Now reading: Chapter 85 - 76: The Allure of Otherworldly Culture, Overwhe from Swamp Lord with an Intelligence System, a Eastern novel by Carp Blowing Bubbles.

Returning to the territory, the sky was already dotted with starlight.

Bain, who had been waiting for a long ti, imdiately ca out to greet him.

"Good evening, my lord."

"Any gains today?"

Lear briefly inford the other of the anomalies discovered today, and finally said,

"We need to strengthen the vigilance towards the south in the coming days."

Bain’s heart tightened.

"Cultists are a bunch of lunatics, so have even completely lost their minds."

"And since they’ve already completed so many sacrifices, their appetite is bound to grow."

"Weilu City will be discovered sooner or later... we need to prepare in advance."

Lear took a deep breath.

"Indeed, I will continue my investigations tomorrow..."

"As long as we can find the enemy’s whereabouts, we’ll be able to handle it."

It’s the unknown that’s most terrifying.

After the brief communication, Bain left with a bit of gravity, starting to instruct his n to strengthen the guards.

Lear didn’t stay long either and returned to his tent.

But just as he sat down, a Swamp Boggart ca to inform him of good news.

After a whole day of rehearsing, they decided to perform Roo and Juliet tonight.

Seeing this, Lear beca interested too.

He told them to seek Bain’s assistance.

The Swamp Boggart eagerly went away...

As night fell, the group of people who finished dinner prepared to rest as usual.

But soon soone sharp-eyed noticed Bain directing about twenty people, setting up wooden scaffolding in front of the unfinished City Hall.

They made a two-ter-high wooden stage.

The Vine Fairy controlled so vines to extend and set the foundation, placing boards on them and binding them firmly with vines.

A rough but sturdy stage that wouldn’t collapse was thus built.

The chubby fairies flapped their wings, each taking a spot atop the stage.

Sitting on a vine that crossed above the stage, the light emanating from them was like small suns.

The crowd, having eaten and with nothing to do, gathered curiously, chatting away.

They had no idea what was happening.

Soon after the stage was built, a Deltha person cautiously stepped onto the stage, took a deep breath, and mustered the courage to loudly say to the crowd below:

"Dear residents, today is the debut performance of the Weilu City Drama Troupe."

"Starring the esteed Swamp Boggarts—Mar, Mani, and Mana as leads."

"The play—Roo and Juliet."

After announcing, the Deltha person bowed and left the stage with trembling legs.

In the next mont, the surrounding light suddenly dimd.

The Vine Fairy extinguished its light.

In an instant, a soft hum echoed in everyone’s ears.

The narration of the story began alongside the song.

"Hundreds of years ago, in the royal capital of the Griffin Empire, there were two great families—the Montague family and the Capulet family."

"These two families were bitter enemies, Roo was the heir of the Montague family..."

With the gentle narration, the stage suddenly lit up.

The Vine Fairy lit itself up again at this mont.

The crowd below the stage had not yet returned to their senses when they saw a noble figure, elegantly dressed, and walking with head held high, move slowly to the center of the stage.

At this mont, everyone’s attention was captivated.

Roo was played by one of the Swamp Boggarts, nailing the character’s deanor perfectly.

Everyone imdiately knew this was the protagonist...

Then seven or eight more Deltha people dressed similarly, holding steel sabers, ca onto the stage.

But the clothes, once changed, looked completely different.

Straight, proud.

Their expressions were also calm and composed.

In the opening scene, a fight broke out between the two families, right from the start.

Though it was all in performance, the audience watched intently.

This form was too novel and interesting.

While the crowd watched the spectacle, Lear saw through it. The Deltha people on stage were completely under the control of the Boggarts.

Though it seed lively, ten or more people were performing for each other.

Yet behind the scenes, the entire play was in the hands of three Swamp Boggarts.

Lines, expressions, movents.

It was entirely a drama of three people.

However, to outsiders, it didn’t seem like that at all. The characters on stage were nurous, not appearing monotonous.

The props were a bit plain, but for those who hadn’t seen theater, how would they know what was plain, wasn’t this designed this way?

Especially with the alluring power of the Boggarts’ singing.

The audience was entranced the mont the protagonist appeared.

With the highs and lows of the plot, they laughed at tis, felt angry at others, then sweet, and then sorrowful.

