Chapter 1390: Chapter 1390: Give You So Courage
Since she had spotted so bloody show, it looked like she might give birth today.
After the bloody show, there’d still be so ti before her water broke; she could take advantage of the mont to have breakfast and pack up her things for the hospital.
An Hao tidied herself up in the restroom, then shut the door to head downstairs for a al.
She couldn’t see the steps at all now and was descending purely by feel. In fact, ever since her belly had begun to swell, Zhang Yun had been worried that she might trip; she had suggested more than once that they switch bedrooms.
But An Hao thought it was fine for a pregnant woman to climb stairs.
When she ca downstairs, Zhang Yun had just set the breakfast table.
All the n had gone to the army camp, leaving just the two of them at ho.
“Why don’t you sleep a bit more? How are you feeling today?” Zhang Yun asked.
“Mom, I noticed the bloody show earlier. I think the baby is coming.”
“Bloody show? There’s a good chance you’ll have the baby today! Hurry up and eat, and after breakfast, we’ll head to the hospital. I’ve already reserved a bed for you; it’s better to go early,” Zhang Yun said as she served An Hao her al.
After breakfast, Zhang Yun packed things up and went with An Hao to the hospital, to the maternity ward on the fourth floor.
The doctor examined An Hao, her water hadn’t broken yet, and there was so ti to go until delivery, so she was told to wait calmly for the labour to start.
Ti in the hospital was tough to endure; An Hao lay in her hospital bed reading while Zhang Yun flitted about fetching water and als. Noon passed and there was still no sign that An Hao was about to give birth.
Neither Ning Yibin nor Qin Jian had co back even after noon.
Zhang Yun kept calling ho over and over, frantic like ants on a hot pan: “Neither of these two is any use. The baby’s about to co, and they’re still not here.”
An Hao, on the other hand, was not in a hurry: “Mom, don’t worry. After the bloody show, it could still be between twenty and forty-eight hours before the water breaks and the contractions start. Besides, even if they did co back, they wouldn’t be much help! You know military life isn’t flexible, so let’s not complain about dad and Qin Jian.”
“People are different. So may get contractions after twenty-four hours, and so may not. When I had Qin Jian, I started having contractions and my water broke shortly after the bloody show. You mustn’t be careless,” Zhang Yun said out of concern, as she had been negligent then, which had nearly caused complications during delivery.
“Even so, having those two n here would be pointless,” An Hao thought, since giving birth was sothing she had to do herself.
“You really are strong,” Zhang Yun said, amused by her daughter-in-law, “I asked Qin Jian to co to keep you company and bolster your courage. Having a man by your side at a ti like this makes a difference. I asked your dad to co to give courage; truth be told, I’m more nervous than you are about the birth!”
An Hao chuckled; she found her mother-in-law quite charming at tis.
“Mom, don’t worry! I’ll be strong.”
“I believe you. Once you give birth, I’ll find a way to properly thank you,” Zhang Yun said, holding An Hao’s hand.
“What are you talking about? This is my child too… ah…” An Hao hadn’t finished her sentence when her expression changed.
“What’s wrong? Have the contractions started?” Zhang Yun asked hastily.
An Hao felt a fluid uncontrollably trickling out between her legs, quickly followed by contractions: “Mom, my water broke. It’s really ti for birth.”
Although An Hao had ntally prepared herself, when the mont arrived, she was still a bit panicked.
