Before she could finish, a very familiar, taunting voice ca from behind her. "You want embers? A lone female like you without a male’s protection isn’t allowed to get them."
Wu Yue rolled her eyes. ’For crying out loud, why do I have to run into this idiot Aya everywhere I go?’
The Beastman guarding the fire nodded. "The tribe does have this rule. Fire is too dangerous. A young female can’t get it by herself without a male for protection."
Aya leaned against the male Half-beastman behind her, looking at Wu Yue smugly. "I’m here for so embers, too."
The words had barely left her mouth when the guard let the male Half-beastman behind her pass. A mont later, he ca back out, carefully cradling a stone bowl that held a small, flickering fla.
Aya quickly went forward, cupping her hands around the bowl to shield the fla.
Seeing that Aya was too preoccupied to cause her any trouble for the mont, Wu Yue bid farewell to the Half-beastman guard and left.
’Are you kidding ? If I don’t leave now, am I supposed to wait around for Aya to co looking for trouble?’
Back in the cave, Wu Yue looked at the at on the stone slab and pursed her lips. ’It looks like I won’t be eating this at, after all.’
"Does the Host wish to expand the System Space?"
The System’s chanical voice rang out, and if one listened closely, it seed to hold a trace of exasperation.
Wu Yue: "..."
’Who am I? Where am I? What am I doing?’
She rubbed her nose sheepishly and asked the System in a low voice, "How big is my System Space?"
"The initial space is only one cubic ter. The Host can choose to use points to expand it."

"How are Yuan Lang and the others?" The speaker was a middle-aged Beastman who looked like a small mountain.
His deliberately lowered voice was a deep hum, heavy and tinged with restraint.
The surrounding Beastn were all dejected. Although they had managed to save the salt they had worked so hard to trade for, nearly half of them were severely injured.
When Yuan Lang and the others were found, they were lying amidst a pile of Fierce Beast corpses, soaked in blood and long since unconscious.
Looking at the three young Beastman Warriors, their breathing faint, the middle-aged Beastman sighed in anguish. "May the Beast God watch over the brave warriors of my Snow Tiger Tribe and help them pull through."
The conscious Beastn clutched the bundles in their arms tighter. Their tribesn had paid for this with their blood and their lives.
But at that mont, Yuan Lang felt as if his long-wandering soul had finally returned to its body. Intense pain swept over him. Just as he was about to speak, he sensed many unfamiliar presences around him and his eyes snapped open.
