“What? The forr Gan Tian? If she was killed, she might have already turned into a skeleton by now. Even if we find her, there’s no way to confront her.”
An Hao patted his head, very frustrated, and said, “Look at my head, I’ve actually overlooked this! So it seems, we can only let her roam free.”
“That might really be hard to say,” Qin Jian’s frown deepened, “However, she won’t be able to stay in the army for much longer.”
“What do you an?”
“Her military service term is already over! As long as she’s not promoted, she must retire and go ho. This could dismantle her plan to remain undercover, right?”
“It’s just frustrating that we can’t expose her true colors, it makes feel quite oppressed,” An Hao said.
“I feel the sa way! But as long as she makes a move, over ti, she’ll definitely slip up. We’ll find evidence for sure! Don’t worry, it’s just a matter of ti!”
“Hmm.” An Hao nodded.
“So… will you still go to the army with ?” Qin Jian asked.
“No,” An Hao shook his head, “Since we can’t get evidence, going is pointless. Worse, it might make her more alert, making it even harder to catch her later.”
“Alright. If you’re not going, I’ll head to the army. Are you going to the hospital today or resting at ho?” Qin Jian asked An Hao.
“I’ll go to the hospital to have a look. It’s been a while…”
“Be careful on the way.”

Qin Jian returned to the army and had just sat down when a call ca in from the military departnt.
Qin Jian answered the call, and his superiors required him to rush to the military departnt for a eting imdiately.
After he hung up, a call from the division headquarters ca through.
“Qin Jian, did you get the call?” Zhang Jianguo asked.
“I received it, they asked for a eting at the military departnt,” Qin Jian replied.
“Good. Since you got the call, hurry up and go!” Zhang Jianguo urged.
Qin Jian was a bit puzzled: “Commander, this call is suspicious!”
“What’s suspicious about it?”
“They only said to co for an ergency eting, arrive within half an hour. It’s urgent and yet no details about the eting were disclosed…” This sort of thing hardly happens, hence Qin Jian felt sothing was off.
“Don’t ask what you shouldn’t over the phone. If they call a eting, just go! We’ll see you at the military departnt in half an hour!” Zhang Jianguo said.
“Yes!”
Qin Jian hung up the phone and went to the military departnt.
Outside the general’s office
Qin Jian saw Zhang Jianguo, with a cigarette in hand, pacing back and forth.
“Commander, just you and ?” Qin Jian saluted and then asked.
“Yes! Just you and .”
“Commander, what’s going on here? Now that it’s just the two of us, can you tell ?” Qin Jian asked quietly.
“I want to know too, but I don’t know either. I got here a bit earlier than you, soone’s inside the general’s office, and I don’t know what they’re discussing.” Zhang Jianguo felt puzzled too; this was the first ti he’d encountered such a situation.
The two were speculating here.
Suddenly they heard General Guan inside say, “Let the two of them co in.”
Soon after, the door opened, and the general’s aide ca out.
“Commander Zhang, Captain Qin! The chief asks you both to co in!”
Zhang Jianguo and Qin Jian exchanged a look and walked in together.
