"Fine. Let’s leave it up to the child to decide then." Qin Jian would still respect An Hao’s opinion on this matter.
While An Hao and Qin Jian were talking, Little Chenyang accidentally dropped his apple slice. When his chubby fingers reached for it, Qin Jian beat him to picking it up.
"Co on! Call daddy! If you call daddy, I’ll give the apple to Little Chenyang, how about that?" Qin Jian teased him.
Chenyang looked at Qin Jian, tilting his head without uttering a single syllable, just waving his little hands insistently at Qin Jian.
"Speak! Even making a sound would be good."
But no matter how Qin Jian teased, Chenyang just wouldn’t speak.
Qin Jian couldn’t help but frown and said to An Hao, "Why doesn’t the child speak?"
"He’s only a few months old, how could he speak? You’re too anxious." An Hao glared at him.
"Even if he doesn’t speak, shouldn’t he make so noise? But this child doesn’t even grunt. Could he be mute?" Qin Jian said anxiously.
"Don’t talk nonsense. Are you throwing a tantrum here? The child’s cries at birth were so loud that they could have lifted the roof, how could he be mute?"
Qin Jian thought about it and indeed it was true.
He got a bit carried away just now.
However, Qin Jian indeed noticed a problem; as Chenyang grew older, he beca quieter, hardly crying as much as before.
Chenguang’s situation was a lot better.
"But, look at Chenyang, he hardly ever cries or makes a fuss. Could there be sothing wrong?" Qin Jian said on the few days he managed to co ho early from his busy schedule.
Whenever he played with the child these rare tis, he noticed this issue.
"It won’t be." The child was very healthy when born, An Hao just thought the child might have taken after Qin Jian’s temperant, being less talkative.
"Let try again." Qin Jian once again took the apple slice from Chenyang’s hands and observed the child’s reaction.
As a result, Little Chenyang looked at him, completely ignoring Qin Jian, and stretched out his little hand towards An Hao asking for the apple.
Seeing her son’s longing eyes, An Hao finally couldn’t help but give him a slice.
No sooner had Little Chenyang gotten the apple in his small hand than Qin Jian took it from him.
"Enough, can’t you see? The child is about to cry." An Hao felt sorry for Chenyang, seeing how difficult it was for a child of just over seven months to eat an apple, with his little eye rims already turning red and his lips beginning to purse downward.
An Hao guessed that if this happened again, the child would definitely cry.

But, the situation Qin Jian anticipated didn’t happen. When he took the apple from Chenyang’s hand again, the little fellow suddenly got angry and scratched his face fiercely with his little hand.
Suddenly, two lines of blood marks appeared on his face.
Qin Jian was stunned, he hadn’t expected his son to suddenly lash out and scratch him.
"Oh no, it’s broken! You’re bleeding!" An Hao was also shocked, "You were actually scratched by your own son."
"I didn’t expect him to strike so quickly!" Qin Jian said while wiping his face.
"Let help disinfect that for you." An Hao stood up to fetch sothing.
She had only taken a few steps when she heard a loud cry; she rushed back and saw Qin Jian clutching the apple slice tightly in his hand, which Chenyang couldn’t snatch away, and he had started to cry.
The sound was exceptionally loud.
Qin Jian finally breathed a sigh of relief, then replaced the apple slice and handed it to Chenyang, gently saying to him: "Call daddy!"
