"Captain, Uncle Dashi is hurt!" a beastman’s cry of alarm rang out, drawing everyone’s attention.
The middle-aged beastman, incomparably powerful just monts before, now sat leaning against a tree trunk, his face deathly pale. On his thigh was a wound as long as a beastman’s palm, from which bright red blood was gushing.
It slowly soaked the ground beneath him.
The surrounding tribesn’s faces were filled with sorrow. ’Such a severe injury... Even if the witch were here, it couldn’t be healed without a Beast Crystal...’p>
’Beast Crystal!’ At the thought, the handso middle-aged beastman partially transford. His sharp claws tore open the heads of several Saber-toothed Pigs, one after another. But to his disappointnt, he found no Beast Crystals.
Uncle Dashi’s consciousness was fading. He had lost too much blood.
Yuan Lang walked over, a vine clutched in his hand. He knelt beside Uncle Dashi and tightly cinched the vine above the wound on his thigh.
Everyone looked at Yuan Lang in confusion, wondering why he did that.
"The... the blood... it’s slowing down..." a beastman stamred. At his words, the surrounding tribesn all turned to look at Uncle Dashi’s wound.
Sure enough, the torrent of blood that had been gushing from the wound had now slowed.
Yuan Lang rose and looked to the man standing nearby—his predecessor’s father. "Did you bring any herbs?"
The handso middle-aged beastman shook his head. "No..."
Yuan Lang frowned. ’A soldier who’s fought on the battlefield should at least recognize a few simple herbs for external wounds. But the herbs of this world are vastly different from what I know. Not a single plant looks familiar, and I wouldn’t dare pick any at random.’
"Doesn’t that kid Shi Lin have so herbs?" a gruff voice spoke up. It was the beastman uncle who had arrived with the handso middle-aged beastman.
The handso middle-aged beastman’s eyes suddenly lit up. "Right! A few days ago, I heard that kid Shi Lin say he traded for so herbs from a young female in the tribe. He said they’re very effective for treating wounds."
"The sll of blood here is too strong. Let’s carry Uncle Dashi and regroup with the rest of the tribe."
Though it was best not to move Uncle Dashi given his condition, leaving was a far better choice than staying put and losing his life.
Hearing the sound of shuffling footsteps, Shi Lin and the others, who had been waiting anxiously, raised their Stone Spears and went on alert.
Not until a familiar scent reached their noses did the group relax and grow excited. "Our tribesn are back."
"I think I sll blood."
"Is one of our people hurt?"
Hearing this, Shi Lin imdiately took the small Beast Skin pouch from his chest and clutched it in his arms.
Yuan Lang appeared in the clearing, carrying the middle-aged beastman on his back. The crowd exclaid, "It’s Uncle Dashi!"
Shi Lin’s face went pale. He hurried forward and helped ease the unconscious Uncle Dashi down. "Father! Father!"
His voice was laced with anxiety, and he was so frantic he even forgot about the small Beast Skin pouch he was clutching, letting it drop by his feet.
The handso middle-aged beastman walked over and patted his shoulder. "Shi Lin, your Father is stable for now, but his injuries are severe. He needs dicine. Where are the herbs you brought?"
At these words, Shi Lin imdiately looked down and saw that the wound on his father’s thigh was still slowly oozing blood.
He quickly picked up the Beast Skin pouch at his feet. "The herbs are all here. I listened to the young female and ground them all into a powder. We just need to sprinkle it directly on the wound."
With that, he carefully opened the bundled-up Beast Skin pouch, and the beastn finally saw the herbs that Shi Lin had been protecting so carefully the entire way.
