Getting into the master bedroom, the first thing that she noticed was the queen sized bed which was quite large and seed very comfortable to sleep on. Then, there was a separate wardrobe room attached to it with an attached bathroom on one side, which was also quite large and had everything necessary already placed there.
She smiled slightly, cut open the boxes and took out all of her clothes, shoes, watches and other outfits and wearables and placed them neatly in the wardrobe.
Then, she went to the entry door and placed the daily use shoes to the dedicated shoe rack placed there. Afterwards, she also opened another room on this floor and took the computer parts, monitor and the gaming chair there and assembled it on an already existing desk in that room. She also assembled only a bed and a few other small pieces of furniture such as a small table and a small fancy chair in that room. She wouldn’t be using them anyway. They will just stay there as decorations.
After settling everything, she tossed the cardboard boxes into the utility room on this floor and ca back to the 2nd room where she had kept the computer and other things. From now on, this beca her gaming room. Though she wouldn’t be gaming, she does need the computer for sothing even more important.
It has high specs as the previous Bai Li was quite the gar herself. But she wouldn’t be using these specs for gaming, rather, she would use them as her monitoring hub after placing security caras all around her unit and building itself.
Bai Li had already had this idea from the mont she saw the computer in her room in the previous unit. After all, if she could place high quality security cams all around the building and maybe even outside, she would keep an eye on every place and when the apocalypse does start, she can imdiately check to see which routes have fewer zombies and are safer.
At this mont, a notification ca through her phone reminding her that the delivery of her food had arrived and was requesting permission to enter the compound and access to the 20th floor. She quickly gave the permission and access and sat down on the sofa, browsing weibo.
There were all kinds of news circulating online but not a single piece of news about the impending doom could be seen. It could be seen that people of this world are utterly clueless about what’s to co next.
She scrolled through weibo and ca across an interesting forum discussing zombie apocalypse movies and novels and what would happen if it were to happen in real life.
Curious, she tapped in.

As she sent the comnt, she closed the interface and just at that mont, the doorbell of her door rang. She went ahead, opened the door and took the order.
Sitting down on the couch, she dropped the plastic bag on the coffee table and stretched her legs out with a sigh.
She opened the bag and a strong sll of fried food and chili filled the room. Inside were a big box of spicy fried chicken wings, a small box of crispy fries, and a plastic container of stir-fried noodles with vegetables and sliced pork. There was also a cold can of beer rolling at the bottom of the bag.
"Perfect," she muttered.
She opened the noodles first, mixed them with the disposable chopsticks, and took a big bite. The sauce was salty and a little spicy, the noodles soft and hot. She chewed slowly, eyes half-closed, enjoying the taste like she hadn’t eaten in days. Then she grabbed a chicken wing, the skin golden and shiny with sauce, and took a huge bite. The crunch of the skin and the juicy at made her want to groan.
Grease shone on her lips, but she didn’t care. She licked her fingers one by one, then picked up a fry and dipped it into the leftover chili oil at the bottom of the chicken box, eating with full focus like this was a serious job.
Finally, she opened the can of beer with a sharp "click." Foam rose to the top. She took a long drink, the cold, bitter taste washing down the spicy food. Her shoulders relaxed, and she leaned back against the couch, alternating between noodles, chicken, fries, and sips of beer.
By the ti she was almost done, her stomach was warm and full, her mood soft and lazy.
