“Old man, what on earth happened?” An Hao stepped forward to ask.
“An Hao, didn’t Qiushu visit your house today? She hasn’t returned ho yet, and I ca to ask if she’s at your place?” the old man said.
“She hasn’t returned by now? That’s impossible, she left not long after lunch?”
“What? It’s been such a long ti since she left your place, but she still hasn’t co back!” The old man was very anxious, his voice trembling a bit.

“No, that’s not possible.” The old man said very certainly, “If she had sothing co up on her way, she would have co back to tell first.”
For many years, Lin Qiushu would always let her family know whatever she was doing.
She would never just leave without saying a word.
Even if she had to go out for evening engagents, she would tell her family where she was, roughly when she would return, and whom she would et.
This was the first ti she had encountered such a situation.

Qin Jian asked.
“I’m sure!” the old man replied.
“Then where might she possibly go?” An Hao calmly analyzed, “Did she ntion any other errands before she left your place?” “Yes.” The old man said, “She had already gotten the address of Wang the cripple. She insisted on visiting Wang the cripple’s house this morning, and despite my repeated discouragent. That person, Wang the cripple, is no good at all. I’m really worried that, what if Qiushu runs into trouble!”
“It shouldn’t co to that. Wang the cripple is old now, and besides, Qiushu is so clever; even if she went to find him, she wouldn’t directly expose her intentions, right?” Qin Jian felt this possibility was quite small.

“I’ll co with you.” The old man was not at ease.

Just wait at ho for our news.” An Hao supported the old man’s arm, helping him into the car, “Don’t worry, she is my good friend, and I will do my utmost to help her just like she has helped .”

The old man took the car back, and Qin Jian and An Hao walked ho.
“What do you think? Where could Qiushu possibly be?” An Hao looked up at Qin Jian and asked.
His sharp brows furrowed: “Since the old lady provided a clue, I might as well check out Wang the cripple’s house first.”
“Then I’ll co with you.” An Hao imdiately said.
“It’s getting late, better you stay ho and take care of the kids.”
Qin Jian disagreed with her going.
“But… I’m really worried about her now.”
“I understand how you feel.” Qin Jian hugged An Hao’s shoulders, bringing her into his embrace, “You have to trust !”
