Chapter 747: 546

Hill knew what had astonished the Paladins.

They must have had encounters with this group of the Undead Tribe in Felunryel, or else Baldy wouldn’t have chosen to save them. It would have required a long-reputation mission for them to act so favorably.

Normally, the Undead indeed wouldn’t respect the Alliance commander so much.

But this was a matter related to reputation, wasn’t it!

When it ca to serious matters, if ‘Snow Cloud Peak’ truly made a decision, most of the people in his Alliance would still follow him.

Just like these Clan Leaders, who might have been calling him ‘Snow Old Dog’ a mont ago, their sarcasm and difficulty toward ‘Snow Cloud Peak’ as an individual, and their faith in his judgnt and obedience to his command, were always two different things.

Hill shifted his gaze away. In ti, the Undead would see more and understand what it ant ‘if it’s an enemy, then right is also wrong’.

As for whether the Undead were chaotic or orderly, that depended on the circumstances.

“Mr. Hill, I’ve brought a letter from Alice.” ‘Snow Cloud Peak’ ca over and took out an exquisitely small box from his ring.

Hill took it over, his expression involuntarily changing, “Is she alright?”

“Alice is definitely safe now. When William found out she went to ‘Quince’ World alone, he ordered all Undead to ensure her safety.” ‘Snow Cloud Peak’ said with a strange expression on his face, “But I think, Mr. Hill, what you’d want to know more is whether that leopard has been forgiven.

The answer is no.

Now, she has a lot more suitors.

The difference between a cat and a beauty is substantial.

The first reaction of these suitors was usually to kill the most powerful competitor first.

rkel is having a tough ti dealing with them, a lot of them want to kill him after learning of his identity.

Quince is the stronghold of the Chaotic Faction; the near fall into the Abyss was their own doing.

In previous worlds, at least it was an external invasion, but in Quince that damned place, even devils and demons don’t want them.

On the other hand, Alice thrives there.

In Quince, she now has a large territory. Learning from Mr. Hill’s thod of managing Magical Beasts, Magical Beasts from factions other than the Evil Faction, as long as they swear to abide by the rules there, are allowed to settle.

They are free to leave at any ti.

She lives in a valley at the center of her territory. William says she may ascend to godhood in Quince, only she hasn’t decided which Divinity yet.

But there is indeed a display of Divinity.

I think Mr. Hill doesn’t need to worry about Miss Alice, in so ways, she knows much more than you do.”

Hill had nothing to say.

He caressed the delicate box. Originally, Hill made a set of twelve storage boxes for Alice, and when she was a cat, she always liked them a lot.

He wondered if her preferences changed after she beca human.

He nodded to the Undead around him: “I’ll be going back first, you guys should head to the square early too! I guess Coron will soon be sending the Gold Coins.”

Being able to exchange Gold Coins for Attributeless Crystals would probably make Coron ecstatic; he’s likely been busy minting Gold Coins these days.

Elven Gold Coins are different from the popular ones in Toril now; not only are they exquisitely made, but they also have a higher gold content, along with so special Runes.

Even though they are more complicated to make, they are almost equivalent to ten tis the ordinary Gold Coins and can be used in Heaven.

After greeting the onlooking Undead, Hill took the box and returned to the study.

He first called for Marsha and asked her to send the control Core of the God of Ti and Space to Lynn’s place. To keep these Undead honest, this object was indispensable.

They needed constant surveillance, and Hill truly didn’t want any of the Undead entering the residential area and causing trouble.

Moreover, the controller created from this object was quite useful for the Mayors; it made all the affairs of the territory crystal clear.

Hill didn’t open the gift from Alice, deciding to finish reading William’s letter first.

The previous part was talking about the profession choices of the Undead, and William wrote with surprise afterward: What kind of heaven-defying character did Toril produce?

The many Professions that Coron revealed were clearly those of Deities.

The exclusive Profession of the God of Knowledge was there, and William was truly startled when he saw it.

Isn’t that one always eternally Neutral?

Even Teraxil’s reclusive God of Knowledge was so disturbed that he specifically went to William to check out what skills were in this Toril-exclusive scholarly Profession, seemingly wanting to learn a bit.

Since William propagated education for so many years, his followers now included many ordinary people besides Mages and Priests.

The God of Knowledge in Teraxil was also looking for a new path for his followers.

Knowledge should also be a form of power, and he had so ideas already, having learned quite a bit from Oghma of Toril and now starting to experint in Teraxil.

As for the other Deities of Teraxil, they too visited the God of Ti and Space and learned that they too could grant exclusive Professions to their followers.

Even though it required a portion of Divine Power, it was better than letting the followers live for a few decades and then enter the Divine Kingdom.

