Now reading: Chapter 1824 - 401: Bonds of Affection Among the Master and from Surviving The Fourth Calamity, a Game novel by Naxilia.

Aislin glanced at Gilbert: "Have you been spending too much ti with the kids lately, suddenly seeing blue skies and seas in your mind?"

Hill felt mocked... This remark clearly suggested that Gilbert, an inherently chaotic and dark thinker, was asking such foolish questions.

Even though he planned to leave those guys behind for the Hainarson Clan’s sake instead of taking them to Sia Tower, no one would thank him for it.

Anyway, people like Ulrich, as Gilbert’s legitimate family, would be protected by Archmage Ruth’s line, and Gilbert still cared about the others’ fate. Aislin found it unbelievable, given her understanding of her junior’s experiences over the years.

Then she quickly thought about the two apprentices bringing good news to Gilbert, pondering whether Gilbert’s mind had gone awry, deciding to think of a family that once abandoned him because of so benefits.

She truly is a sister who knows how to speak.

Rather than asking if water had entered your brain, she asks if you’ve seen the ocean.

However, what could Hill do?

Could he possibly say he genuinely considered Gilbert’s family?

Since he couldn’t say that, Hilbert rely pursed his lips slightly: "I just couldn’t see so things clearly, so I spoke a bit cautiously."

"Heh~ You never cared about the intrigues in the Magic Tower, did you finally notice this ti?" Aislin sneered sarcastically, "What did Prutt say to make the string in your brain vibrate?"

"Too stupid." Hill thought back and forth, then stated, "So stupid that I can’t believe the person before is a Seventh Circle Mage."

Aislin’s mouth twitched slightly. She truly understood why Gilbert was thunderstruck by Prutt’s mind, allowing him to soberly recognize Kante Tower’s definite issues.

Among Ruth’s students, none were like that... Not even the greedy relatives of Nicholson’s students were like Prutt, as if all their neurons were trapped in so spell circuit without branches, unable even to perceive exists outside that circuit.

Training soone like that to beco a Seventh Circle Mage, either Kante Tower was an unparalleled master, or... he must have had so bizarre thods.

Of course, given Prutt’s usual imitation of Kante Tower’s arrogant and cold deanor, ordinary Mid-Lower Rank Mage couldn’t encounter him. Even other Seventh Circle Mages could only see Prutt’s cold and haughty gaze... He always thought he was the strongest among all Seventh Circle Mages in the Tower of Dark Enigma... hence not exposed.

Moreover, when Prutt spoke to peers or those stronger, he still sowhat maintained so reasonableness and courtesy, even if most Seventh Circle Mages felt his arrogant attitude could use so beating, it wasn’t to the point where they thought his brain was broken.

Instead, people like Gilbert, with high status, well-known foul temperant, yet secretly sensitive Mid-level Magician, could see Prutt’s true nature.

"After all, when he goes out, he doesn’t interact with outsiders." Aislin contemplated the matter slightly, giving the Tower of Dark Enigma so face, "Usually, only matters concerning external dealings with Sia Tower would send him out, so no need to worry."

Hilbert cast her a peculiar glance: What’s that got to do with him?

"Since you’re about to recover, in the future, you can’t remain this quiet, can you!" Aislin replied displeased, "Among the students, there’s finally one who I find delightful; naturally, I want to show them off proudly."

Hilbert genuinely curled the corner of his mouth.

Was she suggesting that Ruth finally had a student who, like her, could navigate intrigues, and shouldn’t remain idle?

Aislin lightly swayed on the sofa, her tall, well-proportioned body creating a stunning silhouette... Hill, although having seen her a few tis in Gilbert’s mories, could only feel this way seeing her in person.

This lady truly resembles a skylark... the most noticeable one in the flock, using the sa flying posture, yet manages to catch your eye.

Perhaps it was the graceful neck, perhaps the powerful wings, perhaps even the striking feather atop her head, even if she was quietly flying there, you’d perceive her uniqueness.

"It’s better to be realistic." Hilbert stared indifferently at the smoothly smiling Aislin, "I’ve always only considered getting through today, uninterested in treating future affairs as daily bread."

"So, will you really make the Hainarson Clan leave last, even if you recover before then?" Aislin gently bit her crimson lower lip, amusent crossing her bright brown eyes, "Aren’t you concerned they won’t heed your words?"

"Ulrich will listen." Hilbert answered softly.

Indeed, this kid still harbors ulterior motives.

Aislin raised her brows.

After learning the Hainarson Clan had a spiritual purifying thod, Aislin did send people to investigate... Of course, she wasn’t distrusting Gilbert’s judgnt, but there are inevitable misconceptions when personally involved.

The Hainarson Clan had long been on Archmage Ruth’s monitoring list... Her teacher was always worried Sia Tower would exploit the Hainarson Clan and Gilbert’s relationship to encroach upon their faction.

Aislin quickly realized through so library surveillance arrays how the child nad Russell managed to study and devise the spiritual purification thod... Anyone slightly understanding the Defense Tower and Hainarson Clan’s relationship would surmise that the Archmage must have left so legacy for his old friend’s descendants.

However, his friend’s descendants likely never had the chance to see that book.

Thinking about it made Aislin sigh... If only Gilbert had read that book, he probably wouldn’t have suffered miserably for years.

Yet, on the flip side, if he really had that luck, Gilbert wouldn’t have beco Ruth’s student, her junior, or even entered the Tower of Dark Enigma.

Tut~ But if he went to the Tower of Despair, Gilbert wouldn’t be able to directly beco a student of the Tower Master.

Fate~ truly mysterious.

"Your student has to figure this out by themselves, you understand?" Aislin reminded Gilbert earnestly, "Standard Runes..."

"Even ghosts wouldn’t believe that." Hilbert said languidly, "Let’s say the Standard Runes were an ancient collection of the Hainarson Clan, unknown where they ca from.

Can’t admit they were taken from the Tower of Dark Enigma, right?"

Hilbert certainly wouldn’t heed Aislin fully.

Their Eldest Martial Sister was highly smart and capable, her approach strong... If she tied this to Ruth, Russell would face trouble later.

Aislin wouldn’t and didn’t intend to consider Russell’s future, but that wouldn’t do for Hilbert.

He wanted to continue concealing his presence!

Without a remarkable student shining brightly, Gilbert would have to do everything himself, right?

"Heh~" Aislin glanced at him, "You treat your student well enough."

"Hmm? Shouldn’t you look at yourself first?" Hilbert gave her a disdainful look... Isn’t this Ruth’s legacy?

Having taken soone under their wing, no way they would let outsiders bully them.

"Anyway, if the Hainarson Clan splinter due to your decision, you’re indifferent, right?" Aislin resud the topic, unable to persuade Gilbert against his usual stoic resolve, even their teacher couldn’t change his mind.

She suddenly blinked: "Will your two students’ relatives follow Ulrich?"

"That’s their business to determine; I won’t interfere." Hilbert replied coldly, "If in such critical monts, one can’t control their family, being dragged along, I won’t lack new students, right?

Everything has a baseline, mine probably higher."

Archmage Ruth’s line recruited hundreds of students, with only dozens left prominently due to constant elimination!

Aislin felt relieved: "That’s good, I was worried you’d rekindle familial affection again."

Hilbert threw her an inexplicable glance: He experienced ntal Sea disturbance, not intelligence disruption.
