Ye Duo’s wails had barely faded when a chorus of gasps and shocked cries rose from the crowd.
Hearing the commotion, Ye Duo stopped her wailing and looked around, only to see that all the tribe mbers were staring at her. A terrible premonition instantly gripped her.
She looked down at herself and saw ugly, twitching Poisonous Insects clinging to her chest, arms, and legs. Her eyes rolled back into her head, and with a choked gasp, she fainted.
Wu Yue, however, paid Ye Duo no mind. She simply turned to the crowd and announced, "As expected of a Witch Disciple, Ye Duo personally demonstrated the entire process of expelling the insects for everyone to see."
"But take note, everyone. Later, don’t just splash it directly like that. It’s enough to just dip a branch into the solution and flick it out."
"She is a Witch Disciple, after all. She deserves so special treatnt."
The tribe mbers were all clever; they all saw through Wu Yue’s little ploy. But they couldn’t bring themselves to feel any dislike for the young female, and they all laughed and played along.
Afterward, the tribe mbers took their share of the chili peppers from Wu Yue and went straight ho to exterminate the insects.
The Witch walked over to Wu Yue and the few Beastman Warriors who were packing up the chili peppers. "Yue, you can just put the rest of these herbs away."
Wu Yue glanced at the two remaining baskets of chili peppers, took one, and handed it to Yuan Lang beside her. Then she looked at the Witch. "Witch, I plan on taking this basket of herbs to the slaves. They’re part of the Snow Tiger Tribe too, so they’ll have Poisonous Insects on them as well."
Upon hearing this, the Witch frowned. "I had completely forgotten about them."
With a sigh, she looked at Wu Yue, Yuan Lang, and the other beastn. "The few of you go with her."
The beastn all agreed in unison.
Looking at the obedient Beastman Warriors standing behind Yuan Lang, Wu Yue couldn’t help but marvel. ’This guy transmigrated here after I did, and he’s already gathered so many followers.’

The group made their way to the thatched huts where the slaves lived.

At the sight of Wu Yue and the Beastman Warriors, the slaves inside the huts grew flustered.
The Beastman Warriors wore cold expressions, their attitudes toward the slaves clearly different from how they treated ordinary tribe mbers.
Wu Yue scanned her surroundings and spotted a few familiar faces in one of the huts. They were the slaves who had dug sweet potatoes with her last ti.
She smiled and waved at them. The slaves, who practically worshipped Wu Yue, scrambled to their feet and ran over without a mont’s hesitation.
"You... you were looking for us?"
The speaker was a man from Wu Yue’s forr, smaller tribe. His na was Chang Ye, and he was a very hardworking male.
Wu Yue motioned for Yuan Lang to set the basket he was carrying on the ground.
When the slaves saw the red herbs inside the basket, their shock was simply beyond words.
Chang Ye’s eyes grew red as he looked at Wu Yue. "You... is this..."
A suspicion ford in his mind, but he dared not believe it.
