The thought of that King Kong Barbie who always caused trouble for his Host put the System in a terrible mood.
He looked down at his own perfectly stout figure. "Host, please don’t compare your cute System to Ye Duo, okay? You’ll hurt my feelings."

The corner of Wu Yue’s mouth twitched violently. She really couldn’t stand the System’s theatrics and quickly cut off his wandering train of thought.
"Turn in the Fierce Beast Crystal Core mission."
With business on the table, the System seamlessly switched into professional mode. "Congratulations, Host, on completing the mission and successfully obtaining the Fierce Beast Crystal Core. You are rewarded with 100 points and one Interdiate Body Strengthening Pill."
Wu Yue watched the display panel. The mont the System’s voice trailed off, the number of points on the screen changed.
At the sa ti, a familiar, small, unadorned porcelain bottle appeared in her hand.
The packaging was all too familiar. Recalling the effects of the last Basic Pill, Wu Yue couldn’t help but feel a surge of excitent.
A flush of excitent spread across Wu Yue’s face.
Suddenly, a thought occurred to her. "System," she asked, "taking too many of these Body Strengthening Pills won’t make end up like Ye Duo, will it?"
System: "..."
’Host, don’t you think you’re overthinking this a little...’
"Host, this is a System-produced pill that strengthens you from the inside. Your external appearance won’t change. Did you think this was protein powder or sothing?"
Wu Yue laughed awkwardly. "Haha... haha... I guess I was overthinking things."
She clutched the porcelain bottle. "I’ll take the pill in a bit. By the way, System, it’s not going to make stink to high heaven again, is it?"
The System sounded embarrassed. "Host, haven’t you read any web novels? The first round of strengthening always includes a bit of a Bone Marrow Cleansing effect. This ti it won’t, so rest assured and take it."
Although the damn System was a total cheapskate with her points, it had never dropped the ball when it ca to important matters. Wu Yue opened the porcelain bottle, tipped the pill out, and swallowed it.
A faint, sweet taste dissolved in her mouth, and a sudden wave of drowsiness washed over her.
The System, of course, knew about the pill’s sedative effect and readily took on guard duty. "Go ahead and sleep, Host. This System will provide complete protection."
Wu Yue knew that, just like last ti, this guard duty would probably last all night.
Even though the System was just a system, she still felt it was a little pitiful to leave the Little Commander all by himself.
Without a second thought, she transferred 10 points from her account to the System. "Go buy so snacks if you get bored."
The words had barely left her lips before she could no longer fight off the urge to sleep and passed out.
Only after sensing his Dog Host’s breathing even out did the System pinch his own chubby, bun-like cheeks in disbelief. "Holy shit! What kind of angel Host is this?"
He stroked his chin with a sly little look on his face. He’d finally figured out how to get points out of his Host.
All he had to do was be nice to the Host! He’d no longer have to live a life of scheming and scraping for every point.
This is aweso! It feels like my system-life has reached its climax! It feels like my system-life has reached its peak!
The next morning, the mont Wu Yue opened her eyes, she felt more clear-headed and refreshed than ever before.
"My dear Host, you’re awake! How are you feeling?"
Faced with this question, Wu Yue inexplicably felt as if she’d just walked out of so high-end, exclusive club.
’A random thought suddenly popped into her head. The System wasn’t about to ask, "Would the esteed guest like to sign up for a mbership?" was it?’
