Every year, how many lords venture into the Wilderness for exploration, and only a handful manage to return?

Trying to establish a foothold in the perilous Wilderness is almost as difficult as ascending to the heavens.

Jem ntally prepared himself from the day Lear left Lorand City.

But he never expected to see him again.

And judging by his appearance, it seems he’s made significant achievents in the Wilderness.

"Lear... sir... you must have encountered quite a few hardships in the Wilderness, right?"

Jem had countless words in his heart, but in the end, he didn’t know what to say and could only utter a polite remark in a low voice.

Upon hearing this address, Lear raised an eyebrow slightly.

"Uncle Jem, just call by my na..."

"I faced many difficulties, but I overca them all."

It was just a bit of hardship...

It sounds easy, but with the high mortality rate of the Pioneer Lords, how can it possibly be simple?

Jem sighed deeply and said sowhat woodenly.

"Now that you have inherited the family’s title, I can no longer be as presumptuous as before... it would harm your prestige."

He recognized the reality, understanding that Lear calling him Uncle Jem was out of kindness and nostalgia, but continuing to treat him like a junior...

Even if Lear himself didn’t mind, what about his subordinates? Would they allow a lowly person from the slums to disrespect their Sovereign like this?

Lear remained silent upon hearing these words.

The sudden inequality in status made it impossible for their relationship to be as it once was.

He waved his hand.

"Let’s not talk about that. This ti, I’ve co to bring you back to the White Crow Comrce Association."

"You’ve spent enough ti in the slums; the warehouse of the comrce association needs soone trustworthy to oversee it."

Jem hesitated.

"Lord Lear, am I suitable?"

"Of course... the White Crow Comrce Association is my comrce association. If I say you are, no one will question it."

"Don’t overthink. Pack up your valuable belongings and co with ."

He held no affection for this disgusting slum; the only attachnt was the significant debt of gratitude he owed to Jem.

At this mont, laughter burst in from the door.

"Jem, what are you looking at? Could it be that the legendary Baron Lord has returned?"

"You really don’t give up, thinking it’s so easy to survive and return from the Wilderness? Even those backed by the grand nobles rarely succeed... stop daydreaming."

Jem’s face stiffened, and he turned around angrily.

"Shut up, you bastards! If you can’t speak properly, go drink more from the sewer and stop being an eyesore here."

The people outside still wanted to laugh, but saw a young man wearing a blood-colored Crown, carrying the deanor of an Empire noble, stepping out the door, with a glance sweeping across.

Everyone suddenly felt a chill all over, their legs going weak.

"L-Lear... sir?!"

Their voices carried a few degrees of incredulous shock.

The seven or eight people outside the house were all Jem’s co-workers, who had long worked with him at the docks, and had seen Lear before. They knew he had recklessly gone into the Wilderness for exploration.

Now, seeing this young man entirely different from his past self, they felt deep trembling awe and shock.

He actually ca back, becoming so extraordinary!!

This kind of aura, they rarely saw even on those noble lords.

Thinking of their earlier arrogance, they gulped hard, imdiately kneeling to the ground without any hesitation.

Their foreheads slamd against the floor.

"Sir, we ant no offense, we were just joking with Jem..."

"We beg your rcy..."

Their voices were filled with terror and unease.

Lear glanced at them without wasting words on these lowly characters from the slums.

"Uncle Jem, go pack up your things."

"And this house..."

"Don’t worry, it’s yours, no one can take it."

"I’ll have soone inform the person in charge of this street to look after our house."

Hearing this, Jem glanced at his fellow workers who were now all kneeling in terror from a single glare of Lear.

He nodded with a complex look in his eyes.

"Okay, I’ll pack up now."

He quickly and neatly gathered his belongings and stood behind Lear.

Lear didn’t hesitate, striding out.

Blando and Jem followed closely behind...

Watching their receding backs, the workers who were still kneeling finally dared to lift their heads.

They felt imnsely relieved.

Thank goodness they weren’t held accountable, or else, even if they were beaten to death, no one would care.

Coming back to their senses, they looked at the recently locked door, feeling a mix of emotions.

Jem really soared to great heights, huh.

They often teased him in the past, especially about Lear becoming a Lord.

They never expected that he would turn adversity into opportunity.

Alas... who can they bla?

If they had been a bit helpful to Jem when Lear was weak, perhaps today they might be taken along too.

Regret and envy simultaneously lingered in their hearts.

Leaving the alley, they boarded the carriage and headed straight back.

Lear was about to reminisce with Jem when he suddenly narrowed his eyes.

He pulled out a soft Silver Mask from his bosom.

With so surprise, he saw it emit a brilliant glow, as if holding a small sun in his hand.

The next mont, the silver light burst out, penetrating the carriage and shooting straight into the sky.

At the sa ti, within Lorand City, twelve similar beams of silver light also shot towards the sky.

In an instant, a sharp sound of shattering glass resonated.

Above the sky, a blurred crimson realm appeared.

Looking up, a semi-circular structure resembling a Beast Fighting Arena floated in mid-air.

Twelve sinister statues, half-human and half-beast, stood within, each towering over a hundred ters, baring their fangs and glaring ferociously at the Arena.
