"Hua Jin! We’ve grown up together, we’re childhood sweethearts! Do these ten-plus years of being together an nothing compared to the few months you’ve known An Hao?" Yuan Yunong’s eyes reddened, tears of anger and despair slowly stread down her cheeks.
"Stop those tears." Hua Jin slowly let go of Yuan Yunong’s hand, "If you keep making such a fuss and drawing everyone’s attention to us, you’ll be in trouble! Yuan Yunong bit her lower lip, forcing her emotions back. It took her a while to barely calm down: "Why An Hao? Why do you have to take her away? Do you like her that much?"
"This is my business and it’s none of your concern!" Hua Jin said, "Just do your job. If you feel that staying here you can’t control your behavior, just go back. I’ll have soone else co to take over!"
"What do you an by that? I’ve been back in the country for so long, and this mission is almost complete! You want to replace ? Isn’t that stealing my efforts?" Yuan Yunong angrily stabbed the at on her plate with her chopsticks in frustration.
"You brought this upon yourself. Do you realize your recent actions have been full of holes? You’re no longer a competent intelligence agent. Your presence only puts others in danger! Therefore, I’ve been considering transferring you out quickly! Go back and prepare!" Hua Jin pondered over it again and realized that this was the only way everyone would be safe.
"No! I won’t leave! Hua Jin, you can’t treat like this!" Yuan Yunong raised her hand to grasp Hua Jin’s hand placed on the edge of the table, but he shook it off. She stared at him in shock for a mont and saw the anger and determination in his eyes. She knew she had touched his bottom line.
He is the leader of an organization; he has the right and power to execute her.
However, perhaps he still rembered their past and had not acted against her.
"Hua Jin, I understand, I understand..." Yuan Yunong sheepishly withdrew her hand. She didn’t want to completely fall out with Hua Jin, she adored this man, even if he didn’t love her back, even showing concern would suffice, "You want An Hao just because of the mission requirents, right?
