“You–!” Hearing Ling Tianya jibe at her like that, Ruan Lijia’s face flushed red with anger. Just as she was going to explode, Ruan Zeyan’s death glare pinned her to the spot, scaring her into silence. All she could do was to glare at Ling Tianya.
With Ruan Lijia being snide, everyone got even more curious about Ling Tianya’s gift.
Ling Tianya stood up, taking the box from Du Gang, before returning back to Madam Ruan.
The disappointment still shone in Madam Ruan’s eyes when she saw the box, but all she did was laugh and show her anticipation. “I will like anything that the Ling Tianya gives me!”
Right then, some people had already scoffed at Ling Tianya’s gift. Others had given qipaos, and she was gifting a qipao too; there was absolutely no sincerity in it. Besides, looking at the box, even though the logo was the same, it was clear that the design wasn’t as elegant as the one Mrs. Ruan had gifted earlier. It didn’t even pare to the boxes that other people had gifted.
