"Not him?" Lin Qiushu was startled. "If not him, who could it be? Did the person delivering the cake leave his na?"

"The cake was sent by Mr. Hou from downstairs. He said he’s your friend," the waiter serving the dishes said.

"How did he know it’s the old lady’s birthday?" Lin Qiushu was very puzzled. "I never told him about it."

"Maybe we... accidentally let it slip?" the waiter said embarrassingly.

"It’s alright, just set the cake down and you guys can leave," Lin Qiushu instructed.

"Okay."

The cake was placed in the center of the table, and Lin Qiushu unwrapped the package to reveal the cake.

This cake was very big, double-layered, with two large longevity peaches on the top layer, which looked very vivid in color.

"As expected of a businessman, this Boss Hou really puts in effort," Grandma Xiao said.

"Qiushu, go down and invite Mr. Hou to co up and have a couple of drinks. We can’t just receive a gift without showing so appreciation," Qiushu’s mother said.

"Okay, I’ll go now," said Lin Qiushu, getting up and going downstairs.

The two little ones, probably seeing a birthday cake for the first ti, were very excited.

They hopped with their little bodies, trying to get a closer look.

Don’t think that at seven months, fed plump by An Hao, they don’t have strength in their bodies. Without so strength, you really couldn’t hold them down.

"Co, co, co, let’s bring it over to my two little treasures," Grandma Xiao said with a smile.

Qin Jian stood up and moved the cake in front of the two treasures.

An Hao and Zhang Yun each held a child in their arms.

The two little ones, seeing the cake, happily hopped. As a result, in an accident, Zhang Yun didn’t hold the child firmly, and Little Chenyang in her arms lunged forward, diving towards the cake.

Consequently, the cake turned into a sorry sight in an instant.

White cream sared over Little Chenyang’s face and body; the child had never experienced such a shock.

About to cry with his mouth opened slightly, his little tongue stuck out and accidentally tasted the white cream.

A rich, sweet flavor spread on the tip of his tongue.

Chenyang moved his round eyes and, instead of crying, his mouth opened into a smile.

So, he brought his cream-covered hand to his mouth and began sucking on it with gusto.

"Oh my, my little ancestor, you really scared to death," Zhang Yun breathed a sigh of relief, seeing the child wasn’t hurt.

Little Chenyang, Little Chenguang saw their brother’s antics and thought it seed fun.

Perhaps while An Hao was holding him and digging for a handkerchief in her pocket, the child lunged suddenly towards the cake too.

Luckily Qin Jian was quick and caught Little Chenguang’s foot with one hand.

That prevented the little one from crashing onto the table with a bang.

If Little Chenguang had lunged and hit the table, the entire al couldn’t have been eaten and he would most likely have gotten burned.

Little Chenguang happily tasted the cake and imdiately laughed gleefully.

Seeing they weren’t hurt, the whole family breathed a sigh of relief.

But the cake was uneatable, so they quickly cleaned it up before Mr. Hou arrived.

Otherwise, it would be too embarrassing for him to see it.

Just when they had finished cleaning up and changed the clothes of the two little ones,

the door clicked open, and Lin Qiushu led Mr. Hou upstairs.

As soon as he entered, he greeted the old lady with a beaming smile: "I wish you happiness as vast as the Eastern seas and a life as long as the Southern mountains!"