So deities’ Divine Kingdoms are nearly full.

Without the Netherworld of Teraxil, these deities could not possibly allow their followers to walk the path of soul dissolution.

It may not be long before Teraxil, with its very limited types of professions, has many more professions to offer.

Hill couldn’t help but touch his forehead, recalling the gossip he had heard not long ago.

Mystra seed to have placed certain restrictions on specific spells of scholars, and moreover, Oghma enjoyed making direct contact with his priests. Mystra’s approach to limiting the influence of deities on the Main World had also greatly displeased the God of Knowledge.

He even went to the Weave to negotiate with Mystra, alerting even the Deity of Mages, but the discussion ended in disarray.

Since the gossip ca from Bards, its credibility was high.

After all, Miliel is a Lesser God under Oghma, always loyal and devoted.

He must have spread this intentionally, indicating his extre displeasure.

Keep in mind, they are all mbers of the Harpist Alliance.

William’s letter also ntioned that humanoid deities, probably except for the Beastn’s, were all involved in this matter; they were eager to cause so trouble for Mystra and her beloved Toril humans.

Not to ntion the Platinum Dragon King, whose calm silence last year signified nothing but suppressed rage.

William’s listing of professions, with their distinctly tal Dragons style, proved just how deeply involved Bahamut was; changes to physical structure were necessary to accomplish that.

Rembering how Suren, who always held humans in high regard, had grown discontent with them, Hill could only sigh gently.

Thinking that the Tablets of Fate and AO could really make humans the supre rulers of the Toril World, the human deities were too simplistic.

Or perhaps, as the manager of the Weave, Mystra still considered herself human.

No wonder Coron openly called her ‘Midnight,’ her successive downfalls were truly self-inflicted.

The Toril World was never solely for humans.

Every race that once dominated the world paid a heavy price.

The previous elves had also suffered heavy losses to defeat the Dragon Race; the Dragon Madness that ultimately led to the decline of the dragons sacrificed an entire mighty elven city and millions of elves within it.

Only then did elves beco the continental rulers after the Dragon Race.

Moreover, elves were neither as overbearing nor as mad as dragons and had no interest in occupying other continents; they simply excluded others.

This is why humans, a relatively weaker race, were able to thrive and grow significantly to this day.

It took only a thousand years for elves’ glory to end.

The reasons, in fact, were simple—just look at the upper-class elves who fled grey-faced to Eternity Island and still fought over power, and you’ll understand that decay and obstinance were the reasons for their downfall.

Since then, elves of the Elven Pantheon had already lost interest in responding to these elves’ calls, ignoring the upper echelons unless it was a matter of life and death.

Suddenly, Hill understood why Coron looked favorably upon the Elf Crusade.

They were indeed reckless and impulsive, with sowhat extre personalities, but each one was filled with pride and love for the entire elf race, willing to sacrifice themselves for the future of their race.

Coron once again saw hope in them, and thus, was willing to fan the flas.

The Elf Crusade would probably split into small teams in the future, venturing across the entire Ferun Great Land and even journeying to other continents under the protection of the Undead Tribe.

When they returned with an abundance of renown and followers, the Supre Forest should also be able to return to elven hands.

Now, apart from the devout followers of so Elven Gods still living in the center of the Puzzle Lock, the periphery is actually occupied by demonized animals, Demons, Devils, and Chromatic Giant Dragons.

The elven nobles who abandoned the Supre Forest, now on Eternity Island, have also been forsaken by both Coron and the Elven Pantheon.

And if humans and the human deities continue to bumble along, failing to handle relations with other races adequately, Coron might just lead the elves back onto the historical stage.

Sotis, the Tablets of Fate aren’t so reliable.

Hill did not believe they were strong enough to account for the changes brought by the Undead Tribe.

If they really had to be accounted for, it seems only a path of utter destruction awaited them.

Let AO wait for his regret!

Who made him look down on those Over Level Ten common Professionals, after all?

Hill looked up to the south; knowing Coron, Deepwater City would likely be the first stop of the Undead Tribe.

At the end of William’s letter, he kept stressing to Hill not to follow the Undead Tribe as in the past; the current Undead Tribe could only be considered a relatively strong force, not the overwhelming power that easily toppled any enemy faced before.

The elves once had a population of several billion, but due to scheming, only tens of millions were left.

The Undead Tribe wouldn’t fear these things, but Hill couldn’t afford to.

Hill sighed, only hoping that the Undead Tribe would soon cleanse the area around Sword Bay, and then he would sneak off to other continents.

Especially the Suolong Continent, which he was definitely going to visit.
