bed!"
Yin ng rolled her eyes, "You have trouble with a bed? When you sleep deeply, you’re like a dead pig! Uncle didn’t say anything, why are you being so pretentious? It’s settled!"
"..." Su Xiaong’s heart was overwheld at this mont!
She couldn’t understand, why is it so difficult just to stay a bit away from soone?
Yin ng, you’re not helping recuperate, you’re pushing into the fire pit!
Under Yin ng’s glare, she ultimately lacked the courage and strength to resist, and could only eat her porridge quietly.
Yin Shixiu was out for work, and Yin ng sat by the bedside looking at the frail Su Xiaong, she seed to have tons to say but couldn’t start.
Su Xiaong saw her expression and knew what she wanted to say, so she spoke first, "I won’t keep this child."
"Do you really not know who the child’s father is?"
"No matter who it is, I won’t keep it. This child is just an accident, I’m only nineteen, I can’t possibly take any risks or responsibility for this unexpected accident."
"Have you thought it through?"
"Is there even anything to think about?" Su Xiaong said matter-of-factly, "Get rid of the child and return to normal. That’s it!"
"Since you’ve made up your mind, what do you need to do?"
Yin ng was only a year older than Su Xiaong, with her best friend facing such a situation, she was both shocked and clueless, not knowing what exactly to do to help her, and unsure of what truly counts as helping her...
They were both too young, lacking experience, lacking confidence, only able to explore through fear and panic.
Should we notify Xiaong’s parents, should we tell the teacher, or tell our own parents, would having a mature adult to give advice lead to a better decision?
But she also knew, Su Xiaong saying she doesn’t know who the father is leaves two possibilities, either she truly doesn’t know, or Su Xiaong refuses to ntion it, neither of which would have a good outco.
If this were made into a big deal for no reason, the one who would be most hurt would be Su Xiaong.
Looking at Yin ng, Su Xiaong suddenly felt a deep sense of gratitude, her nose tingling...
She pulled Yin ng’s hand to her cheek, her voice choked, "ng ng... Thank you..."
Yin ng used her other hand to gently ruffle Su Xiaong’s hair.
Su Xiaong sniffed, then said, "I want you to keep a secret, don’t tell anyone."
"You can rest easy about that! What else?"
Su Xiaong smiled a little, "And... help organize the Christmas Eve dance performance!"