The three swamp banshees felt the surging, unprecedentedly rich emotional feast and perford with even more enthusiasm.

As they devoured continuously, their aura gradually heightened.

The further the story progressed, the more intense the crowd’s reactions beca.

When the turning point of Juliet being married off and Roo being exiled by the Juliet family arrived, a trendous climax erupted.

Everyone was furious, eagerly anticipating a change in the plot.

The terrifying emotional feast nearly drove the swamp banshees mad.

When the priest proposed Juliet feign death to avoid her family’s forced marriage and then leave with Roo, the excitent and anticipation soared to new heights.

Wave after wave, without any pause.

It was the first ti the swamp banshees experienced the feeling of being overfed.

As the storyline gradually approached the end, the crowd nearly went mad.

Completely following the perforrs on stage.

Juliet drinks the potion to feign death, but the ssenger delayed delivering the ssage to Roo.

Upon seeing the seemingly dead Juliet, believing his beloved truly gone, Roo, in despair, gives her a final resolute kiss and drinks the poison, collapsing in her arms.

At that mont, tears uncontrollably gushed from the crowd.

Lear could clearly sense that the aura of the three swamp banshees surged at that mont.

Their level soared from Level 3 to Level 5!!

The surging emotions almost beca the top-tier magic potion, bringing them a substantial boost.

But it wasn’t over yet. Juliet, waking to find her beloved dead in her arms due to a misunderstanding, in utter grief and anger, draws a sword and takes her own life.

A desperate tragedy of mutual love, yet ultimately dying in each other’s arms, caused another audience explosion.

The just-upgraded swamp banshees rose from Level 5 to Level 6 again.

Moreover, the continuous waves of emotion kept enhancing their aura.

Originally, the play’s ending was that the two families realized the nature of hatred through the death of their heirs, dissolving their animosity.

It served as so consolation for the audience regarding the couple’s deaths.

But Lear directly removed that ending.

The final scene was just the deaths of the two.

Striking where the pain is most profound.

Powerful resentnt, unwillingness, and grief ca wave after wave.

After the vine fairy on stage slowly dimd her lights.

With the swamp banshees’ song ceasing, the audience below still remained imrsed in this unparalleled tragedy, reluctant to erge.

It was too painful!

From their initial encounter and courtship, the sweetness they brought was intense, and their final deaths in each other’s arms were equally painful.

The audience experiencing a theatrical baptism for the first ti felt an unprecedented impact.

Even when Deltha returned on stage to announce the end.

The crowd was unwilling to disperse, frantically discussing the performance.

Their dissatisfaction with the couple’s final separation grew.

Anger flared at the delayed ssage from the ssenger, and there was hatred towards the families that obstructed them.

Every discussion and anger continued to generate emotions...

Even different views among so led to richer emotions through debate.

Backstage, the three swamp banshees looked at Lear with eyes sparkling like they could drip water.

"Master, you’re truly amazing!!"

The tone held genuine admiration.

They had been worried before, but the effect proved to be hundreds of tis stronger than when they lured people into fear and then killed them!

Killing soone creates intense fear in a short ti, but it passes in an instant.

Moreover, it involves a single emotion, quickly numbing the victim.

But now, joy, anger, sadness, almost all emotions are included.

Before, it was like eating a single-nu diet, only one type of food, but now, it’s like enjoying a rich feast with hundreds of dishes.

That feeling is completely different.

And the key is... it’s not a one-ti thing.

After the performance, there’s still a continuous, undiminished emotional fluctuation compared to during the show.

Hearing the enthusiastic discussions, the heat won’t decrease for the coming days.

This is simply perfect!!

Praise be to the master!!!

Lear smiled knowingly.

"Achieving this effect in the first performance is already very good."

"But we should strive for perfection. You must have noticed the issues during the performance."

"Improve them, see what can attract attention, and what distracted the audience; you should have a direct understanding."

"Fix the undesirable parts and strive to refine a perfect script."

"In the future, the Weilu City Drama Troupe will beco our ace!"

Couldn’t culture from another world stir up a frenzy?

These banshees, whose level has already surged to Level 6, may soon reach their potential limit... Level 12!

With the swamp banshees at Level 3 capable of easily unsettling the enemy’s will on the battlefield, what effect will they have at Level 12?

He eagerly anticipated how alluring the swamp banshees’ songs would be then.

Once they are nurtured, there are countless possibilities for action.
