Upon hearing his words, the surrounding Beastn all shot Yuan Lang a knowing look. As Beastn, they all understood.
Only Wu Yue innocently believed him and obediently climbed onto the Beastman’s back.
"Teng Kun, have you noticed the General is getting more and more sly? We never saw it before, but that lion mane of his is actually pretty handso once it’s tidied up."
His tone was so sour, it was practically dripping with jealousy.
Nearby, Teng Kun also watched with envy as his General ran cheerfully with the young female on his back, his heart filled with nothing but jealousy.
’There’s only one cute young female, and she’s already been snatched up. My brother and I definitely don’t have a chance now.’
’A tiger’s life is so bleak...’
The group of Beastn ran swiftly through the forest. This was the first ti Wu Yue had traveled so far from the Snow Tiger Tribe. Gazing at the unfamiliar jungle around her, she realized the forest in her imagination was a far cry from reality.
The surrounding forest was dense, humid, and sweltering. After just a short while, she could feel the Beast Skin clothes clinging uncomfortably to her body.
Fine beads of sweat started to form on her face. ’It’s so humid!’
’There must be tons of snakes and bugs in a place this hot and humid.’ Taking a small packet from the basket at her side, she pinched out so white powder and sprinkled it over herself. A faint, dicinal aroma imdiately wafted into the air.
The Beastn’s sense of sll was extrely sharp. Twitching their noses, Teng Qian and Teng Kun scampered over to Yuan Lang’s side. They lifted their massive tiger heads to look at Wu Yue on his back. "Young female, what is that? It slls quite nice."
Wu Yue chuckled. "It’s an insect-repellent powder. This environnt is hot and humid, so there must be a lot of poisonous snakes and bugs. With this powder, you don’t have to worry. And..."
She shook the small packet in her hand. "The scent only lasts for a mont before it disappears, so it won’t affect your sense of sll."
This was incredibly considerate of Wu Yue. A few of the middle-aged Beastn nearby, who had been about to speak up, curled their lips into satisfied smiles instead.
’She’s a careful and thoughtful young female. It seems Yuan Lang has good taste.’
The group’s destination was clear. They all ran at full speed, heading for the heart of the Polar Forest.
"Do all the Fierce Beasts live in the center of the Polar Forest?"
Wu Yue asked in confusion.
Yuan Lang’s deep voice carried a hint of a smile; he was clearly in a good mood. "Yes, the most powerful Fierce Beasts live in the heart of the Polar Forest. They prey on other Fierce Beasts. Only the weaker ones live on the fringes near Beastman territory, feeding on common animals and Beastn."
"So, is your target for this hunt one of the more common Fierce Beasts?"
Yuan Lang nodded. "The few of us are still relatively weak, so a regular Fierce Beast Crystal Core will be enough."
Wu Yue nodded. "I’ve never seen a Fierce Beast before."
Yuan Lang chuckled. "You’ll get to see one this ti. Just be warned, Fierce Beasts are hideous. Try not to get scared."
Wu Yue let out a light hmph. "Well then, I’m looking forward to it."
The deeper they went into the Polar Forest, the scarcer the light beca. Eventually, Wu Yue could no longer tell whether it was Dayti or night.
It was then that she finally noticed sothing different about herself. The dim light didn’t affect her vision in the slightest; she could see her surroundings with perfect clarity.
’Damn system, don’t tell this body has so kind of weird superpower we don’t know about. I noticed it last ti in the Storage Cave; the dim light didn’t affect at all.’
