I missed you to death!” An Ping excitedly pounced and hugged An Hao tightly, “Oh sis, if you hadn’t co back, Dad and I wouldn’t have made it.”

“What happened now?” An Hao pushed An Ping away, “You’re an adult, stop with all the hugging.”

“You think I’m worried that my brother-in-law will get jealous, right?” An Ping laughed heartily, “I really want to see how this jealous jar of a brother-in-law would feel about his little brother-in-law!”

“Enough nonsense!

You just said you couldn’t live if I didn’t co back!

Why?” An Hao asked.

“Isn’t it almost New Year’s?

The house isn’t cleaned, and there’s no one to steam buns, make tofu, rice cakes, or wrap bean buns.

Most importantly, during New Year’s, all these offices and companies stop buying vegetables.

Isn’t it ti to sell our vegetables?” An Ping said cheerfully.

“So you were just waiting for to co back and work?” An Hao frowned, raised her hand, and smacked An Ping’s forehead, “Don’t get your hopes up this year.

You’re going to work while I supervise!”

“Ah?

I hoped for nothing then!” An Ping imdiately deflated like a punctured ball.

“Enough, your sister has had a tough year!

She finally had a chance to relax, so you and I will do the chores,” An Shuchao said as he rolled up his sleeves, “Co on, wash your hands for dinner!”

It had been a long ti since they had eaten the food An Hao cooked.

The father and son enjoyed the delicious steaming noodles with a couple of garlic cloves, utterly delicious.

While eating, An Ping asked An Hao, “Sis, what did you do at ho this morning?”

“I cleaned the house, the pigsty!

Plus cooking and feeding pigs.”

“We don’t raise pigs, where’s the pigsty coming from?” An Ping asked puzzled.

“What else could that west room be if not a pigsty?” An Hao said, barely holding back her laughter.

“Cough, cough!” An Ping almost choked, “Sis, that’s not nice to make fun of like that!”

“What else could your room be if not a pigsty?” An Shuchao couldn’t stand it anymore, “I’ve told you so many tis to clean it!”

“I’ve been too busy taking care of business!” An Ping said nonchalantly.

“Is that an excuse?

Am I not busy too?”

In business matters, An Ping and An Shuchao split their responsibilities: An Ping was out dealing with clients and delivering vegetables, while An Shuchao busied himself in the greenhouse, never a mont to himself.

“It’s not working for all of us to be busy!

Shouldn’t there be a woman in the house?” An Ping pondered, “Dad, why don’t you find a stepmom?

This ti we’ll help you pick soone reliable.”

“No way!

Haven’t you had enough suffering from stepmoms?

I’ve decided, in my later years, I’m relying on you!

You find a reliable daughter-in-law!” An Shuchao said.

According to the legal age, An Ping wasn’t yet ready to marry, but kids his age in the village were already in relationships.

So, it was ti An Ping found soone too.

“I…

don’t worry about , I still have ti!” An Ping bowed his head, shoveling noodles into his mouth rapidly.

Seeing him like this, An Hao knew this kid must have soone in mind, why else would he act like that?

“Tell your sister, who is this girl?

Let help you with so advice!” An Hao asked with a smile.

“What girl?

Don’t be ridiculous!

Finish your food!” An Ping’s face turned red, and he turned away holding his bowl.

After dinner, An Ping wiped his mouth and vanished into his room.
