The system let out a deep sigh. "Host, have so confidence. Drop the ’apparently’."

’What the hell? I thought this cave was mine from now on, but you’re telling it’s just a temporary shelter?’

Seeing her stunned expression, Qingcao scratched her head. "Why don’t I go talk to Amu? You can co stay in our cave for now."

Qingcao sounded a little apprehensive as she spoke. In truth, her family’s cave was only about the sa size as the one Yue was living in.

It had only beco this spacious after her older sister had found her mates and moved out. If Yue joined them, they would probably have to sleep all squeezed together again.

"Qingcao, is your family’s cave very big?"

Qingcao chuckled, pointing at the small cave behind them where Wu Yue was staying. "It’s about the sa size as yours."

Wu Yue: "..."

Thinking about the number of people in Qingcao’s family, she decisively refused. "I’ll figure sothing else out."

Qingcao didn’t say anything else. Her family’s cave really was a bit too crowded.

"It’s not that difficult, actually," Qingcao said. "Yue, you could ask one of the males in the tribe to help you build a grass hut."

Wu Yue’s eyes lit up. "A grass hut?"

’A cave was still her first choice, but a temporary shelter would be fine too.’

Qingcao led Wu Yue to the Pure Humans’ residential area, a large settlent composed of grass huts.

Each grass hut was about the sa size, reaching only to her waist, so they weren’t very large. Walking past one, Wu Yue could even see a little Pure Human child sleeping spread-eagled inside.

The two of them wound their way through the huts until they reached a more open area near the edge of the tribe. Qinghua was standing in front of a grass hut, watching them approach.

Qingcao pointed to three connected grass huts. "This is my sister’s ho. She lives here with her partners."

Qinghua turned, pulled so dried grass from the hut, and spread it casually on the ground. "Have a seat."

In the few days she’d been here, Wu Yue had gradually gotten used to this uninhibited "seating arrangent."

"My sister has already told you, I assu? About the cave," Qinghua said, handing her a shriveled piece of fruit.

Wu Yue pressed her lips together. "Mhm."

She looked at Qinghua. "Why don’t you live in a cave? These grass huts are so small and low."

Given the height of the females here, even they had to stoop to get in and out, to say nothing of the males.

Qinghua froze for a mont, then gave a wry smile. "I’m not qualified to live in a cave."

Wu Yue stared, stunned. "What?"

’Qualified to live in a cave? What, do you need a license to live in a cave these days?’

Qinghua patted her arm. "The caves in the tribe are limited. Only Beastn, Half-beastn, the young, or those who have made great contributions to the tribe are qualified to live in them."
