"President Rong."
Rong Jing raised an eyebrow, pausing his words and looking at Su Xiaong leisurely, waiting for her response,
"I thought only journalists and dia, in search of sensationalism, would doubt the Yin Family’s reputation based on such baseless rumors."
"Yet, I never imagined that President Rong would be just like them."
"..."
"There’s an ancient saying in China... ’Respect the deceased.’
Su Xiaong’s gentle smile vanished from her face,
"President Rong, you have repeatedly ntioned my deceased husband in public, and, despite the Public Security Bureau not producing any evidence of my husband’s alleged drug trafficking and smuggling, you keep pressing for a response on this issue."
"First, I don’t know if you’re bringing up this issue again in such a setting to embarrass , or if you think this question will be crucial in the Bill Group’s assessnt of the Yin Family."
"If you’re trying to embarrass , all I can say is that you’ve underestimated not just , but the image the entire Yin Family has built in the minds of consurs through years of strength."
"If you believe this issue will be the key to the Bill Group’s assessnt of the Yin Family, then you’ve underestimated the Bill Group. If what they cared about was truly this fabricated point, why bother with today’s open competition?"
"Or, is it that you think the planning proposal put forth by the Rong Group, in terms of hard power, won’t match up to the Yin Family, so you’re resorting to these second-rate tricks?"
"President Su, you’re overthinking it. I’m rely curious, that’s all."
"At the press conference of the Yin Family a week and a half ago, I stated in front of all journalists and dia that I firmly believe in my husband’s character and conduct."
"Since the Public Security Bureau is unwilling to provide a clear response, I’m not anxious. I will wait for the day when the truth cos to light, and I ask Mr. Rong to patiently wait as well."
"The Yin Family has already presented its plan. Though there might be so minor shortcomings in the proposal, it is a strategy crafted by Yin Family employees based on the characteristics of the Bill Group and the Yin Family, addressing key aspects of each project."
"I also ask the Rong Group to compete with us based on strength. I believe this is the reason Mr. Bill changed the eting location today at the last minute."
After finishing, Su Xiaong glanced at Mr. Bill with a slight smile.
Mr. Bill nodded understandingly,
"President Su is right. The reason for changing the eting location at the last minute was to witness the strength and determination of the Yin Family and the Rong Family in a calm setting, unaffected by external opinions."
"I’m sorry, Mr. Bill. Asking such a question was my fault. I didn’t expect President Su to care so much, nor did I expect her to think so deeply and far."
Rong Jing apologized repeatedly.
Yet, the underlying aning in his words was that Su Xiaong overreacted, making a mountain out of a molehill.
Su Xiaong just looked at Rong Jing’s insincere manner indifferently and didn’t continue to argue, but asked calmly,
"Does President Rong have any other questions?"
"Not for the mont."
Su Xiaong thanked him and then stepped down.
Rong Jing didn’t wait long either; his assistant brought up the computer, and he walked towards the presentation stage, passing by Su Xiaong,
"Remarkable, your English is excellent."
"Hehe."
"..."
Su Xiaong sat down with a slight smile on her lips. So had heard Rong Jing’s praise, and seeing Su Xiaong’s courteous deanor, anyone would think she had thanked him.
Only Rong Jing knew he got ’haha-ed.’
...
Rong Jing took the stage.
His usual audacity and arrogance were not entirely derogatory terms used to describe him but rather carried so positive attributes,
referring to Rong Jing’s confidence and flamboyant personality.
These traits set him apart among this group of young and promising business leaders.
The personal charisma of a leader inevitably influences the entire company’s image and culture.
If the Yin Family is described as a deep and steady gentleman, then the Rong Family is the flamboyantly confident and domineering leader.
Su Xiaong looked at the man on stage, her fists slightly clenched, nervous...
She knew if her husband were here, he would steadfastly believe they could win, but now she was the one sitting here. Compared to Rong Jing on stage, she felt truly inadequate.
There aren’t so many legends where a seasoned businessman is defeated by a fledgling young man.
She had already done her best, but watching Rong Jing...
"Madam, there’s no need to be too nervous. You did a great job, truly."
Chen Lan noticed Su Xiaong’s tension and quickly whispered words of encouragent.
