Wu Yue looked down at the serene face of the Half-beastman Warrior, her heart aching with grief.
It was a familiar face—Shi Lin!
The kind, simple Half-beastman Warrior who had traded at for hemostatic grass and had even made her a bathtub and water bucket!
Her voice was raspy. "Let see him."
The female let go of her hand, resting Shi Lin’s head on her lap.
Wu Yue stepped forward and held a finger under his nose. There was indeed no breath.
Silence instantly spread through the tribe. No one had imagined that in the span of a single night, a Half-beastman Warrior would lose his life.
The female’s suppressed sobs started again, and Wu Yue’s heart ached in sympathy.

As it spoke, it furtively retracted a small, fleshy paw that had accidentally stepped on the Beastman’s blood-stained chest.
Wu Yue imdiately bent down, gathering a faint glimr of witch power in her palm and pressing it against Shi Lin’s blood-soaked chest.
Then, holding her breath, she focused and quietly sensed for any changes in the Half-beastman’s chest.
The female was about to say sothing, but Yuan Lang, who stood beside them, stopped her with a shake of his head.
Ti ticked by, second by second. Just as Wu Yue was about to give up, she suddenly felt a faint throb from the Beastman’s chest beneath her palm. Because she was sensing it through her witch power, the sensation was crystal clear, and her heart leaped with joy.
As everyone stared in shock, her entire palm was instantly enveloped in green witch power, and she pressed it onto Shi Lin’s chest.
As she channeled her witch power into him, Wu Yue could feel the Beastman’s heartbeat under her palm slowly growing stronger.
The female at their side cried out, her voice thick with emotion and choked with sobs. "My boy, he’s breathing! He’s alive... He’s alive... WAHHH..."
Wu Yue didn’t stop channeling her witch power. She only stopped when she felt her own reserves were nearly depleted.
She reached out to check Shi Lin’s breathing. The Beastman’s faint, slow breaths puffed against her fingers, making them tremble. ’This is the feeling of a life renewed.’
’She had saved this Half-beastman Warrior, the one who had shown her so much kindness.’
She rose to her feet and looked at the Clan Leader. "Their conditions have stabilized. We should get them into a cave as soon as possible. I’ll go prepare so witch dicine for them."
The Clan Leader’s chest heaved, as if he’d been holding his breath the entire ti.
A faint smile appeared on his normally stern face. "Go prepare the witch dicine. Leave the rest to ."
Wu Yue went straight to the witch’s cave to find the herbs she needed.
As soon as she stepped out, she saw that Yuan Lang, Teng Qian, and a few others had already set up a simple stove. A stone pot and water were ready and waiting.
Warmth spread through Wu Yue’s heart, and the grave expression she wore due to the two Half-beastman Warriors’ injuries softened considerably.
She set the herbs to boil, then sat to one side and entered a state of ditation.
