The thought of obtaining the thod for building these stone houses, and perhaps even catching the eye of the Great Tribes, made him giddy. He could cultivate to a higher level, and live a much longer life!
He hadn’t even gotten his hands on the building thod yet, but the Scorpion Tribe Beastman Captain was already envisioning a glorious future where his beast patterns flourished and he beca the strongest Beastman Warrior on the Red Fla Plain.
He walked and laughed to himself, looking like a complete simpleton.
Not far off, Qingcao and Aya were sitting in a courtyard sorting wild vegetables. When they saw a Scorpion Beastman walking deeper into the tribe while giggling foolishly to himself, they exchanged strange looks.
"Aya, you don’t think that’s the ’crazy person’ Yue was talking about, do you? He doesn’t look right. Why is he giggling to himself like that?"
Qingcao nudged her friend with a finger.
Aya looked up just in ti to see the Beastman Warrior slap his own bulging chest muscles, a look of deep satisfaction on his face.
Her expression turned odd. "I think so. He was just pounding on his own chest, and he looked really pleased with himself afterward. He must be a crazy person."
Qingcao quickly dropped the vegetables in her hands and stood up, her face etched with worry. "Then we need to go get the patrol and have them get rid of him! Yue said crazy people are dangerous."
Aya nodded. "You keep an eye on him. I’ll go find the patrolling Beastman Warriors."
Because of the trade gathering, and since the visitors from the other tribes were all Beastman Warriors, the Snow Tiger Tribe’s patrol teams for the past few days were also made up entirely of Beastman Warriors.
Aya ran out the back gate and headed straight for the patrol team’s rest area, where there should be Beastman Warriors waiting for the next shift.
Sure enough, in the distance, she saw a few Beastman Warriors sitting around, roasting at and chatting as they ate.
One of the Beastman Warriors seed to spot Aya running toward them. He turned and said sothing to his companions, and they all looked over in her direction.
"Aya, what’s wrong?"
The young female looked frantic.
Aya ran up, panting. "You have to co quick! There’s a Scorpion Beastman in the tribe, just standing there scratching his head and slapping his chest. He’s just like the ’crazy person’ Yue told us about!"
A crazy person!
The Beastman Warriors’ expressions tensed instantly. They dropped the at in their hands and sprinted toward the location Aya had described. ’He has to be subdued imdiately,’ they thought. ’There are so many young cubs in the tribe.’
Watching the Beastman Warriors’ retreating figures, Aya breathed a sigh of relief. Her eyes landed on the roasted at left on a nearby stone table. She grabbed a piece and started gnawing on it as she walked back to Qingcao’s house.
"Let go of ! Why are you grabbing ? I’m a Beastman from the Black Wolf Tribe!"
Just as she reached the back entrance to Qingcao’s house, she heard an unfamiliar Beastman roaring. Aya chuckled. ’They must have caught that crazy Beastman.’
With that thought, she imdiately opened the courtyard gate and ran to the front, where she ran into a worried-looking Qingcao.
Qingcao visibly relaxed upon seeing Aya. "You’re finally back."
Aya puffed out her chest and patted it. "Don’t worry. I’m not a frail little chick like Yue. I’m sturdy."
Qingcao gave her a complicated look. "..."
’You? Your combat strength isn’t even a match for Yue’s little finger.’
The two of them peeked their heads out of the courtyard and saw the Scorpion Beastman warrior, already tied up, being led away by a group of the tribe’s Beastman Warriors. The one leading the group was surprisingly one of the older beastn.
’Looks like this Scorpion Beastman is pretty strong. The regular Beastman Warriors weren’t a match for him.’
By the ti Wu Yue and her group arrived at the Snow Tiger Tribe Leader’s courtyard, the sullen-faced Scorpion Tribe Beastman Captain had already been untied. He glared at the group of Snow Tiger Tribe Beastman Warriors across from him, his expression anything but friendly.
When Qingcao and Aya saw her enter, they imdiately sidled over and whispered conspiratorially in her ear. Wu Yue’s expression twitched as she glanced at the two of them.
’Should I call this a success or a failure?’
’I’ve taught them so much in the past, but these two were masters of selective hearing. They automatically filtered everything, absorbed all the bad lessons, and didn’t learn a single good one.’
"The Snow Tiger Tribe’s stone houses are different from ours, so I just wanted to co in and take a look. I never expected your tribesn to just grab like that."
The Scorpion Beastman had an expression on his face like he had been deeply wronged.
Wu Yue’s eyes narrowed at his words. ’Ca in to look at their stone houses?’
