As Lear approached, he saw a group of Zor Elves swaggering forward from a nearby line, blatantly cutting to the front.
The people behind them didn’t dare to utter a word.
Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed the sa scenario happening in other queues, with people frequently cutting in line.
So with higher levels and stronger powers even pushed the weaker ones back...
Underworld rules—the strong have everything.
Lear’s eyes flickered slightly, and he boldly stepped forward as well, moving straight to the front of the line.
Seeing this, those around didn’t even dare to breathe loudly, their eyes filled with fear and awe as they looked at Lear and the... Great Demon behind him!
Standing at 4 ters tall, with a highly destructive body and an aura of ferocity and brutality, this Level 16 Abyssal creature made them feel suffocated just by standing there.
Lear’s aura did not leak in the slightest, enveloped in a faint black mist, hiding any of his information from outsiders, but there was no need to express himself further.
The ferocious Great Demon was rely his humble servant, which said it all.
The person in charge of inspection was an ordinary Gray Dwarf Warrior, and upon seeing Lear, felt a shiver down their spine.
But still they forced themselves to stand tall.
The Wild Boar Knights behind also turned their attentive gazes towards this area, full of vigilance.
Demons, in the Underworld, were synonymous with madness and brutality, with few creatures more terrifying than them.
"Respected sir, welco. May I ask if your visit to Molten Iron City is for..."
"The Dark Auction."
A cold, raspy voice ca from within the mist.
The inspecting Gray Dwarf Warrior looked up, only able to see the faint black mist and a pair of eyes filled with majesty, oppression, and indifference.
In an instant, their body trembled, hastily retrieving a token from the side, offering it with both hands.
"This is the admission token for the auction, the last day of this month, please wait at the auction house in lted Iron Square..."
"Welco once again."
Speaking as he bowed deeply, his posture humble to the extre.
Lear did not reach out; the mist around him surged, taking the token over.
Then he didn’t look at the Gray Dwarf again, directly entering the city.
The Great Demon followed closely.
It was only after their figures disappeared did the Gray Dwarf responsible for inspection wipe the sweat from their forehead.
With a mixture of fear in their voice, they muttered under their breath.
"Damn it, that’s the 10th big shot we can’t provoke today... this auction is bound to cause big trouble!"
The ordinary Gray Dwarves had no knowledge of their higher-ups’ decisions; what concerned them now was the potential riot at month’s end.
Past Dark Auctions had not been peaceful, and if a battle were to break out, the average warriors like them might get caught in the crossfire.
Who wants to die when they’re living just fine...
"I hope the Chieftain can calm things down..."
With a deep sigh, he turned to look at the next person in line.
"You worthless mutt, hurry up!! If you dawdle, I’ll toss you into the pigsty to feed the wild boars today!"
...
Lear moved unimpeded through the deep city gates, stepping into this magnificent city.
Looking around, what t his eyes was a sea of buildings with a Gray Dwarf style, mostly crudely constructed structures.
Rugged, solid, were the best descriptors.
Their hallmark was that the outer walls were bonded with lted steel.
These buildings generally ranged between three to five stories, ten to twenty ters high.
In front of the main gate was a street over two hundred ters wide, teeming with Underworld creatures.
It was like a small barrel filled with thousands of fish, densely packed together.
Creatures from around Furnace City seed to be converging here... with destruction looming, anxiety was driving these beings to seek the protection of the strong.
But they probably didn’t know that the city’s owner was also preparing to flee.
At this mont, Lear’s peripheral vision caught sight of a trembling cave dweller coming forward with a submissive smile.
Fidgeting with their hands and occasionally glancing back.
Their legs were unsteady.
"Honored sir, do you need a guide? I’m very familiar with this place..."
Cave dwellers, cousins to the Troglodytes, one living in surface caves, the other in underground caves.
Both appeared similar, with pale skin for Troglodytes and gray for cave dwellers.
Lear looked in the direction from which he ca, spotting a group of gnos and goblin-like weakling creatures behind.
But none dared to step forward; only this one mustered the courage.
"Where can I find a hotel to stay? Close to the Dark Auction..."
Hearing his response, the cave dweller imdiately bead with joy.
"Right over there, please follow ... would you like to call a carriage?"
Lear nodded.
"Go ahead."
The cave dweller eagerly hailed a carriage from outside.
Interestingly, it wasn’t drawn by ordinary horses, but by a two-ter-tall wild boar.
Unlike those Wild Boar Cavalry, this wild boar did not have tusks.
After respectfully leading Lear onto the carriage, the cave dweller prepared to run alongside.
Lear, amused and exasperated, waved for him to get on.
After repeated confirmations, he hesitantly climbed aboard, glancing frequently at the Great Demon, his face nearly overflowing with worry and fear.
Afraid that the demon might devour him in one bite.
Lear utilized his magical energy, isolating the surrounding space.
He looked at the cave dweller, whose body was filled with anxiety.
